Good value for the money. Spacious rooms with good view.

No amenities. No places close by to buy too. You have to walk around almost a kilometer to buy even a soap. Hotel is on top of a steep hill. Walking is a ‘no’. Always use a vehicle.

Good value for money for a one night layover. Comfortable beds. And clean.

The swimming pool was in need of a good clean. There was no soap provided in the room, and the water pressure was extremely low—almost non-existent at times. More concerning, however, was the safety of the upstairs accommodation for families with small children. We were placed in an upstairs room with a balcony, and within seconds of bringing our luggage in, my toddler had managed to slip away and run across other adjoining balconies. For a terrifying moment, we thought he had fallen. It was every parent's worst nightmare. The balcony walls had gaps wide enough for a toddler to potentially squeeze through, making it extremely unsafe. I strongly advise against placing families with young children in upstairs rooms with balconies. This could have ended very badly, and it left us shaken.

This is a great affordable option in Kandy. The pool was an added bonus. The rooms were clean, the bedding and pillows could be updated but for the money this was excellent. The location isn't too bada little out of town but very quiet. Not many tuk tuks know where it is and naturally there was a huge variation is charges?

Could do with a bit of updating. The pillows were very lumpy. There were some Russians staying and as usual did their own thing by being loud and brash until very late. Our room was above the seating area and they saw us return with my 10 year old son, but that didn't make a different- The table was covered in booze and we knew it could be a problem!

Good facilities for the price including the pool and air-conditioned rooms.

The view from a terrace is stunning, the mountains in a far horizon surrounded by a jungle. You can see amazing sunsets each night. You can see the wild monkeys each morning and evening. The wifi in my room did not work, only on a terrace.

This property requires a deep clean, just moping the floor isn't enough. The wall tiles were very dirty and the windows too. Even a table cloth on a terrace was very dirty, can't see when it was washed last time. The room needs repainting as the walls are very dirty and it doesn't look as good as on a website.

Service is definitely the best part about this place, they were extremely welcoming (let us check in earlier and check out later than their general rule) and helpful, always with a big smile on their face! The view from the balcony was very nice. Breakfast was standard, but tasty, and they were flexible with its serving hours. In general, a nice place for its price.

The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but I've definitely seen worse in Sri Lanka in similar stanard acommodations. The room was okay, just the air felt a little mouldy, maybe the aircon may need some cleaning. The pool was a great option, just didn't look the cleanest.

My friend and I stayed at the blue haven guest house in Kandy for 3 nights and loved it! It is slightly further from the city than other places but we loved the mountain views and the quietness of being out of the city. Using pickme was very cheap for tuktuks and the friendly workers and owners were more than happy to help us find transport when needed. They even organised transport to the train station on our last day to make sure made it on time. The staff were very kind and went above and beyond to accomodate anything we needed. Our room was spacious, clean and the aircon was great. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. We couldn’t recommend blue haven guest house enough!

Great value place to stay for Kandy. Very peaceful, green setting in the hills just above town. We'd walk into town in the morning, catch a tuk tuk back at night (it's a bit remote for walking after dark; tuk tuks are super easy way to nip about!). Really friendly and helpful staff - they looked after train tickets sent to me before we arrived. Friendly budget place with a great breakfast and even a small but serviceable pool. A real bargain!

Lovely guest house tucked away from the bustle of Kandy in a great location. The pool was great and the family were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast there as well . Highly recommended 👌
