No 5 was at the end of all the units with a table and chair outside to sit, have yr coffee and enjoy the view. The room was big, bed was comfy and had all the amenities that is needed. With a Restuarant on site.. just 80 steps from my room ( I counted). Lovely outside area to sit under the trees. Braai facilities. Everything is there for you to enjoy. Being in Calitzdorp was fantastic as my ancestors started the "dorp". The Museum is just up the road with so much history of how it all started. So.. yes..I enjoyed my stay and wished I booked another day.

The hosts were very welcoming when we arrived and were very helpful. The evening meal on site was very good. A pleasant environment.

We booked a room with a large double bed but when we arrived we were told that that room as not available. The room we got was perfectly fine except that the double bed was small (also the duvet was too thick). The breakfast was ok but we would have preferred to be able to help ourselves to cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit rather than just being given our allocation. We would have liked to say goodbye when we left but the hosts were not around.

We have stayed here before and will continue to support Karoo Life BnB. It is relaxed, convenient, welcoming and value for money. The breakfast is great and their restaurant is well above expectations and popular with evening diners. I always enjoy a swim which is a great relief in the Karoo heat. The rooms are comfortable and clean with air-conditioning and a fan.

Nothing not to like and with superb Boplaas whisky and wine cellar just down the road, you cannot go wrong!

Loved the breakfast especially the fruit, yoghurt and muesli. The staff were very attentive and ready to serve with a smile. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely appearance i.e. the cushions and throw. We certainly loved the warm shower. We made use of the garden to enjoy a cup of tea and the pleasant surroundings.

I found the double bed a little "small". I would have liked a more comfortable chair to relax in . The one in the room was functional.

Very comfortable room. We had a room in the garden. A/c worked well thank goodness as it was a hot day. We were able to sit in the garden relaxing in the shade of the trees. Lovely to have a swim when we arrived. We ate at the property on our second night and had excellent pizzas. This was a return visit for us and it was every bit as good as the first. Lovely friendly dogs

Warm people and friendly staff. Dinner options sufficient and can please most pallets. Would have liked to stay longer but not able to do so this time

Breakfast could be more generous otherwise everything was lovely. Nice big fire outside by Pizza area would also make sitting outside a bit more pleasant as we had to sit outside first evening for dinner.

I really enjoyed my stay. The host were really friendly and accommodating. The room is big and equipped with everything I needed and more. Everything felt so authentic and warm. The beds are really comfy and even had electric blankets. It well situated, away from the "noise" in the main road, but still central. Although I never knew the street could be so busy. I enjoyed the breakfast as well. For what I paid, it definitely exceeded my expectations.

If I have to be critical, I think the breakfast could do with some finishing touches. It was tasty for sure, but it was lacking that something extra. Maybe dropping the scoop of mushrooms for another piece of toast or the piece of boerewors for another piece of bacon. Also the shower head isn't the greatest, but I do understand there are water shortages.

The room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 large teenage boys to share comfortably (at least for 1 night!). The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. This made for a great over night stop on the garden route.

Some of the outdoor furniture needed a bit of a clean

lovely place, runs by a couple, green open spacious and country feel, has a deck over looking the pool, used for dining and chilling area, an outdoor pizza oven, and indoor lounge/ restaurant area. rooms are large ample beds, nice large bathroom area with good shower. a/c and ceiling fans. car park is inside the property. lovely staff very helpful and happy. hosts are friendly and easy to communicate , all was great 👍

The room was very clean spacious and comfortable it was one of the Karoo Life cottages. Superb hosts and fabulous boxer dog called Liffey. We ate at the guest house in the evening on the stoep and the food was excellent. Lovely friendly atmosphere with other guests. Excellent breakfast - the largest fruit salad yogurt and museli I’ve ever encountered! My husband’s full English was also excellent.
