What an absolute gem! The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of the city, making it so easy to explore everything on foot. The staff were truly amazing: warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their kindness made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. Our room was spacious and very comfortable — far more than we expected for the price. In fact, for the location and quality, this is hands down the best value you’ll find. We slept great each night and felt completely at home. It’s rare to find a place that combines such a prime location, genuinely kind staff, and comfortable rooms at such a reasonable rate. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The staff here were really friendly and helpful. On our first night there was a funny smell in the room and the staff came to spray the room and put incense sticks in which really helped so much! Then the next morning they tried to knock for us to move us to a different room however we were already out for the day, so when we returned they moved us to another room, this was so kind of them. The rooms are an impressive size which is really good for the such low price. The toilet and shower are separate instead of a wet room which my boyfriend and I prefer, and they have hot water! There’s a little bakery underneath which sells different pasties and coffees etc but you can also get breakfast through the hotel, we didn’t get this so I can’t comment. But overall we liked our stay here, obviously the place isn’t luxury but I think you get more than what you pay for here, would return!

Where to start. This is literally the BEST accommodation we had in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka 1st: the room: huge, comfy, even had a balcony. And first time ever we even have AC in a budget room, what a blast! It's super central and you can walk everywhere. Even treated us to a huge breakfast. 2nd: the host: such a sweet kind man, always caring and asking what we needed, he even walked us all the way to the bus station (15mn at least!) and made sure the bus gave us the local price. Seriously, I have not enough words to express how nice this stay was. Look no further, you won't be disappointed: stay here!

The location was great. 10 minute walk down the road and you are at the lake and temple of the Holy tooth, Buddha museum etc. 5 minutes walk around the lake and you are at the dance theatre. 10 minutes walk, the central market and bus stops. Townhouse rest is loving cared for by the most helpful, gentlest of men. Such a delight. He took me to the bus station, sat me on the bus and made sure the driver and conductor knew where to drop me off as it wasn't a straight forward journey. The breakfast are enormous. Beds, comfy. Shower hot. I would definitely use this place again.

The most kindest owner of a hotel you will ever meet. Will do absolutely anything for you. Helped us to arrange our train from Kandy to Ella, provided different schedules for dates and times. When we were unable to get a ticket for the train on our desired date, the owner was kind enough to refund our final night as this was not needed as we left Kandy a day earlier than planned. He also escorted us to the train station to make sure we got the right train. The owner also provided a lovely breakfast free of charge. Room is very large and spacious. Air Con worked fine. Shower with hot water. Location was great.

Nothing - really enjoyed our stay here.

Unfortunately we didn’t end up staying overnight, as I had accidentally booked the wrong day and arrived a day earlier than my booking. Although the owner unfortunately didn’t have any space for us to extend our booking, he very graciously let us sit in the accommodation and use the WiFi & a/c whilst we found somewhere else for the night. We really appreciated his kindness, and as if we were to come back to Kandy, would definitely re-book here (for the correct dates!)

We have been travelling for 5 months but this was definitely the kindest host and the biggest room we've had. We even had to ask for LESS breakfast haha. We will come back and stay here again! Needless to say we recommend this place :)

First at all, the owner of this hotel was the friendliest person I have met in Sri Lanka :) he gave us tips for everything, helped us with choosing the right bus and the right place to Stay. He even draw a description for us how to get to the target :D Then I also added some pics of the hotel. It's old but he cleaned the room Very well you get a super hot shower with a good waterpressure. The AC is also working as it should be and the breakfast was also top notch :) So for that price you receive more than you should get at this price range :) Would totally go there again :)

The owner is the nicest man on hearth ; he has three of our big big rooms — about 40 square meters. The WiFi works very well. The breakfast is amazing. The owner has plenty of tips to visit.

Maybe a bit old, and a pair of chairs in the room would be nice — even if the room is 40 m2 there is no chair ;) I still rated 10/10 because it is exceptional for this price :) many thanks to the owner ++++ :)

For such a busy city like Kandy, this was a very spacious and relaxing location to unwind. The man in charge was so LOVELY and SWEET! Amazing customer service and he even helped me find a park for my Tuk Tuk around the corner from the hotel.

Not really a negative for me, but you need to be able to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the rooms. Nice apartment when you get there though.
