I loved the Mountain View, Customer Service & the food at The Kraal.

I didn’t like a number of things about our room. Firstly, The furniture in the picture advertised is very different from what we actually got. What we got was way less glamorous. The cupboards are chipped, especially inside when you open the the door that covers the bar fridge-the fridge wasn’t even cold. The glass tables have scratches, the paintwork is of sub-par quality, the painter painted the skirting on the tiles in the bathroom and no one bothered to wipe that paint off. Structurally, the toilet has no window, so if you poop you basically stink up the whole room. 😩 The toilet seat is old and when it’s lifted you can see the brown wood protruding out of it. Yuck! The gowns weren’t white… I could go on but the room quality needs a huge improvement!

We booked this 2 night getaway to relax from a hectic holiday. We stayed in suite 319 which had amazing uninterrupted views from the windows. When we checked in we were taken by golf cart to our room by the reception staff that gave us a guided tour on the way. The room was large and very clean with a massive bed, wardrobe, desk area, table and chairs both inside and on the balcony. There was a mini bar that you could choose what you wanted in. There was a large bathroom with a bath, shower and two sinks as well as a separate toilet. We ate in the Kraal restaurant on both nights of our stay and we found the staff and food to be amazing and great value for money. The selection for breakfast was great. The pool area was great with little cabanas and sun-beds to enjoy the sun. The whole hotel was peaceful and relaxing and felt like a little oasis.

everything was excellent, from the cleaning to the restaurant, all excellent. Anyways, I am very happy, my second time going there and I still will come back for more. Everyone is just nice there, including the golf cart drivers, excellence throughout

Suggestion is that when people go to breakfast, clean the room, I hanged the sign to have it cleaned but it wasn't. Any case yes I could've called the front desk but I thought the sign would do it. Oh, another thing, you guys never answer calls from outside, I wanted to ask questions before booking but calls are never answered, whatsapp is responded much, much later. But once we there none of that happened

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thaba Eco Hotel, with my family, and it was a truly refreshing experience. The hotel offers a perfect blend of privacy and nature, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Nestled in a serene setting, the mountain view from the property is breathtaking and adds to the overall sense of tranquility. One of the standout aspects was the excellent customer service—the staff were consistently warm, attentive, and eager to assist. The location is also a major plus, conveniently close to Johannesburg yet surrounded by natural beauty. The accommodation was spacious and well-designed, allowing for both comfort and relaxation.

That said, one area that could be improved is the menu selection for vegetarians. The options were quite limited, and it would be great to see a more diverse and thoughtful range of vegetarian dishes in the future.

The room was stunning and had a beautiful layout and design with spectacular views. The space inside the room was incredible. The hotel offers golf cart services which adds a pleasant experience and touch while at the hotel. Service from staff members here was exceptional from the reception, golf cart drivers, spa therapists to the restaurant staff. I also did the Eco-drive and Spa, which were wonderful. The room had everything I needed, was spacious, including the bathroom, had a complimentary bar fridge and separate bathtub with shower from the toilet. Lighting was ample and it also comes in the room naturally during the day. The room also had a scenic view of the surrounding Joburg mountain area from the top floor.

Absolutely nothing.

I didn't know I would have to leave my car by reception and be ferried by golf kart everywhere I wished to go but the room was so close to the places we walked. They helped us with our bags the whole time so that was also a plus. The room was quite spacious and nicely put together. The restaurant dinner was stunning and so good. We had meals from the specialty and combo menus. It was filling, not as formal as initially thought and bursting with flavour. The breakfast was also quite good with bottomless juice and technically 3 courses so we were well fed.

Nothing really. I was surprised at how close the next neighbours door was, how the tree in front of the room was hiding the view for my shorter partner, loadshedding. Though the doors are close you don't hear anything from any other room, next time I'll just request an upstairs unit and the generator kicked in after a while. The only change is the rail to be smoother so it's easier to close the large curtains, if a person checks in after 5 maybe close the bathroom curtains for them.

Excellent staff, Excellent views ,beautiful views and clean rooms.perfect place. Food at the restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch and supper. Only little issue with our room was the chain for the one blinds broke and the aircon in room 335 was a bit noisy(not referring to the normal sound of an aircon). very small issues. An outstanding place.

Had some seating issue at Kraal restaurant which really dropped the dinner experience. Aircon was a tad noisy in our room.

Every single thing!!!! The staff were the highlight of our stay!! A big shout out to tsepang and jose!!!! The were welcoming and so helpful!! My girl lerato was the queen of breakfast service!! She was so chatty and helpful and made us feel so welcome!!! That girl deserves a raise!! Tiza at reception checked us out with a huge smile and I’m sorry I couldn’t remember the girl that checked us in but she wore glasses and she was so lovely and helpful too! We were also served at Ebar by lovely guys can’t remember their names but thank you all for making our trip memorable!

Absolutely nothing

The view from our room was beautiful, and we woke to the sounds of nature and watched the sunset from our private balcony. We indulged in great-quality meals, and the portions were big. With a buffet breakfast and bottomless mimosas, you have a wide variety of choices. We booked too late for the anniversary package however they went the extra mile to make us feel special. they placed a handwritten card and balloons on arrival and the restaurant surprised us with an awesome dessert to celebrate us. And the stuff took the time to make us feel welcome by greeting us with hugs and making small talk even though it was pretty busy, just makes one feel valued.

The toilet in our room had no ventilation. I think they can look into installing ventilation fans since there is no space for a window

Location is absolutely beautiful, tranquil and exactly what i needed. The spa lady, Hlengiwe, was so kind, and did an amazing work. The staff in general was amazing, the go kart drivers are just top tier! The view from my room was to die for, loved it!!

The towels are old, disappointing really for such luxurious place. I had 2 off white old towels in the room, not even a bath sheet! But really those should be tossed or donated. The food at the Kraal Restaurant is not great either, the dinner was very disappointing and the waiter was just all over except serving.
