Noted a huge improvement since our first visit in February 2025 in staff attitudes and attentiveness. To be commended! Pleasant checkin (the couple of minutes to do the online check saves counter-time). Rooms are comfortable. Great breakfast offering and options, and service levels are above average. Underground parking and floor-access security is good. In all - a vast improvement noted. Well done. We were there for a specific show, so the location is perfect for the Sunbet Arena.

Whilst the 'special' offer on water to your room fridge is commendable - no sparkling was available as an option (stock outage .....not really excusable). Please check on shower water temperatures which seemed a bit cool in the mornings.

Breakfast is nice but very limited compared to The Sun right next or opposite to it. Room is spacious - needs a bit more of a hotel touch when it comes to cleaning and toiletries. It has an iron, it has a small fridge, a nice TV, a place to work.. more than what you need. Location is amazing! you dont even have to pay for breakfast - next to you there s multiple shops that can provide coffee and breakfast. Multiple restaurants for the night or lunch. Shops for cloth or .. and Virgin Active Gym!!

The Gym is not a gym - short and straight - pay Virgin Active Daily pass. Price is much cheaper if you call them directly - one colleague even booked a room on the sport, the same night we arrived, the hotel was almost full and he got better price than what i paid (including breakfast). Try to go above 2nd Floor when you book your room.

Close proximity to the sunbet arena. Clean and comfortable. Easy access to then malls. Good breakfast. Friendly staff who made our stay comfortable.

Through out the period of our stay there was no hot water in the room. The first day the staff organized for us to shower in the nearby hotel as they try to fix the water issue. Still the issue was not resolved,this was an unpleasant experience as this is winter season and no one would like to shower with cold water and that was our experience, having to shower with cold water. Can the hotel do better next time. I was not happy as the hotel did not assist us despite raising a complaint about this.

We had a great stay. The facilities and cleanliness were top notch. The washing machine and dryer were particularly useful. Location couldn't be better. There is a small mall next door which has a Department store as well as a Woolworths food outlet, apart from clothes, shoes stores and so on. However many shops close fairly early. Better to check their timings. The hotel complex itself has a variety of popular restaurants. So one is spoiled for choice. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle service to and from Menlyn Mall, which is very useful. Overall, highly recommended!

We love the location. The hotel is comfortable. Lovely gentleman helped us with our luggage to our rooms and waited with my mom when I had to go back to reception as they gave us the wrong rooms.

Our check in took very long and I found the staff not very friendly at reception. The lady gave me the wrong rooms and I had to go back to reception after waiting long the first time to get the correct rooms. We requested rooms with an interlinking door so that I can help my 85 year old mom. This did not go smooth and took time. I find the hotel expensive.

Title: A Nice Hotel with an Unexpected Surprise I stayed at the Capital Menlyn Maine from June 7-9. It's a very nice place—convenient location, clean rooms, and good service. However, something strange happened that ruined my stay. When I was checking in on Friday, just as I was about to pay with my phone, a man grabbed my phone and ran. He went straight to the security guards, then got into a car and drove away quickly. The next morning, the manager apologized and said the man came to the hotel at the same time as us, so it looked like we were together. They said sorry, but it didn't really help me feel better. Overall, the hotel is nice, but this incident really bothered me. If you stay here, be careful!

The staff at this establishment provided truly exceptional service. We stayed here to attend a concert at the nearby arena, which is within walking distance. However, one of our family members uses a wheelchair, and it was raining heavily on the day of the event. Without us even needing to ask, the staff kindly arranged a complimentary shuttle to take us to the concert, ensuring we didn’t have to push the wheelchair through the rain for several hundred meters.This level of thoughtfulness and care was deeply appreciated and speaks volumes about the team’s dedication to guest comfort and satisfaction.

The location of the hotel is spot on very close to all amenities. Staff were polite, helpful, and made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. Everything ran smoothly.

Something to improve on is the service at breakfast especially when the hotel is busy, having more staff available during these peak times should help. Other than that I would definitely recommend The Capital and I am definitely going to be visiting again

I used Booking.com to reserve my booking but it didn't give an option to add breakfast or dinner. Which at the hotel I had to add it under my booking when paying. The payment for breakfast was not updated on the system in the morning when we went to go eat breakfast.

In my booking I requested two beds which was on the 5th floor but when we got to the room, it was one queen bed. We were already tired to go down to change the room.

we had a one bed apartment. it's spacious and clean. if you are planning on cooking there, you might find it a bit lacking but its great if you want to do breakfast only or a light dinner. it also has a nice restaurant on the top floor, very convenient. unbeatable location if you are looking to dine out and do some shopping or go to a show at the sunbet arena, like we did.
