The property is ideally located between Stellenbosch and Franschoek, and is nestled between the beautiful mountains. The staff is absolutely lovely and gave us the warmest welcome. We want to express our utmost gratitude to Sandra, Jazmin and Candice, who made our stay exceptionally wonderful. The security guard and gardeners, whose names we unfortunately didn’t catch, were also extremely forthcoming and welcoming. Thank you to all of you for making our stay one of the best of our South Africa trip. A special thanks also goes out to Randall, with whom we did the wine tasting, and who is very knowledgable and passionate about the wine in the region. The service throughout our stay was outstanding, even during times of a full-house, we were always served and confronted with positive and smiling staff. We hope to see you all again one day in the near future!!

Booked Le Pommier for additional guests that were attending my wedding from UK. The guests did not have any complaints and found the staff and facilities very helpful and approachable. One of the guests gave the following account - From the moment we arrived at Le Pommier, we were treated with exceptional kindness from the reception team to the restaurant staff. Our stay was breathtakingly beautiful with views into the gorgeous vineyard. The service was overall outstanding and we will be certainly revisiting! Also a huge shout out to Jasmine, for her thoughtful nature throughout our stay. From helping us with our giant luggage's to arranging private spaces to hold meetings to just being a fabulously approachable person! Thank you!
No concerns were raised by any of our guests.

The location is absolutely out-of-this-world! Overlooking the Simonsberg mountains, the view is unbeatable. I loved the touch of the complementary wine tasting on arrival - the wine was delicious and so reasonably priced. Additionally, my room was spacious and had the same, exceptional view as from the wine tasting area. Just brilliant! And the food was totally delicious too.
Not deal-breakers, but just 2 small things to note that would level up the guest experience: - It would have been lovely to been offered some help with my luggage to the room - The restaurant and wine-tasting area table could be cleaner.

The location in the heart of the vineyards, THE VIEW!!!, the pool. The breakfast was nice; I expected the outdoor terrace to be little more ready and not cleaned while I am there, but it is okay. I appreciated the flexibility with check in and check out.
I would improve the check in process - although I was allowed an early check in which was highly appreciated and it was my prioroty, at a lodge like this with its price tag, I would expect little more customer service at the check in - to explain where is what, when the restaurant closes etc., accessibility of the swimming pool and what is included in the stay (wine tasting? Great! Would be lovely to hear about it and not figure out myself from a teeny tiny guest card). But these are minor things, based on my vast travel experience. The stay was lovely and I will be happy to come back!

What an comfy stay i had with my latest trip to the Cape. The room was spacious and exceeded my needs. Will be very comfortable for a couple as well. The restaurant on the farm was cozy and the food and wine was superb. Also had a breakfast the next morning with a nice cup of coffee overlooking the farm and glorious mountains.
The only drawback for me was the road between Stellenbosch and Pniel, which was a bit busy late afternoon and early mornings, but during the evening it was quiet.

Really so calming, with beautiful views of the mountain. the dam in front of the rooms, makes for a peaceful setting. staff were amazing.
I changed the channel on the TV and completely lost connection. as much as I tried, I could not get TV to come on again. I did not want to have to call for staff to come to the room to set the TV, so I went to sleep. I could not find the switch to turn off lights so slept with a pillow on my head. Perhaps a sign to show you where the light switch is. Light is not a huge problem for me, hence not calling staff, but some clients may not be able to sleep with all the lights on.

The included breakfast was great with multiple options and free coffee included. I even had a free wine tasting included. The location was ideal for a wedding close by. The shower head was broken and water came out sideways, but the receptionist was very friendly to apologise and offer a complimentary bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience. Overall a lovely stay.

Location, the views, the wine (especially the rosé), the staff, spacious rooms. Great with an inhouse restaurant for dinner.
Food could be improved (3/5). Also, when ordering a room with breakfast included it’s somewhat odd that half of the dishes on the menu are not included in the price, you need to pay extra. That gives a stingy feeling. A recommendation, please soften the lights on the restaurant terrace, they are too strong and makes the terrace uncosy at night (the terrace as such is great!).

beautiful suites at a wine estate. beautiful views and swimming pool. candace and the entire team are fantastic people and supportive. good food and restaurant
During loadshedding times the estate has its own generator which is a great addition to the guests. but the location of the generator right next to suite nr 6 is too noisy, especially during night. something to be aware of but the rest is fantastic the location is somewhat remote on top of a mountain but the views make up for that and you need a car anyway ik SA

The place is beautiful with amazing views over Simonsberg, 2 pools, Wine tasting Room, amazing food, great wine and very hospitable staff. Candice checked us in and gave us the lay of the land. She is a jewel of a woman, and although I also work in the hospitality industry and travel a lot for work I’ve never met someone that is so genuinely nice and forthcoming to guests. She always tries to accommodate everyones needs, and I’ve watched her go the extra mile with all other guests too. She’s amazing at her job and you can tell she’s made for working with people. I hope she’s recompensated well for her efforts because she’s really great at her job. Thank you so much for a great stay, and we will return later this month because we loved the place and how we were treated here.
