Lovely rooms, friendly staff and epic rooftop pool overlooking the capital!

For the price, feel that breakfast should have been included!

A great hotel very well located in the center of the city, close to Vihara Mahadevi Park and the incredible National Museum of Colombo. The rooftop overflow swimming pool is great to relax ad refresh after a long day of walk around the city. you can enjoy cocktails and food there. The breakfast choice and quality is just incredible : a real full meal. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view over the Colombo city. The service and welcome from the hotel have been really great. This is a fantastic place to choose for your stay in Colombo!

All was really great. No bad points to notice.

+ check in staff pretty nice (bell boys; security guards; front desk) + clean and big rooms + great bar (we ate there 3 times in 2 days) + nice pool with a cool view + front desk tried to offer use higher floor rooms as we asked + breakfast is generous and staff there is outstanding + they kept our luggage safe after the check-out

- prices in the restaurants menu are not shown with taxes (it is stipulated that you pay 10% service charge plus the "prevailing" government taxes which we had no clue which % are). I think it would be fair if prices are shown with the taxes included + the 10% service charge which is ok.

The hotel is perfectly located, making it easy to explore Colombo. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. The food was of outstanding quality, both at the rooftop restaurant and on the ground floor. The rooftop pool is simply incredible — offering a breathtaking panoramic view over Colombo. Right next to it, the rooftop restaurant provides a fantastic setting for a relaxing meal with great service. Our room was spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The children absolutely loved it. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families and travelers looking for a stylish and relaxing stay in Colombo.

The only downside was the shower: although hot water was available, the temperature kept fluctuating every 15 to 20 seconds, alternating between hot and cold, even when the mixer was properly adjusted.

The hotel itself is of 4-5 star quality and service.

The RIP-OFF practice of HIDDEN CHARGES! The hotel adds a whooping 30% onto their listed food and drink items. First they add 10% service charge onto the food/drink bill and then another 18% VAT (even on top of the 10% service charge). What is despicable about this practice is the fact that the 10% service charges don't end up with the staff, who would more than deserve it, but at the same time, the food/drinks staff don't get any tips from customers, as the 30% rip-off charge seems more than enough for a guest to pay. This is a shameful practice which we have also encountered in another Jetwing hotel in Sri Lanka, but in no other 4 or 5 star hotel on our 12 journey through this wonderful country.

Our original hotel cancelled our room 24 hours before we were due to stay, so we booked a room here at short notice, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were lovely. I dont know if we got a reduced price for booking same day, but it felt like very good value for money for how nice the hotel was. They have a roof top bar and infinity pool where we watched the sunset over colombo. A very cool experience. The room was very big, facilities excellent, and over all it was a fantastic place to stay

Jetwing Colombo Seven ★★★★☆
We had a fantastic stay at Jetwing Colombo Seven, perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it super convenient to explore. We opted for the apartment, and it was a brilliant choice—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The food was a highlight, with delicious options across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, catering to various tastes with great quality. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and cared for. The rooftop bar, while offering nice views and a relaxed vibe, could use a bit of a modern refresh, but it was still enjoyable for an evening drink. Overall, a great experience, and I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Colombo!

Rooftop bar and pool are a bit outdated

We had a truly wonderful time during our stay at Jetwing Colombo Seven. What really stood out was the exceptional service from all the staff members we encountered. Throughout our stay, everyone was incredibly accommodating, kind, welcoming, and friendly. From the reception team who went above and beyond to help us source swimming nappies (thank you!), to the attentive staff in both the downstairs and upstairs restaurants, and the efficient housekeeping team – everyone contributed to making our experience fantastic.

I loved hanging out at the roof top restaurant and swimming pool. It is my most favorite place to relax watching the sun go down or the rain falling down. The Gym was located right next door, so my morning routine was to go to the Gym, then wind down by the pool before heading for an amazing buffet breakfast waiting for me at the ground floor restaurant. The staff were very friendly and checked on me making me feel safe. I felt like living in a house with family. I would definitely return.

Nice hotel for a 1 night stay. The room was clean, good facilities available in the room, comfortable bed. We visited the rooftop bar and restaurant which was nice although we were surprised at the service fee and taxes added onto the bill. It ended up being 30% more expensive than expected. However, the food was nice and the views over the city are amazing. The rooftop pool was nice and it was good to have access to the shower once we'd checked out. There is not much space up there but it was adequate for what we needed. I was kindly given soy milk for the room to make a cup of tea which was much appreciated. We also appreciated the late check out due to a later flight and the storage of our luggage. Location wise - there were some nice cafe's and shops within walking distance and a large park within a 20-25 minute walk. Galle Face Beach was a short tuk tuk ride away along with One Galle Face Mall.

The downstairs restaurant had a limited menu in the early evening - whilst for some this may not be a problem, we have a 2 year old and eating at 7pm was too late for us. We did go to the rooftop restaurant instead but it would have been nice to have the option. Not a complaint as such, just something for others to be aware of.
