We had 3 rooms for 10 nights: 1. ALL The staff are EXCELLENT. From check in, porters, valets, room service, housekeeping, pool attendants, waitresses and chefs at breakfast. 2. Reception tried to check us in early. 3. The rooms are a fine size and fully kitted out. 4. The breakfast was fantastic, huge range of hot and cold buffets, and the staff more than happy to do specific coffees. 5. There’s a quiet dining area which helped for my mum with her hearing aids. 6. Room service was generally fast and great quality. 7. As many free bottles- still or sparkling- of water that you wanted each day. 8. If you request extra free services like razors they are there promptly. 9. We were SO THANKFUL that the hotel has a large enough generator to run the AC system during the constant power cuts that South Africa currently has! 10. Valet parking was superb, friendly and prompt- saving a lot of time and money. 11. Staff cleaned our room and would have been happy to change towels and linen each day if wanted (we asked them not to!) 12. The hotel is across a small pedestrian bridge to a huge mall which meant a massive choice of activities and restaurants. 13. The pool area was a very nice place to sit and read. 14. The spa seemed popular and professionally run. 15. Free and fast WiFi. 16. The AC system was fantastic and got your room cold or warm promptly- you could control what you wanted in each room. 17. Within the hotel there’s a grill restaurant which was excellent.

1. The housekeeping was a bit hit and miss- cleaners were different each day so sometimes you got all new linen when you didn’t need it; sometimes you didn’t get new towels or loo paper or water when you did need it! But service when called for was always prompt. 2. TV channels were limited. 3. TV was meant to be able to descend into the end of bed cabinet but ours couldn’t as the remotes were lost/ didn’t work in some rooms. 4. Food service was slow one lunchtime by the pool- but it was peak season and they seemed under staffed. 5. Hotel should have some security by the pedestrian bridge to the mall as at nighttime we got followed and it’s a bit scary- would not recommend that short walk alone and late at night. 6. Lighting systems a bit confusing in the room.

Everything is always awesome which is why we keep returning to the Crystal Towers Marriott Hotel at Century City. This was our 4th stay and every time it feels like home, with the friendliest staff we've ever encountered, who now greet us like family.

The housekeeping in the bedroom needs some attention by management in order to maintain the superior service we've been used to. For example; still and sparkling water wasn't replenished every day, likewise the complimentary coffee and biscuits and had to be asked for on occasions. This isn't a criticism however it's merely an observation compared to our previous experiences of the hotel.

I like the location where the hotel is very near to alot of facilities. The staff is very friendly and they accommodate you with alot of things. The breakfast was very nice and it was a variety that you can choose from.

Just the fact when we want to park by the parking lot we didn't had a tag to go in. We had to wait for the security to open for us. The other thing is you must pay for parking a night R85 but it's not the same by the residency of crystal towers. We were also gave a room where guest was booked into already but it was still a good stay. Just those small things that they must double check.

We stayed in the newly renovated 3rd floor rooms which enjoy a new layout but still have a great view. Bed was comfortable and room was very quiet. Breakfast was a little disappointing as the fruit was tasteless but there was plentty of other choices. We had dinner in the on- site restaurant which was good and the Hussar Grill serves fantastic steaks etc. Very convenient to be able to walk to Canal Walk shopping centre. Lovely swimming pool area for suntanning or swimming. Very quick and easy access to the N1 for Cape Town CBD or Paarl or West Coast.

The toilet did not flush correctly. We hope they have sorted this issue out.

Great choices for breakfast that cater for most dietary requirements. The staff here were SO helpful and friendly and could not do enough to accommodate our needs including sourcing ginger juice for my son who had a sore throat! We had the rooms facing Table Mountain and the views were spectacular so do consider booking these if they are available Another in our party had an upgraded room and this had a bathtub - an amazing option if available as the views from the bath are special! The location is in easy walking distance of a large shopping centre with a variety or fast food options, a cinema as well as clothing stores which came in handy as we had to buy jackets to cater for the unexpected cold snap during a very windy December!

I was disappointed that the spa was separate from the hotel and I was unable to make a booking during my stay. It may be useful to let those staying know the details for the spa and make them aware of the services available so that they can factor this in when booking their stay.

1. The separate halal kitchen is awesome. Having this as an option for us meant a lot. 2. The staff are friendly. 3. The breakfast is delicious and there is a variety. My children loved the pancake machine. 4. It is very close to canal walk 5. The carrot cake at the little coffee shop is a must try. 6. It is a beautiful hotel and the rooms are spacious.

1. We stayed for a few nights and the cleaning of the room was not great after day 3. Also the cleaning took place after 2pm. 2. Room service took over an hour to get to us. 3. The spa-Whilst having treatments I could hear doors banging and people chatting. I had booked a massage and the window rattled the entire time - the door rattled too. I was unable to relax at all. The therapist apologized but it wasn’t her fault. Surely the people in charge know that it is windy- the windows should be sealed or something done to prevent this.

Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with loads of options every morning. Room was spacious with a great view, the bed was very comfy and room always cleaned to a high standard. Concierge/front door staff was super friendly and always went the extra mile. Guest Relations was extremely efficient in booking tours and transport and always kept us up to date.

Acara bar staff not very attentive when we visited the pool area Everything else was perfect

Awesome breakfast with professional and friendly staff (which we expected having stayed twice before), great selection albeit consider guests shouldn't have to toast their own breads. Occasionally hot beverage service was forgotten and had to be requested again, as such I consider a staff member(s) should be dedicated to hot beverage service at breakfast. The refitted room was great however the toilet seemed to be fitted very low (ideal for a young child but not for aging adults having to crouch so low). Comfy bed but suggest a blanket is included in the room (we had to request one).

Our expectations were mostly met having known what to expect from previous stays. The Towers Restaurant evening menu seemed to be the same as the Deli with just slightly elevated prices and wasn't as exclusive as we'd known it previously to be (pre-COVID). Occasionally replenishment of room resources wasn't done e.g. bottled water and the same number of refreshed towels and had to be requested, but this did not detract from our overal stay. Suggest Booking.com and other travel sites update their hotel info as there was no daily Managers reception, no sauna etc.
