facilities, cleanliness, breakfast, location

this is our third time back to this property within the past 6 months, we clearly like it. however, despite many nice memories, our check-in and check-out experience is always the lowest quality. this specific time the lady at the reception made a rude comment about us in spanish which she thought I did not understand, but I clearly did. This was the day right before Christmas which we chose to start celebrating early and she completely and senselessly ruined our experience. this is something I hope management reads and follows up on, as if it happened to me, I’m sure happens multiple times a day.

Excellent for the price - it was clean, extremely comfy and all the amenities were excellent. The food was varied and fairly good.

It says free parking but it is not exactly true: it's first come first serve and obviously it's always full. Free parking in street though so you can park outside in the street. Another downside: the staff overall is great but during check in we would have loved more explanation about the amenities: we had to ask around, on the go, to learn more (ex: the towel for the swimming pool, the dinner buffet or the restaurant, the different closing times for the amenities etc.)

The personnel was nice with a good language command in English and German. We had a balcony with a view of the ocean from it. The internet connection was stable and fast. We experienced much flexibility: i.e. we had not booked dinner but got it easily in the spot, for a fee. The food was just exceptional, both breakfast and dinner. And excellent beds, backpain-free!

This might be a strange thing to write, but the flush of the toilet was ridiculously loud, at the level of loudness of flushing in an airplane. No way to use the bathroom at night without waking your partner. Our room also had a shower head that could not be attached to the wall, and washing long hair with one hand drove me nuts sometimes.

Excellent hotel! Looks like it is very well looked after and managed. There was everything we needed. Pools, jacuzzis, nice surroundings to the pool (well done gardeners) also there was a bar/bistro where you could get lunch, snack or a drink which you could eat there or there was an option to take it to your sunbed (they provide you with takeaway cups. i had a drink not sure about food). There is also a mini shop to get bottles of water for fair prices. The hotel lobby and other premises were kept clean and spotless including our room. Also, the hotel provides a shuffle bus to/from the town which was a great touch!

Only a little downside would be a bit of noise from the road next to the side of our hotel. Wasn't too annoying but not for those who seeks real quit place to relax on the balcony. Saying that I believe that the other side/wing could be quiter so there is an option. However a beautiful view of mount Tiede made it up:)

Absolutely love this hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room big and clean with balcony. Bed really big and comfortable. Bring a travel kettle if your English. Breakfast was included and great choice in a lovely room and by pool. Hotel is very relaxed lots of areas to sit. Entertainment most nights. Service great. Pool area really lovely lots of plants,palms and pretty. About 20 minute walk down steep hill to town. We loved everything. Visited Loro Parque and Mount Tiede. Siam Park in south and kids did quad biking. We would definitely come to Hotel Puerta Palace again and would highly recommend. Never felt like a Hotel, so friendly, spacious and pretty. Had a fabulous week ☺️ 🌟

Maybe pool could have been a bit warmer 🤔

The hotel is clean and well maintained. There were maintenance works being carried out during my stay (that didn’t interfere with my stay). The team working there were kind, helpful and friendly. The hotel pool area is beautiful and very well maintained.

In a 4 star hotel I would not normally expect to be charged for the use of safe. There is a very simple solution to updating the decor of the rooms. The curtains in this baroque pattern design have no place in a modern island hotel. By changing just that one element into a neutral colour linen curtain, the rooms would feel fresher and more in line with the area. It would benefit the hotel greatly.

Hotel Puerto Palace is a fantastic Hotel, in my opinion it's good for a short break or prolonged stay. It's quite a walk from the centre of town, but that was ok for us, We actually enjoyed the walk back up the hill from the town after a night out. The food suited us also, loads of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, chicken, beef and pork. The clientele are mostly middle aged or older, again...this suited us as we're a similar age group. The Hotel was relaxing, super clean and the staff were excellent. We've backpacked through the Canary Islands a few times and this hotel met all our needs and has been one of the best we've stayed in. We're genius level three, stayed in loads of Hotels through the years and would happily recommend a stay here to friends and family. Well done Hotel Puerto Palace.

Paying for safe

My stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations! The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was super cozy with high-quality linens — I had the best sleep! The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The location is perfect — close to many attractions and with convenient transport links. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, which made my stay truly enjoyable. I would definitely come back again! Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort and a warm atmosphere.

Nice clean decent sized room. Facilities in room- fridge, safe, ensuite bathroom with double basin,bath,shower,bidet, hair drier. We had balcony looking towards pool and hills. Very well tended grounds and comprehensive pool area with with three Jacuzzis and about 4 pools. Buffet style breakfast. (Didn't try evening meals as we hired a car and were out exploring till late ish most days so ate out.) Daily maid service to a high standard. 12 pm checkout. I think there was a shuttle service up and down to town but we never had need to use it as it's a pleasant walk to the seafront and back. This is another hotel I would return to in PdlC without hesitation.

-Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. -Balcony overlooking the pool area and view to the Teide was great! -Bathroom equipped with showertub and two sinks was clean and well maintained -Evening entertainment was basic, but okay with different musicians (some better than others in regards to entertaining the crowd) or „traditional“ spanish dancers performing and was always well visited by the guests -Breakfast had good options of different bread and brötchen, daily cold cuts (cheese, ham,…), different jams etc., fruits and vergetables tasted great - Location as in Puerto Cruz is great, its a bit up the mountain with about a 20 minute walk down to the main streets with lots of restaurants (quite steep on the way back up!)

- Breakfast: only had pancakes on some days, the eggs tasted quite bland, so after some days youd always pick the same stuff - Breakfast: Juices and coffee were only available through a machine and tasted like that, some fresh ones may have been a little better - Dinner: Amount of choices was rather limited, though youd always had at least 2/3 options of different meats and carbs (rotating between rice, potatoes and pasta), drinks are NOT included and had to be paid at the end of stay
