Unfortunately we arrived later than anticipated and had to leave early the following morning to catch a plane, so I can't really do this elegant guest house full justice, but it's in a lovely setting, nestled among a number of local wine farms and surrounded by vineyards nearby, with a gracious hostess, and well-appointed with everything top-drawer and first quality. The hostess offered to have our breakfasts made earlier than normal, but we had to leave at such an unconscionably early hour that all we had time for was some coffee. I winnowed this stay from a cast of scores, so hope to stay here again when I am less pressed for time.

We had a wonderful stay at Banhoek Corner Guest House. The location is beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains and vineyards, making it a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The owner was very nice and welcoming, offering great recommendations for nearby wineries and activities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again!

Actually, Booking.com messed up the communication about the booked rooms with the guesthouse. I booked the Protea Suite online through Booking.com, but unfortunately, that was not possible due to a minimum two-night stay. Therefore, I got the Junior Suite, which should have been cheaper. The host managed the situation very well, was helpful, and recommended complaining to Booking.com directly. The houses are very nicely decorated; the rooms and common rooms are tidy and well-equipped. Breakfast is exceptional. Parking is provided free of charge. The location is good, between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. We got a very nice recommendation for a pretty unknown winery (Rainbows End)—it didn't disappoint. All in all—very good.

The room had a slightly bad smell, but it got better while the A/C was on. The bedding is great (sheets), but I would recommend changing the cushions to all-down feather ones. I'm generally not a fan of cotton wool, and they were not comfortable at all.

This is an established boutique hotel nestled in the heart of eastern Stellenbosch. It is stunning. After a day of wine tasting come back to this peaceful haven. Love the decor and the old world feel.

The property feels like home or one you’d like to live in. On top of it all, you are well cared for from being warmly greeted by the hostess Magda. You will be shown around and escorted to your room where you will find every need available including a welcome note to you personally! To the amazing breakfast spread, and what a way to start your day.

Our stay at Banhoek Corner Guesthouse was absolutely delightful. The hotel is beautifully situated, offering stunning surroundings that add to its charm. The room we stayed in was spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast was nice. Enjoying breakfast on the porch with the serene view made it even more special. Magda, the owner, was incredibly pleasant and kind, always ensuring we felt welcome. The staff were exceptional—always smiling, friendly, and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Banhoek Corner Guesthouse to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

The location was excellent, 5 odd km's out of Stellenbosch and close to the wedding we were attending in Boschendal .... the breakfasts were just lovely and freshly cooked, lovely fresh fruit and lots of bread selections too. the Best Bit though is the lovely friendly staff...oh and the beds were super-comfortable and the shower was really good too.... beautiful furniture pieces all about and lovely art too

our room was a bit noisy, close to the road, so when we visit again I will request a room facing the other side of the guesthouse, which will be much quieter.

We were a group of friends who travelled South Africa together for the first time and we found heaven of earth in the Banhoek Corner Guesthouse. It is perfectly located just outside of Stellenbosch and very close to some of the best wine estates and restaurants in the region. It was clean and cozy, the staff was very friendly and we just had the best time. Shout out to the Manager Magda who made us feel very welcomed and ensured that everything is fine for us. We will definitely come back.

Highly recommending to stay at Banhoek Corner Guesthouse when in Stellenbosch! The views, the comfort of the rooms, the friendliness and hospitality of the owner, Caspar, was beyond all expectations. Caspar gave us great tipps of what to do in the area, be it hikes to secret waterfalls or wine tastings at his favorite vineyards. He regularly checked in to make sure we are well taken care of and nothing is missing, from pool floaties to champagne coolers :)

Location is adjacent to busy road, which generates noise for much of the day. Not that the guest house can do much about this. But something to be aware of. It did not spoil our stay on this occasion.

We had a wonderful warm welcome from Magda who showed us around the beautiful garden and shared some gems about local places to visit and SA foods to enjoy. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed with a lovely spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed the pool set in tranquil surrounds. We really hope to be able to visit again, for longer.
