The room, clean, spacious, everyday water, cleaning, towels (all sizes)changed, spacious in my opinion, air conditioning working; drip coffee, tea. The positioning: walking distance to all big palaces, close to 2 tube/metro stations. 7eleven in front of the hotel, near a Paris Baguette, Onion Cafe Anguk and Buchon Village. On top of everything, they kept my luggage for 3 days, whilst I went to Busan( free of charge, part of their policy I think). So happy with my choice. Thanks everyone at Ibis.

There's nothing. My experience was 10 out of 10.

The room was comfortable, especially the bed. Crisp clean linen. It was nice to see a hotel that actually did what it says about replacing towels. Many hotels say that they are eco friendly but still replace towels very day. Staff were very friendly and helpful- especially James who helped me with taxis. Breakfast was very good with a good mix of asian and western dishes which varied daily. Location was fabulous- 12 mins to Cheongdeokgung and about 25 mins walk to Geogbeokgung Palaces. Even closer to Jongmo Shrine. Location also has you in heart of the food area around Insadong- so plenty of cuisines to choose from. It was also a short walk to Insadong Street- for shopping. Hotel is popular with tour groups.

The air conditioning system is not efficient. A little noisy at night and temperature adjustment was not possible. The room remained at 25 degrees C the whole trip. For me, that is fine but for some perhaps not. The issue did not seemed confined to my room as many rooms had windows open for air to get in. Note that the windows do not have safety locks so there may be an issue with people traveling with young children. Room was also a little dark during the day and I would recommend that people request a room facing the front. Bathroom was a little pokey (small shower) and so if you are a little larger than some, the shower will be quite small. Water was hot however.

The location of the hotel was phenomenal just a short walk to the main shopping street located west of the hotel. Immediately south is Ikseon-dong where there are so many cute cafes, restaurants, and shops. Plenty of night life if you are looking for high energy pochas, but the hotel is far enough away to not deal with that noise if you're trying to rest.

Great location. 10 minute walk from airport limousine. Right in insadong area with loads of cafe and food options. 5 minutes from the subway. 25 minutes from Myeondong. Hotel was lovely. Rooms spacious. Beds made and fresh towels everyday. Hotel staff welcoming

The location was perfect. Right across the road from the gorgeous Ikeson-dong hanok village, with so many small and winding paths, cafes, restaurants, and little shops. We walked everywhere from the hotel, including the spectacular Gyeongbokgung Palace. The hotel was spotless. The rooms are the perfect size with comfortable beds. It's probably the best 3* hotel I've ever stayed in, and great value for money. The view from the roof terrace is beautiful at night. Checking in and out was quick and easy. It was about 30 degrees when we were there in July, and so the blast of AC in reception was always very welcome upon our return :)

Fantastic location, across the road from a 7-Eleven and Ikseon-Dong Hanok village, which has so many beautiful bakeries. Provided a baby crib for my son, and the hotel was in good walking distance for some tourist spots and with great bus/subway links nearby. The rooftop seating was fantastic in the evenings. Microwave and filtered cold/hot water available for free too!

Only gripe was I requested a room with a view of Namsan Tower, but upon arrival the air-con in the room didn’t work so was moved to a different room without a view. Not a big deal and staff were very helpful in moving room!

The staff was very polite and try to communicate as efficient as possible. I contacted before booking with some questions via booking chat and they replied fast and very helpful. The room was good: clean and overall comfortable. I use a wheelchair to move around, the shower is easy to access with a considerable space for the wheelchair. There is a fixed shower chair, it was useful for me but I don't think many people can use it since has not hand bars, it is small and the hand shower is far. It was the only hotel that specifically request my opinion for improvement.

The location is not the best. The "universal" room needs improvement: the carpet is very think so difficult to push around (it would be better to take off at all), the washbasin is not accessible since you cannot roll under and the shower itself is not very secure for people with disabilities. The bed in the universal room is next to the door so it is a bit noisy. The roof top wasn't accessible for wheelchair users.

This hotel is at Insadong and located right in the heart. This means that you are just walking distance from some amazing korean food and palaces. The nearest station is Jongno, which is well connected with Myeongdong, Iteawon and all the major places. It's easy to follow the route using Naver maps. The main palaces are all nearby making this a wholesome experience. As a female solo traveller, I walked around at 11 and felt completely safe ( this is me, use your discretion) The staff speaks English and can guide you around. If you book your tickets with Klook then the pickups can happen ftom the hotel. The rooms are small but well equipped! Don't forget to bring a 3 pin charger. I highly recommend this stay for first time travellers. Even if you find it a bit expensive, it will save you a lot of money on transport and save time as all attractions are nearby.

It was lovely.

This was my third time at Ibis Ambassador Insadong and I’ll keep coming back! The location and rooftop terrace can’t be beaten, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the facilities provide everything I need. I very much enjoyed the updated design as well as the new smart TVs.

I would love access to a microwave on every floor as carrying heated food or beverages to another floor is a bit stressful, but that is only a very minor inconvenience.
