Location was perfect. Directly In front of a metro station that is on a perfect line (green line and goes through most touristic places) and it’s located next to Myeongdong which is perfect for night market and shopping and as well the hotel is directly connected to Lotte Mall which was very convenient. We had an issue with our airport transport on the first day and our luggage were dropped at the wrong hotel, we didn’t even need to communicate with the chauffeur company, the hotel took care of it and it arrived in minutes.

We had issues with the AC as we love our rooms to be cold and the elevators would take time sometimes especially during rush hours.

We were upgraded to a suite because of birthday, which was very nice and we appreciate very much. All the staff we encountered were professional and helpful. The location was perfect for shopping, dining and sightseeing in Myeongdong area.

The room furniture and bathroom design were quite old and rather depressing. Like so many other comments about the old furniture, it time for refurbishment like 5 years ago. We were rather disappointed by this and for the price we paid and room and design being so old, we would most likely stay at another hotel within the area next trip to Seoul. There are so many hotels within the area with better/newer rooms and price. The lack of seatings in the lobby, we had to wait for our room to be ready and everyday for our driver in the lobby but lack of seating.

The location, cleanliness and attention to details. I haven’t called and requested anything and was delayed. Everything on point and the lounge restaurant has good coffee and menu as well. Ther is an escalator to the mall which is one of the luxurious is the city. A lot of unique and international brands and we had a good shopping experience.

There is no seating area in the executive lobby hall. So I would have to stand up waiting for my uber to arrive.

I stayed at one of the Lotte Hotel chain locations near Myeongdong in February 2025. Arriving late at night, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff in a grand lobby, which made for a great first impression. However, the room was small, and the low ceilings in both the hallway and room made the space feel cramped. What truly made this stay memorable was the exceptional staff. Young, enthusiastic, and genuinely kind, they went above and beyond, especially in assisting our senior member with thoughtful care. Their attentiveness and warmth made all the difference. While the hotel’s facilities fell short of expectations, the staff’s hospitality more than made up for it. Their professionalism and kindness transformed an otherwise average stay into something special, earning this hotel a full 5-star rating.

The room size.

The location was a perfect distance to all our visit sights. The subway entrance is a short distance to the hotel and it was so easy getting to other location. The room was amazing. I loved everything about the room we stayed. The bathroom, the view, and the modern look of our room is amazing. Even in the staff was kind and the service is an A++. When I visit South Korea again, I will be staying here again.

There is a food court and a grocery in the lower level of the hotel. I wish they were open earlier than their usual time but I love their food court and the grocery was easy to go to when we needed a snack.

I came back a week later and really appreciated that they kept my luggage in storage for us. They kindly upgraded our room again which really worked out as after having the upgraded room during first stay, it would have been sad to have a smaller room for our second stay. *Please read my first review for all my highlights

I felt the service during my second stay wasn't as great as my first stay. During check in I think there was a difficult customer which affected their mood, understandably, but it did feel like we were an afterthought, we even had to drag our own suitcase compared to the room. We don't mind doing this but they did help us during our first visit. The housekeeping team were great and really friendly - I don't know if it was because we came back to the room throughout the day so we may have disrupted their schedule. But just surprised the room wasn't cleaned before us coming back around 2pm the first time.

The lobby is very grandiose, and staff are nice. Location is very central. The pool and sauna facilities are good (although sauna use is not complementary, it costs ~£24). The gym looks nice too (I didn’t use it).

The finishing of the room is no where near a 5 star hotel, 4 stars at most, or perhaps even less. All of the electronic plugs in our room needed repair, 2 didn’t work at all. The leather of the armchair is peeling off, and the carpet looks dated/not very clean.

I absolutely love everything about this home away from home. Lotte Hotel Seoul is my absolute favorite hotel with so many amenities under one roof. The house keeping staff is impeccable and even thoughtful enough to put additional anti-slip pads next to each side of the bed so guests don't slip! That's exactly what happened to my elderly mother at another hotel and she wound up in the ER. Can't say enough how much I appreciate those details from Lotte. I would live at this hotel if I could!!!

Location!!

We loved the room, particularly the bathroom as well as the location. Everything was easy to get to and back from.

The option to have our own food at the hotel. As the hotel food is expensive it meant having to go out for every meal which was not always ideal for a week long stay.
