The location was perfect for us as it is very near the ferry port from Morocco which made it easy for us to find. The property was modern and well appointed, very comfortable rooms and lovely bathroom. We loved that we could open the window for fresh air and watched the NYE fireworks from our window. The secure basement parking for our motorbikes was an added bonus.

The restaurant was closed over the Christmas and New Year period which left us without an option for dinner on NYE. We arrived to find that there weren't any restaurants around, the local supermarket had closed too although we arrived at 7pm. The sole employee on reception was very helpful however we didn't have any dinner that night. Might have been good for the hotel to offer some sort of option there.

The rooms are comfortable, not large, but enough space with a large closet for your luggage. Everything is very clean. The shower and bathroom are nicely designed. Wifi is good. It's a 10 minute walk to the bus to reach Gibraltar, but otherwise there's not much to see and do in the neighbourhood. Parking is great in a secure building across the street. There is a small fridge but it would be nice to have a coffee maker. The reception speaks English which is helpful.

It was quiet except that on one night we could hear loud talking/singing in the room next to us. We expected that a Marriott has better insulation between the rooms.

The hotel is situated in a nice part of the town and despite the fact that it is next to the very busy street a guest cannot hear any noise from the outside. The hotel has a lot of different facilities and the breakfast is really good! The hotel also offers a dinner which is a plus having in mind that Algeciras is rather small town.

I mixed up this hotel with the Mercury hotel, bendigo because they share the building. The signs in the building and the street should be better. Also, the underground garage should be clearly marked already in the street, so no one mixes it up on arrival. Afterwards, the staff just explain you how it works and it's super easy.

Breakfast was alright. I didn't care for the coffee taste maybe it was the pods or the machine? Staff was nice. Staff at the front desk was excellent, both of them; pleasant, helpful, responsive to requests, very welcoming. Bed was really comfortable and I appreciated different pillows in term of firmness. Evening diner menu so so. I like having an actual bar of soap at the sink. The shower gel provided doesn't rince well, so I got my own bar of soap.

I couldn't use the air conditioner because it smelled strongly of mold. Therefore my room was quite hot and did not cool off until late at night. Made it difficult to sleep.

The rooms are well equipped and if there is something you need the staff at the reception is more than helpful. There is also a parking place included in the price which comes in handy if you are travelling by car. The hotel also offers breakfast and dinner options. It's good value for money and it's also a good place to take a break if you are visiting Gibraltar or nearby cities.

On our short stay (1 night) we could not find anything wrong with the accommodation.

Rafael at reception was very helpful on our arrival. He helped with printing some important documents for us, locating a laundromat and finding somewhere for dinner. The hotel was located close to the ferry we needed to catch the next morning. The room was clean and spacious, and basic toiletries were provided. Breakfast was excellent as I am vegetarian and there were enough options for me there.

None of the hotels seem to have facilities for making a cup of tea. When you arrive tired and cold, it would be an excellent welcome.

Their beds are the most comfortable we have found traveling through France, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. The room is fairly spacious, has a good view and a window that can be opened. The bathroom has a tub and shower and comes with body wash, shampoo and conditioner with large-print labels readable even with your glasses off. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Parking is in a secure deck next door to the hotel. There is short-term parking in the street out front for unloading and checking.

We reserved a standard room. We were really lucky to get a room on the 7th floor. The room itself was not large, but the sunny terrace was a great bonus and I would say it was the same size as the room. You could sunbathe during the morning or enjoy the warm summernight outside with a great view.

This modern, clean hotel was ideal for our stop over while we visited Gibraltar as part of a larger trip around Andalucia. We were given a friendly greeting by the staff and welcomed by a beautifully smelling lobby. Parking was explained and easy to access with dedicated bays for hotel residents. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a well stocked bathroom. Breakfast was very good, a largely cold continental buffet of excellent quality.

For us, the location of the hotel in Algeciras was good for visiting Gibraltar for a day trip (we stopped at the hotel on the night before and night after). The area around the hotel did have a rather unpleasant smell - perhaps a result of the docks and industry nearby and it was a good 20 minute walk to reach the main square where some bars could be found.

I booked AC Marriott Algeciras as a stopover hotel for the ferry from Algeciras to Tanger Med. Due to a pre-booking, the price-performance ratio was very good. The hotel is very conveniently located for onward travel by ferry, the ferry port is just under 6 km away. If you are traveling by car, you can park in the hotel's underground car park, if necessary; a restaurant is also part of the house. My room was clean, big enough and the furnishings corresponded to the standard. Although the hotel is located directly on a very large roundabout, it is perfectly insulated and you would only hear noises with the windows open.The team at the reception was nice and helpful. I would book the AC Marriott again.
