We liked everything.. from the rooms to the food, we didn’t expect to find such a beautiful place in Kandy ,

One thing we didn’t like that some of the employees are not polite there eyes are everywhere, we weren’t comfortable eating, or hanging around because they were all over the place and giving looks, they need more training, although they are nice and helpful.

We were cancelled at the last minute by Villa Olde Ceylon (wouldn’t choose there as terrible customer relations) and thank goodness we were. From the moment we left the busy roads of Kandy and entered the driveway of this boutique hotel we felt relaxed. Talk about an oasis away from the madness. Previously a colonial dwelling this was been turned into a very well run hotel. Greeted warmly with a welcome drink we were shown to our room. Beautifully appointed with a four poster bed (with all round mosquito nets), big bathroom with wetroom shower. Good quality bedding, towels and products. We were given afternoon tea round the pool - well tea and cake - a nice gesture. They have an outstanding chef here. Our evening meal and breakfast were both delicious and faultless. Staff were excellent too - just wish they were wearing name badges so I could mention them. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

This is a stunningly beautiful property with amazing furnishings and artwork. After a busy day, it’s like coming home to a peaceful oasis. The food is absolutely amazing; you can choose traditional Sri Lankan dishes or a la cart and every dish was presented beautifully and tasted divine. The rooms are spacious, clean and use quality linens. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It is all the little touches that make it so special like the lighting at night, the peaceful music and the way you are greeted and made to feel at home.

Situated amidst the city's hustle and bustle, this hotel offers a peaceful haven adorned with lush greenery. The hotel's overall look and feel are simply beautiful, and the service provided was top-notch. What stood out the most for me was the hotel's architecture and interior design. The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated, adding to the pleasant experience. The food was enjoyable, and the service staff were attentive. The atmosphere of the hotel exuded a sense of luxury, making it a pleasant place to unwind after a busy day exploring the city. In summary, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in the heart of the city.

We had an absolutely delightful end to our Sri Lankan Honeymoon at Taru Villas Kandy. The building is steeped in colonial history and opulence coupled with all the modern luxury's needed for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. The beautiful staff always waiting around the corners to accomodate every one of your need's, around the villa and also around Kandy city. As we arrived we saw a sign on a van saying “Come as a Guest, Leave as a friend” we cannot think of a better comment to sum up our beautiful stay. My Wife and I cannot recommend a better place to stay while in Kandy

Our first night in Sri Lanka was spent at Taru Villas in Kandy, a beautiful boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the city. This hidden gem, surrounded by busy streets, offered a unique sense of beauty and privacy within its confines. The hotel staff left a lasting impression with their exceptional service, being quick and responsive to our needs. The rooms were not only clean but also spacious, providing a comfortable retreat. However, the true highlight was the food. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional, featuring some of the best chicken and ice cream dishes we've ever tasted. The chefs at Taru Villas truly outdid themselves, adding a memorable culinary experience to our stay. In conclusion, our overall experience was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend Taru Villas to anyone visiting Kandy. It's a perfect blend of tranquility in the midst of a bustling city, coupled with outstanding service and culinary delights that leave a lasting impression!

We were stunned by this hotel. It is unbelievably beautiful. Very nicely decorated, clean and well managed. We had two.delux room on the second floor. Most of all we were impressed by job of florist - I've never seen such beautiful floral decoration in the reception lobby and common areas. The dinner and breakfast were solid and delicious. We wish we could stay longer in

Some staff in reception needs to learn English. They are very friendly and always willing to help, but sometimes communication is difficult.

Our stay at Taru Villas was wonderful. The historic villa had so much charm and character, making it a memorable place to stay. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, which made our experience all the more enjoyable. We loved spending time in the beautiful gardens and taking a dip in the swimming pool, especially after a day of sightseeing. The meals were another highlight, with delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients.

Beautiful property, wonderful friendly staff. Wxcellent breakfast and very good dinner (try Sri Lankan feast). Rooms are clean and spacious, nicely decorated. The pool is a gem, especially when it‘s dark.

On the pictures it looks very peaceful and the atmosphere is peaceful. But train passes by and it‘s in a really vivid area of Kandy.

Everything about the property was exceptional. Extremely beautifully built and maintained, loved the theme around sustainability. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Kandy . The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent! Would love to visit again sometime soon. Pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful this property is.
