Location, friendly staff and breakfast was good.

Room was small for the 3 of us and the shower was over the bath.

Location is in a perfect position to enable good access to the whole of Seoul.

- Easy check-in process (self-service but staff often help you with it) - Elevator locked by code - Room locked by code - Floor corridors were silent - Room entirely controlled by one panel - Bottle of water provided in fridge each day (can easily refill with water-coolers by the lift) - I would recommend a South facing view as it gives a good view of Namsan Tower - Would be more than happy to re-book this hotel if I came to Seoul again

- Lights cannot be switched off by the bed, has to be done by one panel on the opposite wall - No plugs by the beds (I used a powerbank on the nightstand to make up for this) - I stayed for 4 nights, 1 of which in a 3-bed room. This was the same size room as my single room which made it a tight fit so would only stay for 2-3 nights in the triple room

Location was great, we could go anywhere by subway or bus, and most importantly there was Airport Limousine bus, right in front of hotel, so we didn't have to walk for a long to get to the airport (especially with heavy luggage) People on the reception were super nice and helpful Self check-in was super easy Room is quite small, but it has everything you would need for the stay

We were from Kazakhstan, but the booking registration booked us by Russia, therefore it had some issues with self check-in process. I would prefer my country be represented by itself. Also there was a card check before check-in, they would try to withdraw the amount from my credit card and then cancel the operation to make sure that I have enough money, but I didn't know that they would do that. If I knew, I would have transfer from my deposit in advance, so it took me some time without having proper internet connection.

The neighborhood and soundproof is good. There are few breakfast options around the hotel (Tous les Jours, A Twosome Place, Ediya Coffee) with reasonable prices so you can easily go out for breakfast.

The air conditioner only worked for a short period of time after turning on. Although it was already cold in winter but sometimes the air conditioner automatically stopped operation so we felt like there was no airflow in the room and it was kinda hot. The nearest exit subway station is Exit 6 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station but keep in mind that there are very FEW escalators and elevators to ground levels so if you carry heavy luggage and use subways, be prepared for endless stairways!

The convenience of having a buffet and laundry at the hotel is a big plus. The food was great and the staff are very nice and kind. The facility was able to hold and secure our luggage prior to check-in time. The staff were very helpful in assisting us get taxi's for a large group to certain destinations and also assisting us in finding the best way to get around Seoul. I will definitely be recommending Hotel Skypark Dongdaemun I to my friends and family planning a trip to Seoul, Korea.

Good location: Several metro stations and bus stops (also for night buses) within short walking distance (directly across the street to a few hundred meters); Public bicycles can be rented directly across the street; For those who like to walk, more distant sights such as Gwanghwamun Square or the five great palaces can also still be reached in under an hour on foot. For example, you can walk along the Cheonggyecheon River, which is very close to the hotel. I personally even walked twice to the main train station (about 3.6 km); Even later in the evening, restaurants and street stalls can be found nearby and at the DDP even shopping opportunities. Convenience stores (open 24 hours) are on every corner in Seoul anyway. Room and hotel facilities: The beds were comfortable; The room can be darkened well; The air conditioning cools well; Despite location directly on the main road and many guests in the hotel, it was quiet in the room; Water pressure and temperature in the bathroom were very good; It was cleaned thoroughly every day; Sockets at the bed were available, but were blocked by the bed, so I did not find them at first; There is a large table in the room, at which I worked once and ate a pack of ramen several times. There is also a kettle and coffee and tea in the room for this. Possibly chopsticks could be added. Otherwise, many utensils can be borrowed at the reception; The breakfast I have not used and can therefore make no statement about it; The coin-operated washing machines were also good and easy to use.

The WLAN is actually not particularly fast, but not terrible either. It is sufficient to stream videos. Besides, I would recommend a SIM card with unlimited data volume for the vacation anyway, then you won't have any problems. Personally, I would have liked a more detailed briefing. For example, I (and other vacationers who checked in at the same time) did not understand the use of the key card at first (you have to hold the card exactly over the handle). Also, I didn't find out until later that you are allowed to use the water in the hotel room refrigerator for free. I had thought of a mini-bar and had previously filled my water bottle at the water dispenser in the hotel hallway.

Great hair products in the bathroom which you can also purchase at the front desk. Good breakfast - scrambled eggs were perfect texture! Lovely views from the top floor. It was nice not to have cards to open the room and use a code instead

Single beds could be wider

The location of the hotel is very good, close to bus stations, within walking distance of a mall and many streets with restaurants. Also, within walking distance of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The staff is friendly. You can also do self checkin / checkout. The room is spacious, very clean with a comfy bed.

The breakfast lacks variety. There are no desserts and just espresso / americano in terms of coffee. Also, the light at the entrance of the room (which is turning on based on movement sensors) is too sensitive. Whenever someone walked past our room, that light would turn on.
