Hostal Rioja Condestable is absolutely perfect for a trip to Logrono. The hotel so brilliantly located for someone who wants to explore the city. About a two minute walk away is the supermarket, Calle Laurel is about a five minute walk, the square is the same. I was amazed how great the location was. I stayed for a week, and it was so cheap too, it really would be an incredibly good option for anyone visiting. I'm not sure you could find another hotel of this quality, at that price. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it was fine for me - I was there on my own - and I used to live in London so I'm used to small bedrooms! The hotel itself is great, your own room, bathroom, the most powerful shower ever, tv, comfy bed. I couldn't have wished for more. Mary was fabulous too, we didn't meet, but if I needed anything I just whatsapped her. I'm coming back with a few friends in the new year and will hopefully be able to stay here again. Really is a fantastic hotel/hostal.

Nothing, it was perfect. I genuinely can't think of anything I'd have changed. It was clean, quiet, comfy and when the week cost like 250 quid, how can you not like anything. Amazing place.

This is a room only hotel. Communication is through WhatsApp/email and access is all via key pad codes to enter and access room. The host is immediately responsive and helpful to any questions/problems and service is brilliant. The room was clean and bright with windows opening onto the street below. However it is peaceful at night and we slept in disturbed with window open. Shutters there if you want. Fantastic shower with endless hot water and pressure. Bedding, towels provided and rooms cleaned daily.

No fridge but TV and AC

This is a no frills hands off hostel. It’s a private room with en suite shower and toilet, fan, desk, two single beds. The water pressure was superb and the location within walking distance of the old part of town and Calle de Laurel. However this is a new 20th century residential area with neighbourhood restaurants and cafes. A self-service laundry is 5th so walk away. I personally liked the hands-off automated approach, though some may find the lack of visible staff disconcerting.

Everything is done via booking messaging or WhatsApp. The concierge made excellent suggestions and was very helpful but the hands off approach meant no stamp for my credential. Also, in the mini-heatwave the room was warm to sleep in, and soap not just gel shampoo would’ve been good.

Fantastic location and great communication from the owner's. Easy to check in without the need of doing this face-to-face. Room was lovely and warm and the accommodation was clean.

I wasn't able to get the shower head to stay secured.

You need WhatsAp to communicate with the staff, who are off site. They will email you your info if you don’t have it, but it takes a little longer. Not a big deal.

The hotel is in the middle of the city centre, close to all shops and entertainment, easy to reach, very clean, safe and comfortable

Brilliant location, 5 mins from station and bars. All communication with the staff was through whats app, this is very handy if like myself your Spanish isn’t the best.

Position and price.

You don't meet anybody at reception, and this can be difficult for somebody. All is managed through WhatsApp (even the code to open the bedroom's door. Noisy if neighbours are not respectful.

excellent location with plenty of help from our host beforehand. rooms are very well outfitted and easy access. Super clean and modern

The only down side was street construction which made for noise early in the morning.
