This was exactly what we had hoped for. Chose this hotel for the great location and the reviews mentioning the great staff and we weren't disappointed! All the staff on reception were excellent. Frederico greeted us on arrival and truly went above and beyond to help orient us, recommend places to eat/visit and how to get there. On our first evening we tried his recommendation of Ciutat Comtal for a tapas dinner (less than 10 mins from hotel) - and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel location allowed us to arrive easily and cheaply from the airport by the A2 airport bus (bus stop just 2 mins away from hotel). We then spent 2 days exploring Barcelona on foot, by bus, and by metro directly from the hotel. Love this city and loved this hotel! Didn't try the breakfasts as we grabbed coffee and croissant from nearby cafes on our way out. Didn't try the pool as weather wasn't great when we were there in October. Would absolutely go back. Thanks to the staff!

I read reviews about all the funny buttons in the room which were hard to work out because there are no signs to explain what they are for - this was helpful as it meant I tried them all and worked them out before I was too exhausted and ready for bed! Also read other reviews mentioning it is v dark in the rooms - it was, but it was ok if you can work out how to turn all the lights on! No fancy TV channels as far as I could tell but I enjoyed watching the Spanish news and testing out my duolingo skills :-)

Nice area, close to many cafes and restaurants—10-20 minutes from most main attractions. Hotel was nice and modern. The room was dimly lit and a few lights were not working so it was hard to see in the dark. The employees were great and even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. However, one night we asked the front desk for ice and were told there was no ice because the restaurant was closed. A few hours later we asked another employee and he said of course we have ice! Two minutes later he brought it for us. The rooftop pool area is cool but the pool is small. The "lobby" or media room is actually downstairs from the entrance and is pretty cool just to chill. We paid almost $500 for 3 nights so it was ok for the value.

Some lights didn't work or were missing and the shower water always pooled on to the bathroom floor making it wet and slippery. The TV only had local channels, no streaming services like YouTube or Netflix.

Our room was not at the side of the street so we did not hear a lot at all. We slept very good every night. When you read other reviews a lot of people complain about how dark the hotel is but I found it very charming. They also complained about how weird it was to light the room, which was very odd to me because it was very clear how to use it. When all the lights were on you saw more than enough. The cleaning ladies were very friendly as well and the room was always very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly too. I absolutely had a great time in this hotel and I really can recommend it. The location is excellent!

There is not a single thing I can think of.

Staff were friendly and helpful when I had to change rooms.

First room stunk of sewage so had to change. Although a nice hotel it's now showing its age and needs a small attention to detail before going into disrepair.

Great location! 400M to various metro stops with access to the L1 and L2 lines and about 600-900M to the L3 and L4 lines. The rooftop pool was a great location to cool off from the hot weather in the day and they have a shaded patio area as well for relaxing next to the pool. There is an awesome breakfast/brunch spot at the nearest street corner called Belliny which is amazing. Across the street is a good filipino resturant cand about a 12 minute walk is a great street taco spot called Xuba.

Pillows were horrible. Super thin and provided minimal cushion and the areas that had stuffing were bunched up and lumpy. Made it hard for me to get good sleep each night. This is the only thing i dinged the hotel on going from a 10 to an 8.

Great location, close to metro and bus stations for easily connections to the main tourist attractions, great connection to the airport with A1 and A2 bus. Coffee bars, restaurants and markets near the hotel. Great staff. Big bonus for us was that we could leave our luggage after check out because we have late night flight and we walked around Barcelona, and just took the luggage on the way to the airport (there is also free space to seat while waiting to leave the hotel if you need, charge phones)

During the first night (only during the nigh) there was bad smelt in the room (like from sewerage). There were no slippers in the room although they were listed while booking. The light controls for the room were very confusing.

Fantastic location in L'Eixample neighborhood. Subway station Urgell is at the corner just across the street from hotel. Easy, great walk to Plaza Catalunya and to old town area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Great for LGBT visitors as well as several clubs/bars within a couple of blocks from the hotel. The staff was fantastic. Shout out to Alessio for making our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Breakfast was quite decent and comes with champagne!

Minor issues like unable to close or open outside blinds. It's at neutral position. Since they were installed outside the windows, there was a problem with fixing them. Also you have to search to figure out how to close the shutters in bathroom (they're electric). There's a small button on the wall by the sink that you press and that controls the shutter. Took me a while to figure that out. Otherwise, the place was fantastic, highly recommended and would stay there again.

Absolutely recommend this hotel, location is perfect with a metro station right outside and being situated in an extremely safe area with plenty of bars and restaurants. Location is definitely 10/10 with every famous landmark being accessible by foot, metro or bus. We booked a double room which overlooks the Main Street but it is soundproof making for a very comfortable sleep, we found that the room itself is very bright during the day and also has lighting which can be controlled from your bed. The air-con works extremely well and is very easy to control. The rooftop pool is small but extremely clean and a perfect spot to cool down during the day as well as the terrace having plenty of seats to relax. My room was spotless and the bathroom was very clean and modern, below the sink is buttons to control the glass window to provide you privacy when using the bathroom if wanted! All the hotel reception staff were friendly and very helpful by providing my friend and I a map of the city with recommendations. If I return to Barcelona, I will be staying here again!!!!!!

I can’t think of anything!!

We were lucky enough to be accommodated at Hotel Soho, and we have to say it was an experience we will never forget! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with smiles and a genuine spirit of hospitality from the reception staff. The check-in was smooth, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had whatever we needed. They gave us wonderful suggestions for area attractions, double-checked that our room was set up exactly how we wanted it, and were always there to help with whatever we needed. The hotel itself was spotless, tastefully furnished, and had the warm, homey feel we needed. Our room was spacious, immaculately maintained, and featured all the modern amenities we could have possibly hoped for. Huge thank you to the great reception team who made our stay so wonderful. They are highly professional, always welcoming, and full of care—it shows just how exceptional this hotel really is. We shall return and definitely recommend the Hotel Soho to anyone for an excellent stay!

I’ve stayed in many different hotels as a solo traveller and this is one of the best I’ve stayed in. The staff are incredible. Thank you so much to Frederico who really went out of his way to assist me with planning my journeys, and gave me some lovely recommendations for breakfast and tapas - both of which were amazing. The location is unbeatable there is a 24 hour supermarket next door to the hotel. A short 15-20 minute walk to Gothic Quarter, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila etc., and a simple metro journey to the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. I took a taxi back from Park Guell to the hotel and it was only 9 euros. As a solo traveller I felt extremely safe at this hotel, the safest I’ve ever felt in any of the hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms are modern and lovely and cleaned every day with fresh bed sheets and fresh towels. I’ve seen some reviews that say the lighting is dark in the rooms but I did not struggle with any lighting issues (and I am a girl who loves doing make up and hair!) The bathroom has a very bright light and I found the room lighting absolutely fine. I’ve also seen some reviews that say the street is loud but I didn’t feel like this disturbed me in fact I slept very well at the hotel all 3 nights. At the end of the day you are in the middle of the city on the main Gran Via street so there’s bound to be some noise. Thank you to Hotel Soho for giving me a great experience! I will be re-booking when I come back to Barcelona :-)

There wasn’t one thing I disliked about this hotel.
