I had a pleasant stay at Ceyloni Lake Residency. The location is fantastic, with a direct view of Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Tooth (Dalada Maligawa). It's easy to access the city and shopping areas, just a short walk away, but the hotel is still peaceful, away from the city's hustle. It’s also only a few meters from the Kandy City View Point. The service was excellent, especially the manager who was friendly and very helpful. While the hotel offers all the necessary facilities, it does feel little bit dated and could benefit from some renovation to further improve its value. Overall, a great choice for a short stay in Kandy!

We are a family of 8 ranging from 4yrs to 82yrs old, 6 of us visiting from the UK, 2 joining from South Africa. We booked 3 rooms (2 triples and a double) and all 3 were good. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with good views of the lake. We stayed 2 nights and Pribad was attentive and friendly, always happy to help. Breakfast in the dining area was fantastic, large portions of tasty food, nothing was too much trouble, and we had great dinners at restaurants nearby (walking distance). We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this property

Staff were very accommodating. We wanted an Iron and they gave us one for the room. We had a welcome drink when we checked in. Breakfast was fitting to all with both Sri Lankan and English breakfast options available. View from the room was superb! We could see the Kandy temple and the Perahara at distance. At night it was a sight to be seen!

I think the facilities needs a bit of a redecoration and renewal. With just a bit of renovation this place can be a gem. We only styed for 1 night so it was not a big issue for us.

Great location , easy walk to town , good size room , great breakfast , lovely friendly helpful staff . Mr Jaysingh (owner ) was a perfect host , and always willing to assist. Aided by Prabath , very friendly and helpful , plus Dean was a lovely guy , always willing to assist. Very good traditional dance show practically next door I’d definitely return there.

Monkeys can be a nuisance , so restricted the use of the balcony .

Stunning view of Kandy lake, Temple of the Tooth and town from the room balcony. Hill top location that was walking distance from the town, the temple and the lake. The helpful staff. Breakfast. Air conditioning. Hot and cold water with good pressure. Comfortable bed. Decent size room. Regular visit of an elephant that belongs to the Temple of Tooth during breakfast time and this has been an added bonus.

Some bathroom issues. Stairs. We had two rooms. One was located three levels down.

Staff was very friendly and nice. Breakfast was very very good, prepared by a kind man who was sure everything was perfect! Location is fine, room was okay. Bed was big and comfortable. Plus for bottle of water in the room :)

Bathroom could be cleaner. It looked like good years are ahead but there could be a bit more focus on it. The biggest issue was the fact that some school was right next to the balcony and they had some band playing drums and trumpets starting at 6.50 AM in a very loud way! So impossible to have a longer sleep. Apart from that all was good

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was affordable and offered great value for the price. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service. The breakfast was delicious, and the family room was comfortable and spacious. The location made it easy for us to access many attractions, and the view from our room was fantastic. We highly recommend it for families looking for a budget-friendly stay with great amenities!

First of all the reception we got from the Manager, Mr. Jayasinghe and his able staff was nothing short of excellent. They ensured that we were able to settle in very conveniently. Throughout the stay we were treated to a wonder display of care, comfort and courtesy. On the rooms that we got, the state of the rooms were pretty good. The view from the double room was awesome with the Sri Dalada temple, the lake, the hills and the city visible. The triple room was an excellent one and was very cosy. Overall a really happy stay!!

The bathroom in the double room needs a little attention.

The location was a short thought uphill walk from the centre. There was also a shortcut which the hotel manager was kind enough to let us know. The facilities were average. The bathroom of the room we stayed in could use a little more work. Addition of wall mounted organiser for keeping shower essentials would help. Over all the staff was good good property for short stay
