Really nice hotel, we had a suite, very big and confortable

Some of the furniture is old. Services are not quite 5 star- you can only change beach towels from 16.30 to 17.30, which is really inconvenient. When i asked at the reception to change, they were were quite rude and unhelpful. Also, they do not provide coffee pods after the first day. When you pay 5keur for a hotel, it is annoying that then you are charged again a few euros for coffee pods…

The air conditioning didn’t work for the first three days. On the second night, we called the reception, and they said a technician would come, but no one showed up. After 20 minutes, we called again and spoke to another receptionist who explained how to turn it on—something we had already tried. Frustrated, we gave up and went to bed. The next day, we asked again at the reception, and it was finally fixed later that day, which we appreciated.

I can summarise my review of the Hipocampo Palace Hotel in 2 words 'Total Excellence' - The location close to the beach with nearby bars and restaurants was excellent. The hotel room was comfortable, immaculate, spacious and well appointed with good sound insulation – no disturbing noises from adjacent rooms – quiet closing mechanisms on room doors. The staff (all - from front desk, housekeeping, restaurants and bars) were courteous, friendly and very helpful. Most seemed fluent in 3-4 languages. The buffet breakfasts and dinners were amazing - huge variety and all tastes catered for. Any return trip to Majorca will most definitely incorporate a stay at this hotel.

What could have been better - a longer stay!!

The FOOD!! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food, which turned out to be one of the best gastronomic experiences we've had at a half-board hotel. The staff were consistently helpful, with a special mention to Maria at the reception for her exceptional service. The dinner service was outstanding, and all areas of the hotel were impeccably maintained and clean. The evening entertainment program was delightful, and the gala dinner on Fridays was a highlight. Traveling with our 3-year-old, we found the hotel to be very child-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, there was ample free parking available on the street.

While the outdoor swimming pool was a bit cold in mid-October and might be more enjoyable if heated, it didn't detract from our overall experience. Some areas of the hotel, such as the indoor swimming pool, were slightly outdated, and there were minor issues like chipped furniture corners. However, these did not spoil our holiday, as the hotel was very well managed and addressed any concerns promptly.

Preferred treatment for repeat visitors during dinner time by getting the best tables outside and new visitors only being seated at the entrance door inside. There should not be any reservation for buffet dinner at all and if you have pls make sure EVERY guest has the same chance to sit on the terrace! We are all paying customers and not dining for free!

Enjoyable stay at this hotel. Stayed here for first time based on previous stays with Hipotel on Spanish mainland and wasn't disappointed - nice place to stay. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, very pleasant and efficient staff, very good pools and shady garden areas to relax in. Easy 5 mins walk to beach area. Hotel was main reason we ventured across to Cala Millor!

Nothing to complain about really. (For info and not really evident from description/info - the outdoor pool is located in a pleasant garden area on the opposite side of the road from the main hotel block and accessible via an interconnecting tunnel and our balcony faced this road. Not really an issue in any way but was bit of a surprise.)

Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Staff are courteous and helpful. The whole place is spotless.

Children were playing in the spa pool. Despite spa policy clearly states that nudity is prohibited, many guests still use the sauna nude. Steam room has been out of order for the entire duration of our stay; according to previous comments, it seems to have been out of order for months... Gym can be a bit bigger and have more equipment. The spin bike in the small gym needs to be replaced.

On the day of departure a huge cockroach ran out of the bathroom, I killed it with a slipper and left it on the table. It was scary and unpleasant. Starting from the 3rd day of living in the toilet after cleaning there was always an unpleasant smell. Perhaps there was a dirty floor rag. I was given a robe size XXL, with my height of 160 cm and size XS:)

The food generally was excellent particularly the first night on Friday. There was a complimentary drink for us as we entered the restaurant on Friday aswell, The spa facilities were lovely and it was very relaxing break. Also have to mention the Motown singer on Friday night was superb.

The only thing was on Saturday there were alot more people and I felt a bit harassed in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast the next morning. It didn't feel there was quite enough staff for the volume of people. But the people who were working were extremely polite and worked very hard.

Hotel is obviously used by travel agencies from Germany, so individual traveler might be a little stranger here :) However, if you speak at least little german, you feel like at home, even speaking in castellano to staff gives you response in german :) Place is spacious, parking, storage room, poll and other is good, in Spain it deserves 5*. Our stay was off season in February, looks like this is one of very few hotels open. We had half board and I must say the food is great, actually one of the best I've seen in a hotel. Except scrambled eggs, those vere cooked to death every day :) It is funny, because if the head chef can make all the food very good, it is not so hard to check on the cook who kills the eggs, right? ;) On the other hand, there is cooking station where you can have made like sunny side up eggs.

Overall, 8 out of 10. To make it ten, the scrambled eggs mentioned above and the bed! Omg, this was like the worst ever. Very good is, if the management of the hotel sleeps like 1 or 2 times a month in random hotel rooms, you'll see for yourself. You'll find out that in rooms at first floor (numbers 110X) the music production from below is very loud (yes, it terminates at 22-ish, but if you want to relax at nine . . . ). And I guarantee that you'll be ordering new matresses for hotel after first night.
