We stayed in the quadruple room. The four of us found we had enough space for us, our shoes and luggage (2 suitcases and 2 large backpacks). The room was well equipped, and we had access to towels, laundry, the kitchen and rooftop. Bedding was comfortable and light which is great for the summer. We had a spray and device to fight mosquitoes away, but we never encountered any. The location was great, very nice area and close to two great subway stations (Anguk is about a minute away). Really nice restaurants and cafes nearby, and the palaces are just a short walk away. Kim was very kind and helpful throughout our stay, and there were often other guests present in the communal areas at the hostel. It was very homely and we would definitely stay again, we had a great time in Korea. You can’t beat it for the price, and the cat is very cute.

We saw a big cockroach in the bathroom on our first morning, but we closed the bathroom door and it found its own way out. We covered the drains after that, and never saw it again.

This is a great option right in the middle of Insadong. There were plenty of restaurants, convenient stores, and local attractions within walking distance. The train station and airport bus stop are a 3 minute walk away. The area also felt really safe. I stayed in a private bedroom, and everything was as pictured. The room wasn't big but would be enough space for a solo traveler, couple, or parent with a child. It had a small fridge, ac, and tv. Note I didn't use the ac or TV. The bathroom had a wc, sink, and shower (no separate shower space). Basic toiletries and towels were provided. Breakfast is included and is self-serve eggs, bread, juice, tea, coffee, fruit, and assorted veggies. The host is really nice and is usually available to answer questions. Great value and great location.

The hostel has a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. I especially appreciated the generous breakfast – there were eggs, toast, muesli, and even sweet potatoes during my stay, plus juice and coffee. Mr. Kim, the owner, is incredibly kind and hospitable, which made a big difference. The rooftop terrace is absolutely lovely, a great place to relax. And the location is truly unbeatable – it doesn’t get better than this!

The furnishings and overall interior are a bit dated, so you should be aware of that. The rooms are also on the smaller side. However, considering the very affordable price, I think it’s a fair trade-off.

Location, staff and facilities. Excellent location for artists. So close to lot of attractions, metro and airport shuttle bus station, great restaurants, galleries, souvenir shops all around. Very nice and friendly staff with everything you need such as an iron, weighing scale, just literally every little thing a person might need. That's why it felt really comfortable like home. Free breakfast was great 😃👍 and the cute cat 😺😁 Great value for the price

Was a bit old, messy and not as clean as someone would want but I don't care anymore because for what we paid, it was more than enough and we enjoyed our stay.

Location was amazing! It’s right next to Insadong Culture Street. There were so many restaurants to choose from and there were two GS25 convenience stores nearby. It’s 2 mins walking distance from Anguk Station Exit 6 and 5 mins walk from the Anguk Station Airport Bus Stop so you get the idea how convenient it was to take the subway and how convenient it was to arrive from Incheon Airport. We topped up our T-money only once and never had to use it because the hostel location was so central that we walked everywhere! Our room was a bit small but it was not an issue cause we made the most out of it. The toilet was clean and the water pressure of the shower was great! Breakfast was not included in the rate but was generously provided by the hostel. There were juices, tea, coffee, toast, different kind of spreads for the toast, noodles and eggs. There was free laundry service on the rooftop. The owner was very friendly and always said hello when he saw us. Even when we left, he walked to the front door with us, guided us where to go and said goodbye to us. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Insadong Hotel :)

- Incredible staff - Excellent location - Nice warm rooms - Safety boxes - Breakfast included with coffee and tea - also instant noodles! - Rooftop terrace - Yuni the cat! The property is managed by a lovely innkeeper, Mr.Kim, with a sweet cat, Yuni! I felt safe and welcome the moment I arrived. Mr.Kim makes you feel right at home in the centre of Seoul. Three minutes' walk from Anguk station, surrounded by restaurants just down Insadong street and small, unique boutiques nearby, the location is great as well. Definitely returning here in the future.

- Mattresses a bit hard - Top bunks have no curtains - Only one Yuni the cat! The mattress felt a bit hard at first and I was surprised that the top bunks have no curtains, but it wasn't too bad at all.

The location is amazing. A short walk away from major tourist attractions and all the basic and essentials are only a minute or two away from the hostel. Room was clean and tidy and provided essentials. The owner of the hostel is very helpful and friendly as well. The outdoor area on the roof and the free breakfast is a plus.

This wasn’t a problem for us but keep in mind that this is a hostel so rooms are quite small and there may not be room to store big luggage. People in previous reviews complained of noise however we did not have any problems with noise or soundproofing.

Great location right in Insadong too! Very safe since I was walking back around midnight and didn't feel uncomfy. The room had a great view. My train from Busan arrived at midnight, and it took a lot of stress off when the owner gave instructions to get to my room. The owner was very kind and easy to communicate with in English. I wish I spent more time there since there was a nice view on the rooftop and a hammock! Definitely will have to come back. They also had a universal charger in the room! I didn't see that anywhere else I went, very thoughtful.

I guess I didn't read the description clearly since it was cash only. It was also a bit tricky to find an ATM since it took 3 ATMs until I found one working. Other than that, there were a few noticeable stains on the sheets. It is quite small too but if you organize yourself, it is quiet pleasant.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel! The hosts were incredibly nice and supportive, always ready to help with any questions. The location is unbeatable—just a 2-3 minute walk to Anguk Station, which is also a stop for the airport bus, making arrivals and departures super convenient. There’s a convenience store nearby, and Insadong Street, with its shops and restaurants, is just steps away. Many main attractions are within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city on foot. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning, which was a perfect start to the day. Everything was wonderful, and I highly recommend staying!

Incredible location- walking distance to all the main sights, in a cute traditional neighborhood, right off a major bus stop and metro station (whose line connects direct to the Express Bus Terminal); the owner is really nice & there is a cute cat! Also, a nice rooftop to chill on & free use of the washing machine. Plus, it was the only hostel dorm I ever stayed in that had its own mini-fridge.

It’s a small property so rooms & common spaces might be a bit cramped; but for this location, price and overall quality, you can’t beat it
