Great pool and location! Staff were extremely helpful whenever we needed anything and the breakfast shalshuka was delicious! The rooftop bar was also lovely and the rooms were comfortable. We loved how friendly the staff were to the stray dogs throughout most of our stay

On our last day we saw what I assume was the manager visit the hotel who insisted the stray dogs were scared away. There are only 2 or 3 that lounge around in the shade sometimes, not bothering guests, and are lovely, quiet dogs. This was extremely unnecessary as the dogs were clearly comfortable around the property, which was disrupted for no reason. It would be great if the very few dogs were able to use the hotels shaded areas again. BE KIND!

A budget hotel in a great location on the beach with a swimming pool. Nearby are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with a balcony. Shower was good and always plenty of hot water. We stayed here prior to our return flight S handy for Colombo Airport. Read less

No fridge which is not great in 32 degree heat. However there was water coolers available.

1. Hotel J’s staff is excellent. The staff is as good as any at a five star hotel 2. Hotel J swimming pool is bathtub temperature and clean. 3. The ground are nice green grass with beach lounge chairs 4. The property is on a nice walkable beach 5. Hotel J is on a making drag where you can walk to shops and restaurants. 6. Ate breakfast, Lunch and Supper all of which were good

This is an older place and not fancy but all else makes up for it

This was a last minute booking made literally on the day we turned up for just 1 night. The room was clean and comfortable with a huge bed and lovely hot double shower. We managed to arrange a 2nd room in the budget part of the hotel for the next day as we were flying out late that evening and just needed somewhere to store our bags during the day, and use a shower before heading to the airport. The staff were accommodating enough to sort this for a cheap rate for us which was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed by the pool the entire day as it was our last chill day before flying home. The pool area was lovely and clean and green, the pool was refreshing and nice and big enough to swim up and down. Sunloungers had nice thick mats on them and there were even pool towels to borrow which was great for us so as not to use our already packed towels. The location of the hotel was just off one of the main roads close to restaurants and bars. Enjoyed our quick stop over and would recommend for anyone needing more than one night.

I went with my partner for a day. We had a great time and good was nice. Service was okay. The Manager was very friendly and he attended for every single request we make. Nice place to visit for a short break.

Well i would say reception attitude should be improved a lot. I am being a hotelier i would never use the word call NO

The bed is very comfortable and the shower is good. Our first night was cold because we could not turn the very efficient air conditioner off. We spoke to the manager and he gave us a blanket which made a big difference and also fixed the air conditioner remote ( I think we were trying to use the remote from a distance and needed to get much closer- so our fault) . There are no tea or coffee facilities but we bought some and the manager have us a kettle, cups etc. There is no fridge in the room but we used the managers for our milk. Water is not supplied but you buy a bottle and then refill it. The breakfast was very good. This is a budget hotel but very comfortable and the manager very helpful. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and inviting! Beautiful view of the beach.

Lack of basic supplies to make tea or coffee and no fridge.

Adequate for short stay. Staff kind and helpful. Breakfast included fruit platter consisting pineapple, papaw, watermelon and banana. Then 3 small pol rotis with fish curry and 4 slices of toast and jam and a pot of tea. I could not east all of it but shared it with my guest.Thank you.😄

Room was adequate and overlooking the ocean.

I loved everything about the hotel. The theme was so nice. The pool is not so big but clean and nice. The garden area was also clean and had a good view of the sea. The room has everything you'll need, decent bathroom facilities, with hot water in good working condition. The bed was so comfy. There is a working desk in the room and the balcony had a great view and chairs to sit and relax. The WiFi connection was great. The staffs were so friendly. The food was top notch and very reasonable for the price. So nearby the beach, you can visit and come back easily.
