Not so well prepared staff in the check-in by messing up the payments for the hotel tax, also got a delayed room for about 1 hour. At the check-out the middle-aged lady was a bit rude with the manners, instead of asking for the card to reabilitate it (i was just 5 minutes over the check out, considering the delay in the check-in it was not necessary to disabilitate the room so fast), she pretended i could read her thoughts and she was like a bit pissed i didn't give her the card quick (she has to realize not everyone works in an hotel, so probably i couldn't know what to do in those situations, maybe the best stuff to do was just asking me in a clear way what she wanted lol)

We stayed in Barcelona for one week and this hotel perfectly fit our needs. Juan checked us in upon arrival and gave us some great suggestions. He was very helpful throughout our stay. The kitchenette had a mini fridge, 2 burner cooktop, electric kettle, microwave, basic dishes/utensils, and dish soap. We requested a toaster and a coffee pot (got a moka pot). Making our breakfast each morning saved us a lot of time and money. It was a great option for a couple.

The bathroom walls are frosted glass. They do not provide much privacy. It was ok for us, but might not be great for a friends trip.

The room always smelled so good after they cleaned. The location was nice, right near a late night bar and across the street from an awesome coffee shop. Very walkable location to the other parts of the city as well. Felt like a safe location, even late at night. I would visit again.

The booking at the front desk did not match what I booked through booking.com so it ended up costing me a bit extra. Also, I should have known, but they didn't make it clear that we would be charged for drinking the water out of the minibar. In Paris, they had little notes that made that abundantly clear to inexperienced Americans like myself. Not a huge deal, but extra expenses nonetheless.

Our room was beautiful, extremely clean and very comfortable. As a matter of fact all the premises is extremely clean and the smell that greets you is so welcoming. Staff go out of their way to help you, are very professional and polite, whilst at the same time very friendly. We definitely highly recommend Ako Suites and would certainly return here when we decide to visit Barcelona again.

The only thing that we didn't like was the lack of a real window to change the air in the room. There is a small flap high up but for us it was not enough. Otherwise all the rest was perfect.

Good location. Reasonably close to 2 Metro stations. Restaurants and bars nearby. Clean, with daily housekeeping and towel changes. Spacious, with a large bathroom and a good shower. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Additional services were available (e.g., laundry, breakfast, etc.), but I did not use them. My only complaint is that there were no windows that could be opened, only a ventilation system, so the air felt a bit stale.

The room was perfect for us. It was large, very spacious and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette was well equipped for what we needed. The only niggle we had was the lift door occasionally got stuck on the 6th floor, we just went to the 7th floor and came down the stairs, but it didn’t affect our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed and it was great they did luggage storage so we could enjoy our last day after checking out before our late flight without worrying about our bags. Would highly recommend this hotel, the location is perfect for walking to some of the main attractions, the metro and buses are within a short distance, there is a supermarket round the corner and plenty of restaurants nearby.

It’s very difficult to drop off luggage if one has a lot of it to deal with as one must park in the busy street outside and block up the lane before driving the car to the parking garage in another street. There is no toaster in the room. It would be great if the pool remained open for another hour or two!

Location of this hotel is excellent. Close to metro from airport. 30 mins walk to harbour (we were there for America's Cup), 40 mins to Segrada Familia. District felt safe at night. Lots of very close eating - max 10 mins walk in evening and we ate Catalan x 2, Vietnamese, Korean and Italian. Apartment was spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable. Our apartment at back of hotel was noiseless. Aircon and ventilation excellent. The street Carrer de Consell de Cent one block behind hotel is pedestrianised and a lovely walk at night with busy street / cafe / restaurant culture. Roof top lounging space and plunge pool also good. There's an Aldi round the corner for food stuffs etc for eating in - just breakfast for us.

We could have done with a little more supplies in Kitchen - eg washing up liquid!
