- Excellent location, just a few mins walk to City Hall Station. If you don’t want to take public transportation, it’s only round 20 mins walk to Myeong-dong (through underground subway in the station) and to Gyeobgbokgung Palace (it’s just located at the end of the road where the hotel is). - Koreans hotel is one of the drop-off and pick-up stops of the K-limousine, we get to the hotel easily with 2 kids (14 & 11) and 8 suitcases. - We stay in the deluxe family room, 2 double beds, comfortable enough. - There is self laundry service at the 22/F, very convenient. - Plenty of restaurants around. There is also a convenient store just down stairs. - Friendly staff. Gave us good recommendations of where to eat nearby according to our preferences.

Very convenient location in the heart of the city with multiple sites and restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff is very friendly. Room was large and bed was comfortable.

Although there have obviously been some upgrades, the facilities are still a bit dated. Very poor lighting in the room (no way to read in bed despite the pictures) and there are not easily accessible plugs to charge electronics by each side of the bed. Only way to turn lights on/off is by a console on one side of the bed. Only option for breakfast is the buffet which is a bit pricey. Unless you’re really hungry better option is Starbucks just around the corner.

Room was very spacious and clean (toilet comes with a bidet!). Although it looked a bit old, but it gives the antique feel and the facilities in the room are very updated. The airport bus 6701 drop-off and pick-up point is conveniently located right in front of the hotel. The hotel is in between City Hall Stn and Gwanghwamun Stn hence very convenient to get to other places. A lot of sightseeing places within walking distance (i.e Cheonggyecheon, Gwanghwamun Palace, Deoksugung Stone Walls). Hotel staff were also fluent in English and were very helpful in answering our queries.

The check-in counter is quite squeezy, can only serve about 2 - 3 guests at a time. May be crowded during holiday seasons, but we came during non-peak season, not many guests were checking in at the same time. The hotel lobby is also lacking of sofa seats. Didn't see any hotel attendant who could help to bring up our luggage. We had to bring up and down our luggage ourselves.

Location is near train station and walking distance to Deoksugung Palace and Myeongdong area. The reason that we booked this is because it has direct stop from the airport (6701 bus that stops right in front of the hotel). However, there were rallies during our stay therefore the roads in front of the hotel were blocked. The property itself is one of the oldest hotels in the city but the facilities were maintained well. Prices are ok, room is clean, breakfast buffet has a wide variety serving asian and western food. We have chosen the family room with kids' amenities and toys - which I highly recommend for family travellers with little kids to make them entertained.

Not that it is in the control of the hotel, but there were rallies in front of the hotel which can make guests feel uncomfortable.

- location is near public transport, tourist attractions (only walking distance to famous palaces), and lots of restos and convenience stores around - room is spacious enough for family of 5 (2 adults, 3kids) - staff are accommodating (they allowed us to check in w/out additional charges even though the room we booked is for 4pax only and we are a family of 5) - we were not able to try their restaurant coz we were always out but one of the guests said the food was quite good - they clean the room everyday

- the hotel is a little old so the facilities are quite dated but it was well maintained and clean - their laundry area is quite small, we were not able to do our laundry coz it was always full - the price is quite expensive

Koreana Hotel was great! The location is so convenient; the train station is less than a five minute walk and Myeongdong Shopping street is about a twenty minute walk. If you're taking the K-Limousine airport bus, the stop is right outside the hotel. There's also a CU right next door. The centralized location made it so easy to get around. The rooms were a great size too, especially for a solo traveler; great lighting in the bathroom too. Very friendly and helpful staff. i'd definitely stay here again!

I'd change the hours of the fitness center to open a bit earlier.

Hotel Koreana is a long standing hotel located in central Seoul. Even though its interiors are aged here and there the rooms are quite well maintained and spacious enough. We could fit three big luggages without any problem and still have enough space to maneuver the room. The AC is working well and adjustable after one’s wish. The view from the rooms is also spectacular - you either look towards city hall or the Deoksogung Palace. Its main advantage is the prime location close to three subway lines (City Hall line 1, 2 and Gwanghwamun line 5) making it extremely easy to get almost anywhere in Seoul < 40 minutes. Additionally, you can easily walk to the central palaces, nearby areas such as Jongak / Jongno / Insa-Dong or take a stroll at Cheonggyecheon. We stayed here the second time and I would always recommend Hotel Koreana for a stay in Seoul.

All bathroom amenities within the older rooms are very low - especially the sink. Even for the average Korean this seems to be outdated. The safe could be a little bigger to fit larger items, e.g. a laptop. There is only one bedside table

Nice location, which allows you to walk to all key places around (Myeongdong, Insadong, Hanok Village, etc.). The rooms were of a good size and comfortable. Room amenities and cleanliness were good. It was easy to access eateries and convenience stores. On the weekend we were there, there was a protest (this area is a usual protest area), due to which vehicle movement was restricted towards the hotel. They don't allow the gym for ages below 16 years (for families with teens interested in the gym). No creamer or milk was provided for coffee, and no toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, creams, etc.; only soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided) in the rooms. Overall, we had a very good stay and were happy with the hotel.

Very close to Gyeongbokgung Palace , Gwanghwamun Plaza and Deoksugung Palace. Metro stop is just 400m away and connects you to any other places in Seoul. Direct bus to international airport is just in front of the door.

The location was very good. Easy walking distance to Myeongdong, the Cheonggyecheon stream with live entertainment at night, and the City Hall metro station (useful in getting around but also the meeting spot for our DMZ tour). The Seoul City bus tour (hop on hop off) and the airport limousine bus both depart from right outside the hotel. The area is especially interesting on Saturdays when the street welcomes more protesters. Many varied causes, passionate individuals and groups, but very orderly. The police are present and watchful. A fascinating side of the culture not evident during the work week. We also made use of the helpful concierge and a wine store in the lobby. The hotel offers access to a good fitness facility on site and a convenience store is right next door.
