The hotel vibe is dreamy and especially, Mr. Abhishan at Bed Station, truly made our day. He is an absolute gem to the hotel — incredibly genuine, humble, and professional. His warm hospitality and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel truly valued as guests. From the moment we arrived, his friendly demeanor and attentive support left a lasting impression. It's clear that he takes great pride in his work, and his presence adds tremendous value to the overall experience at Bed Station. We are truly grateful for his exceptional service and kindness.

The most sweetest and excellent staff I ever met! I would say the rooms did not match the photos, the walls were dirty, and one of the rooms I stayed had a pre-big hole right in the wall… The room had a bad smell as well, and I asked to change, and the extremely kind staff members allowed me to change. I really like the new room, but the door to the bathroom was falling off the wall. I would say in general this place is very nice… But it needs to be maintained a little bit better. A lot of things were sort of disintegrating and broken, the walls were dirty, and I was a little disappointed with that. However I stayed at three different hotels in the city, and they all had the exact same issues??

The location of the facility is very close to the center. You can easily reach the temple on foot. Also, the staff is very attentive. The breakfast was great. When I asked for a hair dryer, they immediately opened a brand new package. I had a particular problem. The tourism agency did not bring my Ella train ticket and our young friend, the facility manager, took me 5 kilometers in the rain on his motorcycle and brought me back. This was completely free and friendly help. I thank him very much. I have always met good people in Sri Lanka and everyone working at this hotel was great.

Very big comfy bed with duvet and hot shower! Staff friendly and cafe downstairs. Room is spacious and we had a great view of the Buddha on the hill from our room (301). It does get a little noisy from the main road but it is quiet at night while you sleep and picks up again early morning. We had ear plugs and they helped and still got a great night sleep. Walking down to the river front and other attractions are close. Highly recommend going to the Kandy dance at Kandyan Cultural Centre (10 min walk from the hotel) and be sure to book in advance through WhatsApp! I would stay here again.

1. Not far to walk to temples, lake, shopping area, some restaurants 2. The hotel is on a street corner and not difficult to spot 3. The ground floor has food and drinks and bakery, which is convenient if you feel lazy to go out 4. Reception and staff in the restaurant zone That is, they are well prepared to recommend food and services 5. I like the warm water strength system. Cold water while showering 6. If I have the opportunity this August, I will stay here again

1. From the first booking of 2 nights and then staying 1 more night, the hotel should provide a receipt to customers after check-out to increase professionalism 2. Without asking customers to clean the rooms for the first two nights and without towels until I had to inform the staff 3. The bathroom floor if there was a deeper cleaning would be great

The beds in the dorm were more like a little mini room. There are only 4 beds in the dorm and each has a sliding door and larger bed than usual. I was a bit worried about the ventilation since it was more or less enclosed, but it was alright. Since the hostel/hotel is part of the cafe downstairs, it closes with their hours. Basically the doors are open around 7:30 to 9:30 pm more or less. If you want to enter or leave outside of those hours, you have to call someone. For me, it wasn't a problem, but just something to consider. Location was about a 20 minute walk from the bus station and about a 10-15 minute walk to the relevant parts of the old town.

It would have been nice to have access to a locker or to be able to lock your compartment. The opening and closing hours are a bit annoying if you don't plan around it.

The staff at Bed station were exceptional and help me so much during the stay. I felt safe and welcomed, super friendly and great chef! So convenient the place has little restaurant with all types of food there and at a good price. My room was big, the bed super comfortable. Location is excellent, just 10min nice walk away from the kandy lake. Recommend 100%! Thank you to the staff and manager at bed station for the welcome 🙌😊 all the best

I reserved the room, and it met my expectations. The staff was very friendly and even brought me Panadol when I was unwell, which I truly appreciated. I also liked the location, as it was very convenient for traveling around the city.

The TV was not working, and I was not provided with the Wi-Fi password. While I’m sure they would have given it upon request, I was busy traveling and didn’t take the time to ask.

The rooms were very clean and had AC, and the bathrooms were nice with good showers, plus they provided shampoo and shower gel. The location in Kandy was decent, about a 20-minute walk to the train station. We had our train tickets delivered to the hotel through 12GoAsia—at first, the staff forgot about them, but in the end, everything was fine. They also had Wi-Fi, which wasn’t the best but worked okay.

Room was spacious. Clean. Air-con worked really well. Cafe on the ground floor was good value and the food was ok. Breakfast was the same every day, omelette and sausage but tasty and adequate. Staff were delightful and helpful.

Lots of stairs. Hotel closed at 9pm as it shared the entrance with the cafe. Our room was not serviced over our 4nights, so we ran out of clean towels, loo roll, tea, etc. The hotel sits on a main crossroads, so noise maybe a problem. Quiet at night, but traffic starts to build about 6.30.
