The staff and the location of the hotel were superb. Every sightseeing landmark in Barcelona was a couple of minutes away on foot from the hotel. The hotel can be found a 9-minute walk from the Plaza Catalunya metro station/Aerobus airport shuttle stop.

Unfortunately, the breakfast that was included in the hotel price was served at the next-door cafe. I got a voucher I needed to present at the cafe counter and I only could choose from the following : (freshly pressed orange juice, cappuccino/latte/cafe americano, a half portion of a sandwich (ham and cheese, sausage, tuna etc.), butter croissant. I would have liked a continental breakfast with a wider variety of foods (i.e. vegetables, fruits, hot sausage, fried eggs, yogurt etc.). The hotel is actually a guest house with the name Hotel Amato, so if you're looking for it on the Google Map you will find it as Hotel Amato, not as Hotel Iznajar.

The location of the hotel was very ideal, as it was in the center of the city. Around the hotel, you will find a lot of restaurants and stores. Furthermore, I really liked their service because we were well accomodated and the staff are nice and polite.

The hotel is really old and doesn't look like it is maintained in the common areas. Although you can expect this from a 1-star budget hotel.

Decent room with a clean bathroom and wardrobe space. The chair and desk was a nice touch as well.

The aircon seemingly only had 1 setting and was quite strong. It was a hot day 39C so it was great to have an aircon but having on full blast aimed at the bed with no option to adjust the settings wasn't great

Big room. Very spacious. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of nearby restaurants and stores.

Shower water gets all over the floor. Maybe they should use shower curtains instead of the glass partitions that didn't block the water. We had to use all of the towels every night to dry the floor.

Great location, staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and air conditioned, free toiletries and water. Breakfast, served in the cafe next door, was nice, a filed bread roll, croissant, cup of coffee and orange juice.

Room was small but OK for 1 night and goid value for the money we paid.

I travel a lot on my own and the room was quite spacious for a single room. The room was clean and of a good standard. I loved the real cotton sheets! It also had air conditioning.

The hotel is covered with tiles on the floor and bare walls this tends to make the corridors echo a lot as there is nothing to absorb the sounds. People returning late at night were often banging doors which made a lot of noise and one night in the early hours of the morning there was on an American gentleman on call or zoom call for several hours who I could hear every word as he was speaking very loudly and the noise just reverberated along the corridor even though he was in his room. If you are a light sleeper I don't think this is the hotel for you.

It was looking Just as pictured, in the very heart of the city. It was easy to make quick stops during my daily expeditions.

The shampoo/shower gel was in one use packages.

The staff was really friendly and flexible. We could check in earlier, because my daughter felt sick after travelling. The last day we had to leave before 7, but we got the breakfast for take away. The room was clean and well-equipped. The location is exellent.

The room was a bit dark, and last night the neighbours were too loud.

Fantastic location friendly staff basic room but had everything we needed. Good breakfast included at cafe next door. Highly recommended

It's central location was the reason we chose it. It also had a high quality cafe and pizzeria next door and also a wine bar right across on the corner. You could sit out in the evening on the square and have a slice of pizza and a glass of wine. Reception was always maned and staff were very welcoming and helpful. They also had a very well trained cleaning team. Air conditioning in bed room thanks be to goodness, couldn't have done without. All in all just what we needed.
