Our Stay Over many years we have holidayed in hotels in many different countries. And many more through work. However, over the last two years, two were in Es Mercadel, one of the many pearls found on the beautiful island of Menorca. This time we were extremely lucky to come across a new gem S’Estancia Suites. A base which is well located, central for the whole Island. Over our 17 days we experienced: A small great hotel , fantastic value for money: The management and team brilliant. The ambiance truly Menorcean. Room facilities excellent. Cleaning of rooms most unobtrusive. Cleanliness impeccable. Breakfast superb: varied daily: serving all local sourced products. Small clean pool great ambiance and well furnished. A great small team proved them selves to be: excellent/professional/ friendly/ efficient. Overall great environment with high standards. The decor of the hotel was modern and used natural products /materials. Much in keeping with the special ecological’Biospheric’ status of the island. In our opinion of all the hotels we visited best hotel experienced to date.

Everything was exceptional

Menorca offers a wide range of possibilities regarding hosting options, including all types of hotels and its locations. S'Estancia Suites is not an obvious choice, since it is a small hotel located in a city that is not the most touristic city of the island (Es Mercadal), but we are highly pleased with our stay. S'Estancia team goes far and beyond to make you feel at home and this small hotel offers comfortable and very well decorated suites with comfy beds and high quality linen, towels, etc... making the island experience relaxing and pleasant. They offer a nice breakfast with local products and the hotel also has a pool, that I must confess we did not enjoyed because we preferred going to the beaches. And here is something to take into account if you are planning to visit Menorca: the island is not that big, but you will enjoy the most if you have a car (there is a public parking in front of the hotel), and will be really convenient to rent a car while you are in the island, so you can visit different cities, beaches and other spots (do not miss the lighthouses). If you are planning to go to a hotel and to stay around it all your time, probably Es Mercadal is not the place for you. But if you are planning to know the island, to explore its cities and beaches and to return every day to a hotel that feels like home, you may consider to book S'Estancia. You will not regret! The team is fantastic. The tips they gave are precious... and you may borrow all you need to enjoy a sunny day at the beach (including beach chairs). And to be fair I have to say that although Es Mercadal is not a city with many touristic attractions, there are nice dining options and you do not have to leave the city to have nice tapas, pizzas or ice creams... the city center is very nice and have good options. We loved our stay... and recommend it to everyone who value its money!

Nothing... just checking out... would like to stay at least another week!

The hotel is new, modern and well maintained. The room was a good size, and it was nice to have the terrace looking onto the pool. Lots of choice in the breakfast buffet with different local specialities every day, and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Good location too - 5 minutes' walk to the centre of town, and opposite two big car parks, so always somewhere to leave the car.

The only thing that bothered us was that the bathroom is open plan with the bedroom. The toilet and shower doors open into the main room, the shower doesn't have hooks or shelves for towels and clothes, and the bathroom sink is an island facing into the room. As friends traveling together, we personally would have preferred to have the privacy of a separate bathroom.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in Es Mercadal and couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The staff's kindness and attentiveness made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The hotel's location, nestled in the heart of the island, is perfect for exploring all that the region has to offer. Es Mercadal itself is a charming and authentic village, offering a genuine taste of local culture. The variety of excellent restaurant options nearby made every meal a delight. Highly recommended for a memorable stay!

The place is new and stylish. We had the suite and it was stunning down to the smallest details. breakfast is fresh and delicious and the staff is amazing, so welcoming and helpful! The location is good if you want to explore the island cause it s quite central but it s not scenic.

I didn't expect it to be on a main road in front a parking lot, but if you come by car it s quite handy.

This is a beautiful hotel in the tranquil part of the island - Es Mercadal. The hotel is quiet, modern designed, and very functional. But what really matters is the staff which is super friendly and helpful and really takes care of you.

Nothing really, everything was just fine!.

Best location on island. Right opposite new town pool and gym complex. All suites brand new. All appear to have views and balconies. Have been to Menorca every year for 22 years, and always now stay in Es Mercadal, as can get to anywhere on the island. I swim every day, so go to different beach each day. If weather gets unusually poor I can go to pool. Owner of suites has special concession with both parts of leisure centre for residents. Mercadal is best location, and Estancia is best hotel.

Could not stay longer than 19 days this year.

Great hotel,brand new,with beautiful design,very good location in the middle of the island and convenient to reach out to the beaches. Personnel were super nice and Leon is the highlight of the hotel.Very helpful,he accomodated all put needs.

Breakfast was quite limited,more options would be better plus the door of the wc is transparent

The rooms were perfect in size and comfort, with the outdoor space providing an amazing view of the surrounding area. The staff were both friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

The staff! We had the best holiday thanks to Leon, Paqui and Raul. The hotel is located in a very convenient location in the middle of the island, making the daily commute time to the beach easier. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was delicious.
