A beautiful and heartwarming place to stay, just a five minutes walk from Exit 12 of Seoul Station. The friendliest place I have ever visited in my 63 years. The host treated me like family and the place was spotless and cozy. I have stayed in five star hotels with less hospitality and warmth. I will never forget the feeling I got when I arrived. It was like coming home from a trip and not the other way around. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart to Jay and the rest of the staff. You made my stay unforgettable and beautiful. I already want to come back, after only two weeks at home. Maybe one day I will, because I fell in love with Seoul, Aroha Guesthouse and the beautiful experience you contributed to with your kindness and hospitality🩷

The only thing I missed was a drying rack to scrape the bathroom floor dry after showering.

Aroha guesthouse is perfectly located right at the Seoul Station in the heart of the city. Most of the sights are within walking distance and for the rest the subway is only minutes away. The manager Jay is an excellent host and gave me lots of useful tips about my stay. The guesthouse is clean and tidy and well organized so you don’t feel crowded in that small space. Good breakfast and other facilities such as laundry and travel information. Very good restaurant next door.

The noises from the air conditioning made it hard to sleep without earplugs.

This guest house has everything you need if you want a place to sleep comfortably. We are out the whole day so it was perfect for us as. There's a basement downstairs that you can use to heat up your food or do laundry. The bathrooms include soap and shampoo. There are towels provided. And it's also very clean and the staff are friendly. There's AC in the room which is nice!

The only thing I was concerned about was the bunk bed. The top bunk looked a bit stressed, then again my husband is a bit heavy (215 lbs) and tall (6ft 2)... So I wouldn't recommend someone heavy (200 lbs+) to sleep on the top bunk lol

It is very conveniently located near Seoul station, where it only takes about 5-10 minutes to get to the guesthouse. The stay throughout was safe and comfortable. The owners always ensure the guesthouse cleanliness was well maintained. You have all the basic facilities needed for a backpacker, an individual room single bed with space for luggage (so you have your privacy for sure), and the room comes with a double lock. Breakfast was basic but good enough. Owners (Jay and Dad) are very friendly and hospitable. The moment I booked the guesthouse, Jay messaged me on how to get to his guesthouse. All in all, highly recommending it especially to solo travellers who is visiting Seoul. Overall, it had definitely been a pleasant experience for me throughout the stay in this guesthouse.

Except that the room wall is slightly thin i.e. sometimes can hear guest talking, else nothing at all. The guesthouse is safe, neighbourhood is safe, you have comfortable bed with aircon, you have warm shower, every morning there is also basic breakfast before you start the day, last but not least super friendly owners (Jay and Dad). Unless you have super high expectations else, worth every penny for the stay.

Bed was comfortable, good kitchen, washing machine and dryer were great, easy check in, free umbrella, air conditioner was wonderful, the place was exceptionally clean! Wonderful coffee machine, plenty of milk.

The "breakfast included" could have been a little bit healthier - only sugary cereal, white bread, spread, coffee and orange drink were provided. I requested an apple, but they said "Sorry. No fruit provided". Basically, everything was low fiber. Steps down to the kitchen were uneven and quite dangerous... I nearly fell twice. Strange shower situation - the whole room got wet and the shower pointed straight at the toilet and toilet paper... everything got very wet... the hot water system was crazy and unreliable... - kept going hot and cold... but we did get a shower!

The host is really lovely and takes such great care of the guests! The location is perfect if you have to go to the train station it is walking distance, room was tiny but had everything needed, there is a kitchen downstairs and a water dispenser at the floor of the rooms. Recommended!

Nothing all was good! Just a tip for other travelers, to reach the point where the AREX train leaves it takes a bit from the entrance near to the guesthouse but is completely doable. It is perfect to catch the normal trains or the metro

Provide everything as they said in website, the room’s clean, public spaces(kitchen&bathroom) are also clean, no separate shower, but its kinda hard to find a room with separate shower with reasonable price in seoul so I’m good with it, beside, they offer a in bathroom slipper so my foot will not get wet. everything’s well functioning, instructions are clearly written in korean, english and traditional chinese, breakie are basic but pretty good, water pressure is awesomely hight, they have free dryer machine and cheap washing machine. Super close to CU, 7-11, and Seoul station. employers are kind.

I don’t rate properties much but making an exception for this one. When booking a place to stay in Seoul for two weeks I was fully prepared to be dropping a lot of money on a place to stay in the heart of the city, but Aroha is cheap yet fair. You have shared bathrooms but they’re clean and there’s multiple to use at anytime, washing machine services are cheap (500₩) and easy to use too. The location in fantastic as it’s a brief walk to Namsan tower for an easy hike up a small mountain and less than a 10 minute walk from Seoul station, it’s very easy to get to via train from both airports though the host will arrange a taxi if you’d prefer (it’ll be pricey from Incheon) The host is very accommodating and easy to reach via WhatsApp’s for most hours.

The key would sometimes struggle to fit in the lock for my room and room cleaning services were only offered once halfway through my two week stay, though you might be able to increase that if you request it. Though given the price you pay these are trite complaints considering everything you get instead. Would recommend for anyone on a budget, or for those who don’t wanna drop close to £2k on a hotel

Aroha was in a great location, not far from Seoul Station. The room wasn't huge, but there was a space to put our backpacks elsewhere which really helped. A limited breakfast was included in the price (cereal and toast, juice and coffee), which made our lives much easier. Overall though, a good price and location.

As we were in a hostel we were sharing a bathroom, but some visitors used it very late, so it was a bit noisier than expected. The hosts were friendly, though one was constantly in the kitchen doing laundry whilst guests were trying to have breakfast which was a bit annoying.

I highly recommend this place for all tourist for a lot of reasons. One, it’s just 5mins walk from seoul station where you can take trains anywhere you want to go. The room is clean and accessible from a grocery store, coffee shops and train. Next, the place is SAFE - locks and good lightning. The host provided ALMOST EVERYTHING you need from cleaning to hygiene stuffs, towels etc. The appliances are CLEAN such as the laundry and the refrigerator. The bedsheets are clean and the bed is comfy. The host also is VERY RESPONSIVE anytime, very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this guys. We’ll positively book here again and recommend to a lot of friends.
