The view out the window from our two apartments was just divine. So peaceful sitting on the balcony in the swing chair listening to the birds there. The decor was unique and of high quality-really lovely to just sit and look around in your room. The cats were appreciated by our kids!! The receptionists and waiter we met were super thoughtful and efficient. Bikes!! Meerkats! Breakfast delicious!

It was very very cold, difficult to get the rooms warm-suggest ceiling fans to push the heat that rises into the high ceiling space downwards. The bed in my room was not so supportive and I woke with a sore back the next morning. The restaurant require you to pre-order your meals, which I missed, thus experiencing a very long wait for dinner, even though there were only 4 other groups dining at the same time.

Nice and spacious room. Everything was clean. Staff were very friendly. Nice garden with pool to relax if good weather.

This place is very family-oriented / kids-friendly. There is a playground in the garden and toys foreseen in the restaurant area. During our stay, the majority of other guests were families with young kids. If you are traveling without kids looking for a relaxed or romantic getaway, this is probably not the best place to stay.

What a gem in the heart of the Karoo! Beautiful property and a stunning room. The room was bigger than normal and very comfortable. The bath and outside shower was a bonus. I loved the egg chair on the patio and we soaked up the mountain views. So many little extra touches like bath salt makes all the difference.

The wasp nest on our patio roof. Hopefully this will be remove before it becomes a problem. Dinner was communicated as being served from 18:00 until 19:30 although most guest only arrived around 19:30. The early supper was peaceful and allowed us to soak up the sunset views.

We loved our beautiful spacious honeymoon suite with mountain view. Gorgeous airy room, comfortable bed, large bathroom with tub, good air con. The staff were wonderful - so friendly and helpful. Loved the grounds and was thankful for the cool refreshing swimming pool! The meals were excellent too. I highly recommend going out early to see the meerkats. The tour is well organized. We loved our guide, Genovan, and learned so much about these adorable creatures. Overall, our stay was perfect! I just wish we'd had more time.

The staff were super friendly and helpful and really happy to help with special requests. Dinner was really good value and the food was excellent. We also loved the Meerkat experience so most definitely make sure you book that. There seemed to be lots of kids so I think they cater to family groups well.

We stayed in the Stone Cottages which is away from the main farm and had no water in the morning. And the bedrooms definitely need air conditioning…fans don’t really do the job on the hottest days. Some areas could do with a refurb but that doesn’t detract from a lovely venue.

We stayed one night in De Zeekoe Guest farm. The staff were very friendly and helpful.. The rooms were clean and had lovely views. We relaxed by the pool and had drinks. The dinner was very good and breakfast plentyful, although you have to pay extra if you want a cappucino rather than a coffee. Food and drink was very reasonable.

We were dissappointed that we couldn't do the early morning meercat trip as it was fully booked. We were told we should of booked it when we booked our room, but there was not mention of it, when I booked the rooms.

Food and location was amazing. Nice warm fires to keep you warm in the lounge and the restaurant, nice homely feel with the 2 pet cats strolling through the lounge and restaurant warming themselves by the fire. The staff and management were very helpful and friendly.

We had no hot water on arrival and had to request someone to go into the room to remediate. The Electric blanket on a double bed was only for a single bed turned sideways, so your feet never got warm and only 1 switch. The heater was the aircon on the wall which never heated the room. The children's meal portions were tiny, and we had to order 2 and charged for 2.

Everything. From the welcome board with my name on at the entrance, the welcoming at reception, the spacious, beautiful room, the view, and of course the scrumptious food, breakfast, and dinner. The staff at reception also assisted with booking for us at the Cango caves. When we arrived at the caves, we were so thankful that they did, because many people who did not book, were turned away!We loved everything, the serenity and cleanliness, the bird life. pool and beautiful garden.

Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with lovely views of the farm. Dinner was a highlight — the ostrich bobotie was outstanding, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The peaceful setting made it all even more special. Highly recommended!

De Zeekoe had great hospitality. They had animals around their property and kitties that sleep with you if you like and they want to. The property gives you free brandy as a nightcap and has a fire stove in the rooms for the cold winter nights. The food was also A+.

The meerkat tours only go once a day and have only a few available spots per tour. This must be booked way in advance. Which doesn't make sense. Meerkats should be able to be seen all day long, like elsewhere in Africa. This seems to be an extremely conservative approach.
