Our stay was superb. Room (Olympia) and bed was just perfect and almost all the staff very helpful and friendly. Location is good and also the breakfast,.where you have 4 options. Eggs Benedict were pitch perfect on the first time, but below average on the second morning, so it seems that quality goes hand to hand with the chef. Had also dinner two times, but not so good experience overall. Finnish sauna is fantastic and pool area very nice, but not so clean as rest of the property.

There is one waitress, who has some kind of obsession with her cellphone. She was on WhatsApp chat and giggling even when she served us, so our order went to the kitchen wrong and we felt it disrespectful. We didn't get this to ruin our great stay. :)

100/10 for the staff! Most definitely! Got there after booking a Deluxe room - I felt the bathroom was a bit small (personal opinion! We are used to space it was still beautiful and clean! Not a complaint lol) I requested if I can upgrade to the Presidential Suite (let's all be honest the jacuzzi AND Spa bath as well as the huge shower tempted me too much 😅) they arranged everything as swiftly as possible and made the transition as comfortable as possible. The premises itself is an experience on its own! Beautiful gardens and views to relax with. Honestly a fantastic experience and I highly recommend a couples getaway there. 😁

It’s a really unique building and garden with lots of quirky decor and little nooks to explore. Nothing like a bland chain hotel! We loved the 1920s speakeasy themed bar area, it would be great for a function like a birthday.

The only shower in our room was inside a hot tub that was difficult to get in and out of, and could be impossible for people with mobility issues. But apparently you can request a room beforehand if you like (we were in the Great Gatsby).

The whimsical atmosphere, staff, food and overall vibes. Fantastic. 👍🏻

The only suggestion I have is perhaps the bath's faucets in Matador can be replaced and/or cleaned a little better, the soap suds have started to stain the silver and it's going green. Also the little "proppie" that closes the drain in the bath is a bit tough to manoeuvre when trying to drain the bath. Not very long-nail friendly😂. Other than that, great 😁👍🏻

Villa Simonne was so interesting! It had so many collectibles used to inspire the quirky exotic decor that we wished we could stay longer than one night. It is a real treasure. The staff was exceptional! One of travel partners needed to pick up a prescription and a staff member drive his wife there! They. Also arranged for a doctor to come to the Villa to see him. That is above and beyond!

we were in a deluxe room but only got a double bed. It made for an awkward night. We had expected a king bed with a garden view room. Our view was of the parking lot. We ordered room service and it came quick but they forgot to bring the dessert (which wasn't very good.)

Rooms are big and spacious, staff if friendly, accommodating and patient, breakfast was delicious. the hotel provided a cot for my toddler and it was very comfortable.

The heater is the apartment living room was not working so the room was too cold and we were uncomfortable. The kitchen does not have any plates and no cutlery so when we ordered pizza we had to eat on serviettes. the couch in the living room was caving in the middle and was uncomfortable to sit? The ceramic table top can be very dangerous to lean on especially for kids as it is not glued to the table. The place and furniture has seen better days, the wear and tear is clearly visible. The wifi connection is weak.

The staff was amazing. I had an injury the day we checked in and they were so accommodating..the room we were given transported us into another place. Too bad it was only for a night. Would have loved to stay longer.

The wifi situation was rather during loadshedding bothersome as I had work to do. Would recommend they look into getting an inverter strong enough to withstand loadshedding or something similar. When the loadshedding returned the wifi was still evidently unstable. Had to use the router I'd come with.

My stay at Villa Simonne was nothing short of unforgettable. From the exquisite decor to the exceptional service ,every moment was a delight. It's aesthetically out of this world. The level of attention to detail is incredible. The breakfast, even the mushrooms, had some special touch. The staff is so professional and world-class. The aircon was already on when we got the room, giving us a literal warm welcome. I don't think I have enough words for the place

Staff service was exceptional. I have never had better service anywhere else. It was a very beautiful room. The interior decor throughout the entire villa is gorgeous. I will definitely be going back the next time i want to take a break.
