Very neat and tidy units, breakfast is warm and welcoming. Did not stay long enough to make use of the onsite facilitities. Staff and host friendly and attentive

Rooms are not soundproof enough so you can hear next door clear as day. Not a major issue but the guests next door were up early an we could hear all their movements.

Featherbed provided a fantastic 2 bedroom self-catering unit (breakfast optional) in central oudtshoorn. We bought and cooked our first ever ostrich egg (24 chicken eggs) and made scrambled egg using the kitchen. One of several independent cottages on site, it caters to families and tour groups alike. Our kiddo loved the pool, and we braaied karoo lamb at the lapa. Despite the intense temperatures, we woke up to rain (the first time since November 2024). Although their was aircon in the unit, it would have been superb to have aircon in each of the bedrooms

The host was exceptional and willing to cater to your every need. The chalet/unit we stayed in was clean and well looked after. The staff maintained and cleaned the grounds and the pool area every day we were there. There is wifi throughout and DSTV in every unit. It's coveniently located just outside of the town centre but within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars and other amenities. Local attractions are only a few minutes drive away. It is in a secure complex so you feel safe at all times and don't need to worry about you or your car. Would definitely stay there again if we're in the area.

No shaded parking for cars on the chalet side.

An incredible 2 night Family Stay in Oudtshoorn. The host Didi was amazing, allowing us to check in at 13:00 after a long drive with our kids from Plettenberg Bay. She was also kind enough to share information a discount vouchers for tourist attractions in the area. The apartment was well equipped and very aesthetically pleasing. The grounds & gardens were always spotless. Beds were very comfortable.

The only downside was the shower cubicle that leaked water from the sides following a shower, wetting the entire bathroom floor.

Didi is an excellent host and made us feel welcome from the get go! She checked on us regularly during our 2 day stay, without being overbearing. The little extras made the difference - home baked biscuits in the unit, free ice, excellent braai wood at very reasonable prices, recommendations for restaurants, the perfectly kept gardens, and the list goes on. I have never stayed in an establishment that is so well run, clean and comfortable. I would not stay in any other place in Oudtshoorn. Thank you Didi, your hospitality definitely contributed to making our 2 night stay in Oudtshoorn memorable and we will certainly be back!

There was honestly nothing we didn't like.

We had such an wonderful stay at the Featherbed. Didi was so warm and welcoming it felt like we have known her all our life. We had coffee machine, rusks, cookies and chocolates on the beds. Had such a good sleep as the beds are just so comfortable. There was everything we needed. In the courtyard there was a pool, grass for the kids to play and an seating area with television to watch some sports. The place is very safe and we even had a small seating area outside our door with a braai area. We got our own remote for the gate to come and go as we wanted. We were there for a chess tournament and when we came back after a long day she had made us some 'vetkoek' as she said she knew it was a long day for us. Didi is a wonderful, kind and generous person with a big heart and makes you feel at home. The staff was friendly and always smiling when we saw them. Will definitely be returning!!!

We had a very lovely stay, Didi the host was very friendly and accomodating and treated us like she knew us for a long time. Even accomodating us for a much needed bigger cooler bag for the day much appreciated. Neat and Tidy unit. Conviniently located to the main centre for our purpose. Unit had most of the essentials you need. General amenities was nice although did not use as did not have the time to.

Suppose the wifi could have been more consistently connected in the unit we stayed. Acknowldeging that this may have been out of the host's control.

We loved the place from the minute we got there. The host Didi was exceptional 👌 She went out of her way for us, even arranged hot coffee when there was no electricity. The rooms are fresh Asolutely clean and neat. Very comfortable beds. We had a nescafe pod coffee machine in our room...wow! Plenty of space for the kids to run around freely in a very safe environment. If you touring the outshoorn and surrounding areas this is an excellent choice... Thank you Didi for your wonderful hospitality

Our stay was too short!

The Featherbed was great value for money for our family of four. The accommodation was modern, very comfortable, and had all the amenities for a long stay. To add to the warmth of the property, the host was marvellous with loving and genuine personal care and to our comfort. We also enjoyed the use of the pool table and the common area during our stay. The property also boasts lovely two person accommodation, well separated from family units, which is great for discerning couples or business minded individuals. Thank you for a lovely short stay. We hope to be back for a longer stay in the near future.

Wow! The Featherbed exceeded our expectations by far. Stay here when you visit Outshoorn! OK, the room was great, the terrace was lovely, safe parking, ... but the owner Didi was amazing! We felt so welcomed, the whole property was spotless. The included breakfast was so delicious, unfortunately we only had two nights.
