the noise, you could hear everything very clearly, the conversations from the reception, the conversations and TV of my neighbours, every person walking up the stairs, the cleaning ladies in the morning, waking me up every time the hotel is old, the room small at the reception you had to buy coffee capsules for 1,5€, at other hotels/airbnbs you could receive that for free to get to the hotel you had to climb a very steep hill, this didn’t bother me but keep in mind

The staff were friendly. The room was clean. The cleaner came every morning and provided new towels when needed. The shower had good pressure and hot water. The wifi worked pretty well most of the time. The smoking area in the private garden was available any time. The continental breakfast was decent and they topped the food up regularly. Access to the property with the code was useful for late check-in.

Getting to the hotel from town, you have to go up a steep hill. The bathroom was really small so it was difficult to use the sink without spilling water everywhere. It would have been nice to have a drinking water dispenser in the lobby because we ended up buying lots of plastic water bottles. There was only one pillow and a cushion per person. There was no conditioner only a shower gel/ shampoo combo.

Staff were amazing, we were travelling with a young child and they treated her very well, and helped us out with everything we needed - we only had to ask. Breakfast was decent, with a good selection, just a shame they didn't offer any other meals - but they do have a microwave and will get plates for you if you want to heat something up - there is also a free coffeepod machine in the reception. Location was pretty good, walking distance to a park and mini-marts, and 10 minute drive to Puerto de la Cruz centre. There is on-street parking outside.

Shame the restaurant didn't offer food at other times.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Don Cándido in Puerto de la Cruz. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Our studio was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. We also had an amazing view of Mount Teide, which added a special touch to our experience. The location is ideal—it’s in a quiet area, yet within a short walking distance to many attractions and conveniences. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, and the swimming pool was a great spot to relax. Puerto de la Cruz is truly the best place in Tenerife, and I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Don Cándido. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

Good location, a bit out off the centre, so it is very quiet. Still, very close and easy access to the centre, restaurants and the sea shore. Super friendly staff, a roof terrace, small swimming pool, and an option for breakfast - very good, continental type. Breakfast is an extra but I loved the fact, that is always there when you need it. Some rooms, or maybe the one I was staying in, are tiny. Only space for bed and a small table with a fridge under, plus bed-side table. There is a wardrobe with enough space for cloths, a suitcase and a bathroom. However small it is, I needed to have a good sleep, shower and toilet, breakfast in the morning for the good start of the day out, discovering the island. Also, you can park a car on the street. Spaces are limited but in general I was able to get one.

Not much, if anything. Maybe a fan above the bed could be a little quieter? or maybe an air-con unit, as it can be fairly hot at night? Well, it is a really nice, small hotel at the very reasonable price, nothing to complain about.

The locatiom up 2 big hills a real struggle for me No evening meal or bar only vending machines. No coffee or kettle in room and coffee pods £1.50 most hotels provide tea coffee kettle in room

The best choice for stay in Tenerife!! Great value for money clean and cozy. The girl at the reception was so helpful! She even booked us a taxi for the south airport because our flight was on early in the morning and busses don't work properly on the island ( you may have to use taxi a lot as we did). Very pleased with our stay in general! Close enough to loro park and the centre...

The walls should be thicker. This way no sounds would disturb our sleep. Just a suggestion when it's time for renovation!

really lovely hotel, good facilities, liked the options of pool, breakfast, microwave and fridge. I had little interaction with staff, but they were friendly and helpful. Pool was great, it was lovely and quiet, pool is only open 10-19:00 but for this time of year it was fine for me. There is a space to sit downstairs and relax and play games and also a rooftop to sit out on aswell which looked great for the sun worshippers. The area near the hotel was quiet and there was a little shop around the corner. Impressed with the breakfast options available for 7.5€.

it was very clean on arrival, smell of bleach in the room, you could hear people up and down the stairs as my room was beside the stairs, but i was really impressed overall for the price and the location. the hotel may be difficult to access by foot as it is up a steep hill, but I just got a taxi back. please change coffee filter, the coffee was gritty

Large room with balcony. Comfy bed. Well-functioning bath. Friendly staff. There was a pool and a roof terrace. There was a fridge in the room.

They didn't clean the bathroom during 1 week's stay. I would expect that the toilet bowl and the bathroom sink would be cleaned daily. The breakfast wasn't meeting my expectations, no fresh bread for example. You can reach the city center by foot, but note that the hotel is on a steep hill.
