Hotel Very clean. Food of high standard especially English bacon at breakfast. Rooms cleaner each day to good standard. Plenty of sunbeds up to around 10:30 not having to queue for beds was a refreshing change and they were comfortable. Evening entertainment for adults was lacking and no evening activities advertised that we saw of. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. We had a problem with the first room but it was changed no problem at all. No wine glasses in the room if you just fancied chilling in the room. Would definately return but would like to see changes to themed restaurants included with or without small supplement.

The themed restaurants charging you full price twice when you already paid half board option. We have stayed at many 4/5* hotels and have never come across this before. We expected to either have the restaurants included on a booking system or pay a supplement of around 15-20 euros PP which is the standard. No bottled water in the room. We asked for this in day 2 and were told by customer services that it would be sorted but it still never happened. 20 euros reservation of towels even though refundable per person we felt was to much when you are a hotel guest to pay upfront.

We spent one week in january at Barceló and it was great choice. We travel a lot around the island so we appreciate the location of the hotel. It was very good start position to make the trips around the Lanzarote. We liked the breakfast and food in Olivina buffet very much - the food was delicious with lots of options to have really good, healthy and tasty start for the day. We stayed in junior suite and the space of rooms was generous. We loved olympic pool and generally the sporty atmosphere in Barceló is very motivational.

Great food, great room, great staff, plenty for active people to do.

I booked this as a sea front property expecting to be able to walk from the hotel into local amenities. I should have checked - I was very disappointed. Nothing in the immediate area by the sea. Yes, we could see it, but no places to sit by the water and have a meal or drink or shop. Also it wasn’t clear on booking that the area nearest to the sea was exclusive. We could only really use one pool as the others were for children, or incurred additional cost. I don’t think advertising should talk about the use of six pools.

Only complaint was my coffee capsules were never replenished even when I left drawer open to show I had used them but I had brought my own coffee so wasn't a problem I'm sure if I had asked this would have been easily rectified as nothing was ever a problem with any of the staff - excellent service

Cleanliness Friendly staff

Inconsistent labelling of food in restaurant made it hard for appropriate gluten free selections to be made. Some clear and obvious errors and when raised the chef said 'the labelling has nothing to do with me'. Not good enough, sorry!

Location is great - even though it's kind of far from the popular beaches and other areas, I really enjoyed the seaview, the view of pool and palm trees and the fact that I could watch the sunrise from my bed. It was a nice experience - the view is exactly like in the pictures. Also delicious breakfast with lots of options - gotta love Spanish food <3

The only reason I rated 9 instead of 10 is because the rooms are unfortunately not soundproof - I could hear sounds from neighbours and from the hallway - that's kind of a bummer if you are looking for some quite time and it's up to good luck if you have decent neighbours or not. The soundproofing could really be improved!

The gym and classes were great. The room was quiet and had a nice view. The breakfast buffet catered for most people and the was a good variety. The shower in the room was also a positive and the pressure was consistent.

We got lunch on one day and the choices were limited and the chips were cold and the roll for the burger was solid, this is because it is pre-packed for ease/speed. We also ate in the buffet in one night, and there was not much to choose from if you don’t eat meat. Was glad we didn’t go all inclusive. The bed was too soft for my liking but appreciate that is personal preference.

Huge resort with great rooms, landscaping, incredible buffet, restaurants, pool, gym and staff. Great bike rental place next door.

It wasn’t as active as I expected (not like La Santa). There was an Olympic pool, but it was often busy and most lanes were booked by swim clubs. There was a small exercise class every hour, sometimes run by an instructor and sometimes by video. The town of Costa Teguise was a 40 min walk away. I would say the majority of guests were the burger and chips and sit by the pool brigade. It was great, just not as fitness orientated as I expected.

Lots of flies around the pool. Not all staff were friendly. Our flight was in the evening and we had to leave the room at 12:00, we asked in the evening for extra money for another room for a few hours, but they said it was too busy, although there were really not many people. we've been on the road for a long time, it's never been like this before.

I loved the breakfast - very spacious, so plenty of room for everyone and no cues were formed (I stayed there for a week) and if you did not come later, there was always plenty of vegan options + majority of foods are marked with allergens. The hotel looks younger and prettier for the first glance, but still a nice place to stay. There is much you can do in the resort with or without kids. The people working there were really nice. The gym was really nice. There is a route along the coast you can use for running. Loved the book corner where you can leave your and pick up books from others.

There were no relevant vegan options for lunch or dinner, so I did not select all inclusive. I paid for a Royal level which included many things I did not use - I did not understood that during the time of booking and I am not sure I knew I would pay as much. You could hear quite a lot from the other rooms. Very subjective: I did not like that when I inquired advice for travels, the stuff always pushed taxis and pre-paid trips and downplayed the options for a public transport or exploration alone.
