Excellent location, with forecourt parking. Only 5 minutes walk to town and few minutes walk to lovely local restaurant: Bisonte Roja( booking advised). Very good breakfast: hot food could be ordered to complement a variety of cold options. . Clean comfortable room with outdoor terrace. Bedding and towels are of high quality. Bath as well as shower is ideal.

We would have liked to use the indoor pool, not necessarily the spa facilities, but this was only possible to pay for access to all: €18 for 55 mins. We only discovered during the night, when the room was too warm, that the aircon wasn’t operating. Instead , we opened the terrace door for cool air.

We had a very comfortable room with a small terrace. The whole hotel was very clean and well decorated and is situated in a good location. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

The evening meal could have been better. We ordered what we thought to be spare ribs with a barbecue sauce, but they were actually stewed in a stock which bore no resemblance to a barbecue sauce. There was not a good choice for breakfast and the croissants etc would benefit from being warmed up in the oven before serving.

Everything absolutely fabulous - especially the upgrade to suite with spa bath - super! Service excellent, friendly and welcoming. Pool looked beautiful, although didn't use personally. Visit into nearby Santillana del Mar and then to Comillas for the gorgeous beach 15 mins away (recommended by hotel staff) absolutely worth spending time! Evening meal and breakfast great with excellent service. Wish we could have spent more time there. Having the privilege to inspect the classic car and bike collection a bonus!

Great location just outside the village centre and a few minutes’ drive from Altamira. Easy parking. Lovely suite with two bathrooms, including a spa bath. Very good breakfast and a nice evening menu with a reasonably priced bar and menu del dia. Exceptionally lovely staff who were patient with our limited Spanish and worked very hard to ensure everyone had a pleasant stay.

Amazing hotel, absolutely stunning. Rooms are gorgeous, big comfortable beds, very clean. Staff were lovely and helpful. The spa is really lovely, one of the best that I have been to. Less than 5 minute walk to the village and restaurants.

There is no gym which may be a downside for some people.

Many of us came for a wedding and the hotel did not have irons enough. They did not have any ironingboard, so we had to make due with the bed matress.

the room was very spacious with lovely attention to detail including robes and decorative towels. The staff were helpful and kind and there was an extensive choice of breakfast food on offer.

Nice quirky hotel just outside the old part of the town. Easy to walk into the town and explore. Excellent final stop on a motorcycle tour of Northern Spain / Portugal and final stop before Santander ferry which is half an hour along the motorway. Plenty of available parking, decent meal.

Nothing to dislike

The property is impeccably clean and there is a pool and spa facilities. we had great central AC and blackout curtains for sleeping in. the bathroom and room was a good size and I also had a small balcony. staff was friendly and the hotel was good quality.

when I booked, I was aware there was an extra charge for the spa but you have to pay $ €18 to go to the spa/jacuzzi/heated pool area for just a one hour slot. there is a pool that can be used for free on the premises but ultimately I think it would be better if the jacuzzi was just simply included in the fee. i ended up staying in Santillana a couple more days at Hotel Cuevas which provided amenities at no extra charge for a similar price.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views, very well maintained, lovely spa experience and very friendly staff. The restaurant was great and the food delicious. We also loved the antique car and motorbike collection. The room was beautiful and the beds very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. 10/10!
