Location is fantastic. It is just in the center of the downtown Kandy, and you can walk to many famous attractions, restaurants and shopping centers. Rooms are clean enough and worth the money.

The lack of parking space is a bit annoying. We had to park in the street. And after midnight, we had to change the parking spot (in the strret) as per municipality regulations.

The location is close to the centre of Kandy so everything is within walking reach. Rooms are accessible through elevator or stairs. You get fixed choices of breakfast type to choose from with some variations in each of them. If it's not included with the room booking you have to pay for each breakfast. Room as to be paid on arrival. Anything extra to the breakfast like espresso has to be paid extra since it's not included within the available breakfast type.

Your daily made-up room may not be ready when you return from your day trip at 1700. You may also have to re-ask for new small towels.

We had a very pleasant stay at Cafe Aroma Inn—a great find in the heart of Kandy. The location is excellent, right in the city centre, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Kandy’s main attractions, shops, and restaurants on foot. We stayed in the family room, which was spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. The only downside was the lack of a balcony—it would have been lovely to sit out and enjoy the lively evening atmosphere of the city. The staff were friendly, hospitable, and happy to help with any questions or information we needed about the local area. We had breakfast at the on-site café, which was a real highlight—plentiful, fresh, and delicious, a great way to start the day before heading out to explore. Overall, Cafe Aroma Inn is a solid choice for those looking for affordable comfort in a central location. We’d definitely consider staying here again the next time we’re in Kandy.

Perfect location in central Kandy, only a few minutes walk to the lake and the Temple of the Tooth. Staff were very friendly and service-minded, and the room was comfortable and perfectly clean.

The restaurant was fine, but not the cosiest.

We liked the location as it is very central. Right around the corner from the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. By the way, the World Buddist Museum is also there and is worth a visit. The room was very clean, the shower was great but if it is an overcast day, you will need to tell them about 20 minutes before so that they can turn on the hot water. The large amount of tv satellite stations was a treat. The first floor of the hotel is a restaurant which serves a variety of delicious foods None of the restaurant sounds reach the rooms upstairs. The service was excellent and the staff is very attentive. Special thanks to Thilini, Pabasara and Nawas for their friendliness.

Noise from other guests walking outside the room could be an issue. The staff should post a sign requesting quiet outside the rooms. The room was a bit smaller than expected but since we were out sightseeing most of the time it was not an issue.

We had the pleasure of staying at Cafe Aroma Inn during our visit to Kandy, and the highlight of our experience was Ashan, the outstanding and incredibly sympathetic gentleman at the reception. From the moment we arrived, Ashan made us feel right at home with his warm demeanor and charming personality. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Not only did he arrange all our day trips flawlessly, but he also followed up with us to make sure we were safe and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests is truly commendable. Ashan’s knowledge of the area and his excellent recommendations made our time in Kandy unforgettable. Whether it was organizing transportation, suggesting local attractions, or simply being there with a friendly smile, he consistently exceeded our expectations. The level of service we received from Ashan is rare and deserves all the recognition. Easy check-in after a long 8hr train ride so I'm very thankful to Ishan. Choice of payment by card or cash. Great location, 5 minutes walk away from the lake and tooth relic temple. About 10 to 15 minutes walk to the railway station depending on baggage. The room is spacious and well furnished with great air-conditioning, WiFi and cable TV. It was nice to watch news from around the world. A bar fridge and electric kettle is provided. No mosquitoes and outdoor noise/air pollution because room does not have windows to the outside. It was very quiet and comfortable so I had a very good night's sleep. 24 Hrs front desk and security so early morning checkout was easy.

There was nothing that I did not like.about the accommodation. The cafe downstairs is catered more for western taste hence I did not eat there because I was after authentic Sri Lankan food.

The room was lovely, and there's tea and coffee facilities in the room. The hotel is in a fantastic location for central Kandy, but still very quiet for sleeping at night. There's also an attached cafe downstairs, if you're feeling lazy and don't fancy venturing very far for food.

Considering that the room price did not include breakfast, it wasn't the best value for money compared to other places I stayed in Sri Lanka, and I also felt that the breakfast served in the cafe was not great quality or value for money - again, compared to other places I ate at.

My stay at Aroma Cafe Inn was nothing short of delightful. We were fortunate to get a perfect room on the top floor, boasting comfortable beds and a stunning view of the Bahirawakanda Temple. The location couldn't be better—just two blocks from the Sri Dalada Maligawa, truly placing you in the heart of Kandy. The staff at Aroma Cafe Inn were wonderful and super attentive, especially Pabasara. He took the time to learn our names and engaged us every morning with conversations about Sri Lanka, adding a personal touch to our experience. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a variety of options that ensured we never left hungry. If you're craving authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, just let them know a day in advance so they can prepare something special. Overall, Aroma Cafe Inn provided a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy!
