I stayed there on 7th August with my friend . I had an excellent experience there . Staff is very friendly and treat us very well.We had a very beautiful view to our room . Eventhough we booked a standard room the facilities are not less it is more than for a standard room package. It is excellent when compared to other hotels’ standard rooms . It has tea coffee making facilities and offered us a very delicious welcome drink too Actually we went there to watch Dalada maliga perahera . The hotel is situated in walking distance from the town . If we come from a three wheeler it costs only 250-300 rupees . So I will highly recommend this hotel for anyone

Nothing to say all are excellent

The staff and the room were great! The room was massive, had great views and both the bedroom/bathroom were clean and kitted with everything you needed. The breakfast served each morning was delicious and fulfilling. The staff were also incredibly helpful and nice, going out of their way to sort us out tickets for a Kandyan dance show on the same day.

The only downside is the location. It's all the way up in the hill which means its not easily accessible if you have any mobility/fitness issues. You also need to walk on the road alongside cars, tuktuks, etc which isn't ideal. However, for us it was definitely worth it as we normally walked up during the day and got a tuktuk at night.

Reaching the hotel in the narrow streets on the hill might not be very easy, especially during the night.

The location and view from the hotel is splendid. Staff is well mannered and helpful. Rooms and property was clean and well kept.

The breakfast included was average. No food was available whenever needed, but it was manageable since the food delivery service work in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel See Kandy. The location is perfect – beautifully situated with a stunning view of the Temple of the Tooth. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant served delicious food. We also really enjoyed the small swimming pool – a great place to cool off after exploring the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy!

You have to climb a bit to reach this hotel, but the view from it is totaly worth it. And you can allway take a tuk tuk that will make your way up much easier. Our kids enjoyes the pool. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast was good. One thing I loved about the breakfast is that each morning they served differet kind of fresh juice. On our arrival day we also had a lunch at hotels restorant and it was also very good and delicious. Beds were comfortabe and a view from our balcony was amaizing.

I already fell in love with the building when booking it. It could also have fit in Italy!! Compliments to the architect! The staff was really nice and offreins us tea on arrival. The view was stunning, we arrived around 19pm. We would have loved to stay one more night but the hotel was fully booked. Kids loved the swimming pool and although there were bad reviews which made me doubt to book it. I can only recommend this place!

The hotel is so nice, please also paint the wall of the swimming pool again so it looks really fresh and clean;) And yes, the climb, with a car is very steep! But we managed to get there. One there you adjust easily and then the best is to do all with a tuctuc. They know how to drive in the mountains.

Huge, spacious room with a great view of Kandy. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, especially the man who checked us in (sorry we didn't get your name!) who helped us organise some laundry and had it back to us that evening, and also helped give directions to our driver for us. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very attentive. We only stayed one night but wished we were staying longer. Such great value for what you get!

Some parts of the room were a bit old and could do with some updating but nothing that really effected our stay. It can be a bit tricky to find as you have to turn up a fork in the road but both roads at the fork have the same name so most drivers miss the turn. Keep your maps on if you can to direct the driver when arriving or ask them to call the hotel for directions.

Other Notes: The only downsides noted were the pricing, which felt a bit expensive considering the hotel's vacancy during the stay, and the somewhat melancholic ambiance amplified by the misty, rainy weather. The lack of fellow guests contributed to a quieter, more reflective atmosphere, which, while peaceful, might not be everyone's preference. In summary, this hotel offers a delightful blend of stunning views, spacious accommodations, and exemplary service. Ideal for those looking to enjoy the beauty of Kandy while appreciating a more secluded and personal stay. Despite the steep return walk and the price, the experience is well worth it for the views and the attentive care provided by the staff.
