All of the staff was so very warm, friendly and helpful, and they were clearly invested in us having a good experience. We were welcomed with a DELICIOUS meal upon our (late) arrival and instantly made to feel at home. We appreciated the company of the owner who even shared a few songs with us, and we were able to arrange plans for a guided tour the next day which was also very lovely.

One of the bathrooms wasn't clean and the towel was left from a previous guest. But I'm sure if we had made our host aware of it (which we didn't), they would have followed up instantly.

Loved the delicious fruit salad at breakfast, the friendly and helpful staff, the comfy bed, brilliant location (a lovely spot up the hill with views, just a few minutes walk from Kandy Lake) and the wonderful buffet vegetarian curry dinner in the rooftop dining room. The wifi works well.

We could have done with a kettle, cups and glasses in our room, but the staff were very helpful and boiled water for us and gave us cups and glasses.

Owner is a kind and jolly fellow. He sings songs very well. We sang John Lennon, Beatles, Queen, Bob Dylan during breakfast. Breakfast was very nice, he prepared local veg cuisines for us and buffet menu has several items. He is straightforward in approach. Nice for the given price range.

Faiesz is an amazing host, he goes out of his way to make your stay special. The Sri Lankan buffet is a must! So good and a real fun experience

The rooms could do with some updating

Friendliness of the staff, polite, welcoming and attentive. Great selection of Sri Lankan dishes and eggs for breakfast if you prefer. The owner, Faiesz, chatted with us and likes to sing to you which was very entertaining, he’s a funny guy.

Nothing to dislike

We stayed in the top floor room and it was a big room with a great view over kandy - really nice. The host was very welcoming and we had the chance to have dinner and try the several specialties they prepare on their buffet (very complete).

Dinner was amazing in the evening and breakfast lovely too. Staff were lovely and really friendly and helpful. Perfect location for exploring Kandy.

The owner was so welcoming and a lot of fun. A lovely man. The hotel is in a quiet but convenient area and it is great value for money. The evening buffet was delicious!
