The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel so welcome. Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and both our dinner at the restaurant and room service were excellent. The views overlooking Stellenbosch are breathtakingm even in the rain! We were there for a wedding, so didn’t get to make the most of the amenities, but the one & two bedroom villas themselves were absolutely beautiful and felt like great value for money.

Unfortunately, the fourth room we booked which was the one-bedroom hotel room had a persistent sewage smell coming from the bathroom. It seemed to be a plumbing issue. Despite raising it with staff, there was no resolution offered and no other rooms available, which really impacted the experience for the individual in our party staying in that room. We also paid nearly the same as the 1br villa rate for this room that was significantly smaller and had no comparable view – the value just for this room didn’t stack up.

Clouds has the most amazing mountain views but is quite near to the centre of Stellenbosch - about 10 minutes by car. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. There were complementary items offered - fruit, soft drinks, wine and beer. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings. The food was particularly good the second night and again the staff in the restaurant were very friendly. We would stay again!

The parking is a little tricky although there are quite a few spaces. Again, the staff were helpful and suggested we parked in front of the building and then moved the car for us when a space became free.

This hotel is amazing! It's absolutely stunning, and the view from the grounds and the room we had was exceptional. Loved getting a little snack plate and glass of wine upon arrival. Everything was clean and everyone was friendly. They also provided free snacks in the room as well which was lovely - loved the watermelon candies and the wine! It's also very easy to walk over to Delaire Graff Estate for trying some more wines. Bed was comfortable and slept very well after doing the wine tram nearby. Enjoyed coffee on our balcony in the mornings.

The only reason for rating a 9 instead of 10 was that we thought the food we ordered at dinner was just average the evening that we dined onsite, but overall the stay was incredible and I would definitely stay there again!

Lovely property in a great setting with fabulous views. We had the 2 bedroom villa which is very nice, although I do find it a bit odd that it doesn't have any kitchen facilities. The quality of the food we had at breakfast and lunch was great. The view from the pool is stunning and loungers were very comfy. The wines have really improved in recent years and we enjoyed our complimentary tasting over lunch, just wish we had room in our suitcases to take some home.

Some of the staff were great, but some, particularly in the restaurant weren't very attentive at all. The main pool was absolutely freezing, it would be great if it could be heated to take the edge off.

The breakfasts, the friendly staff, comfy beds, space in the villas, the tranquility of the estate.

The bathrooms in the villas could be updated. The rooms have been designed by a man for a man. No long hanging space for dresses, shortage of plug sockets and mirrors for drying hair, no magnifying mirrors for applying makeup. The pool by the villas is only serviced once a day and a shortage of towels whereas the pool by the restaurant has drinking water and sun tan lotion provided and padded loungers. It just lacks luxury.

What a beautiful place to relax! The views are amazing and it's very peaceful. The villa we stayed at is spacious with a large terrace. The villas share a pool, located beautifully and so comfortable with great loungers. The restaurant has the same gorgeous view and the food is great. The great thing is also that they have a gate directly to the Delaire-Graff estate for wine tasting, dinner. They have a fantastic restaurant.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The villa was marvelous with a large bed and a huge living room/kitchen. The whole premises was spotless. Samatha has hospitality in her blood. She had a geniune interest in her guest. She organized a perfect day trip with an outstanding driver for us. The restaurant serves first class dinner. We would stay at Clouds Estates anytime again.

Location supreme, the hospitality was at its best. food was good and the elementary gifts were of high quality enjoyed the room prep and quality of food, breakfast and dinner

fireplace, change to a glass one is warmer attention needed on arrival reception. staff just ignored us more attention needed for wine tasting . info was not good or staff was not interested maybe

Beautiful location. Easy access to the wine yards in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Delicious food, comfortable rooms, incredible views and amazing team looking after us guest. Highly recommend.

Nothing… it was wonderful

Absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The view, the luxury yet very comfortable estate felt perfect. Just magical in every way. Service and food were excellent - best breakfast, snacks, fresh salads and delightful dinner selections. The wine, beautiful private vineyard-overlooking the cloud laced mountains and valleys below made for life time memories.
