It is a Hanok stay, which has a lot of charm, but due to a recent renovation it also has a few perks that traditional Hanok properties may not have - notably, an own bathroom. I was very comfortable during my entire stay. Both Cathie and Ara were extremely helpful and very sweet! It’s obvious that this house is kept with a lot of love, which means taking care of the property; I didn’t mind at all, it was a unique experience and I enjoyed it a lot. It is situated extremely well, very close to Gyeongbokgung Station and Sejong Village Food Culture Street; but still really quiet at night. I had my room to myself, which was good because there is not a lot of extra space, so I imagine it might not be super comfortable for two people (but not impossible!). I’d definitely come back next time I’m spending time in Seoul!

The room pictured is the one I stayed in. The Guest House is perfect. The room looks out into the garden that’s in the center of the Hanok and has a private entry from the rest of the guest house. There’s cozy sitting areas in the guest house where you can rest, listen to music and get something to drink or a have a light snack. The lady that owns the guesthouse is so nice and friendly. She helped make my first trip to South Korea one of the best trips I’ve had so far. If you want to experience a traditional Korean experience, I would highly recommend staying here.

It was a great place - cosy, clean, close to subway, resturants and cafes. Very comfortable beds! Got excellent service and help, always with a smile. Especially grateful to Ara who helped us with our lost luggage!!

Nagne House was one of the best places we stayed at while in South Korea. The location was super central; only 1-2 mins walk from Gyeongbokgung subway station (line 3), and right in the middle of a bustling little area with tonnes of cool restaurants and bars. It’s really uniquely decorated which gives it a very homely and calm vibe and has its own little cafe/bar attached to it which we found handy.

Being a restored, 100-year old hanok space comes at a premium, so the rooms have only limited storage space. I’d say the regular rooms are best suited to 1-2 people max.

The location was really great. Nagne house is located in a small alley next to a street full of cute restaurants and bars. You will really feel like a local while roaming those streets. It is really nice to come home to a small hanok when you've been out in busy Seoul all day. Especially one of the hosts of Nagne House, Dong Guen, really made me feel at home and was happy to help whenever. Thanks so much!

It didn't bother me that much, only when you're trying to sleep in a bit, but the walls are really thin. You can literally hear everything. At night it is quiet tho, so it wouldn't stop me from booking again.

The location is very convenient, just steps away from the airport bus stop, so you don't have to lug your luggage far. Food is easily available and the few places I went to nearby had English menus. Gyeongbokgung Palace is just around the corner, and if you walk a bit more you can reach Bukchon Hanok village - it's very cute old area for photos. Room is small but expected, and it's a nice change from the usual hotel rooms. There's a nice courtyard to sit in.

I wish they have a common seating area.

The area surrounding Nagne House is extremely cool. Small streets, vendors, lanterns across the alley ceilings. It was beautiful and seemed very authentic. I felt very welcomed when I arrived. The hosts showed me my room, explained the rules of the house and then shared some plum tea with me that was extremely tasty. The entire experience was really nice and I would both book this place again and recommend folks to book this place.

I can't really think of anything that I didn't like. Nothing was unexpected based on the pictures and descriptions. I would recommend this place if you're aware of what it is and what you are getting. It's small and private and I loved it.

The owner of NaGaNe hanok is very kind and welcoming. He is also very helpful, giving great advice for any questions you have about where to go in Seoul or how and when to take the airport shuttle service.

There is not much to say about what I did not like. The price was great, the location was amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hHnok was updated for AC and power outlets. There's nothing to not like.

Good location, quiet environment, warm room with all necessities, helpful friendly staff especially Cathie ❤️ She has the most patience to answer all my questions and given me best guidance. Truly appreciate her kind assistance.

The room is a bit too small, fit 1 person fine, but not for 2 persons.

Located in a bustling neighborhood Nagne house was an oasis of peace and quiet at night. Loved the traditional decor and attention to detail! Owner and staff were incredibly nice and helpful and it is easy to get anywhere in Seoul from there as well. Will for sure be back!
