We traveled with our gravel bikes and stayed in Kandy for two nights. This accommodation was perfect for us: we could park our bikes on the veranda, and the location is super central for exploring the city and the temple sites of Kandy on foot. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Except for the King’s Room, they don’t have windows but feature large veranda doors instead. Air-conditioning is working very well. Each room has two cozy chairs on the veranda, which is partially screened from the adjacent parking area by palm trees and plants. We felt that we had enough privacy and enjoyed a peaceful stay. Early in the morning (around 5–6 a.m.), the first pilgrims can be heard with their musical instruments. We didn’t find this disturbing – in fact, it added to the unique atmosphere of the place. Recommended for a stay in Kandy!

One of the best properties we stayed at in the Sri Lanka. Clean and sanitized. Literally the bed of my dreams! Great proximity to the city center shops, temple and Kandy lake. At the end of a less rushy, closed end road. The best cheese omelette we had.

The management needs to work on revising pictures and room descriptions on booking.com. The four rooms at the property are not the same. We were assigned the princess room upon check in even though we booked a 'king deluxe room'. This room was different than the one we saw in pics and selected on the site. There was no spa tub etc. But we were happy and didn't argue as the assigned room was also clean and comfortable for 2 people. But not all your guests would be like us... The AC started dripping water the next morning. The staff tried to help and was quite apologetic even though its not his fault and something for the management to fix. Suggestion to take breakfast order in advance at night so that the service is faster in the morning.

Just four spacious rooms with great service and the most central location. Walk to the lake, temple and all downtown restaurants. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast in the cozy cafe. Very secure with a parking attendant and friendly police at nearby government offices. Lots of guides, drivers and pilgrim families use the area making it busy and upbeat yet very quiet at night. The scent of lotus and jasmine temple offerings waft through the air.

There is some sacred drumming starting in the wee hours.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this boutique hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Dananjaya, who served us and made sure we were comfortable. The room was very spacious, clean and well-presented. The hotel is nearby the temple and in walking distance to the city centre where there’s tons of shops and restaurants. They served us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and even packed us one to go when we had an early train ride to catch on the day of our departure. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again.

I agree with the reviews before us - this place looks way better when you are actually there. The room was fantastic and SO large! Bathroom was stunning and clean. if you have to stay In Kandy this is a tremendous place to be as it is so central but in a quiet little spot. If I were back in Kandy i would definitely go here agin. The train station was only about 15 minutes walk away or 5 mins in a tuk tuk. The staff were just so so polite and kind. They really make you feel welcome and want to help with anything they can.

Nothing about the property at all. I really could not fault the place. The breakfast was delicious too!

The location is exceptional! All the landmarks are walking distance, and so are cafes, restaurants, markets, medical stores and groceries. My room (King) was really large and had lots of storage and seating - it was more than what I could ask for. The staff was very prompt and attentive.

Muffled conversation/ noise from the adjoining restaurant and staff rooms, but that was not overpowering.

Beautiful property with gorgeous rooms and a lovely balcony area to sit and watch people going to the temple- great location and it was perfect during the Kandy Perarhera because it looks out onto where the procession ends/elephants are kept during the day so it’s super interesting, whilst being relatively out of the main hustle and bustle of central kandy.

The electricity stopped working for our room in the middle of the night and the aircon went off (this was not a powercut but we thought it was until we realised next morning it was working everywhere else in the hotel) there was only a big heavy duvet and no separate sheet which would have been absolutely gorgeous had the aircon worked, but in this instance without the aircon we got so sweaty we both woke up and then it was so hot it was hard to sleep! There are also no windows, so to get light in in the morning we had to use our phones to see, and open the doors to the street. After breakfast the next day they sorted the electrical problem.

I didnt think I was going to enjoy Kandy and this was meant to be a 1 night stop over but after sinking into the bed and the most amazing sleep I decided to stay 1 more night. The location is absolutely perfect. Walking distance to everything. Hot shower. Cool ac. News on the TV. Wonderful, kind and attentive staff. A safe, house coats (which I forgot about drats) and a fridge. The outdoor terrace is a breezy retreat during the day for a tea and a book. Its also right across the street from St Paul's and I was able.to attend the Christmas eve service which was awesome.

Everything was great. I didnt have neighbours the first night, and the street outside was quieter in the morning, so if you are a light sleepwr as I am, the sound of slamming doors and people talking loudly might wake you occasionally.

It’s just four rooms in a old traditional house. The rooms are well appointed. The location is quite central in Kandy and walking distance to the lake, temple of the tooth etc.

The location is relatively quiet which is a big bonus for being in the center of the city… There is a parking lot right outside so it’s not exactly serene. But quite notably better than neighboring streets. Staff (Dhananjaya particularly) are lovely and super helpful with all our requests.

Parking loading and unloading is an issue. Access to the room with luggage can be very difficult on a busy day. There was no clear info regarding who to contact when the check in cum restaurent is closed . Limited menu choices too.
