The hotel is right on Negombo beach , It’s great for a night or two despite the price. The restaurant has a fantastic buffet Food is plenty and delicious . It has nice refurbished rooms with balconies , Two great swimming pools and a pleasant setting But avoid weekends when locals literally invade the premises and goes into the swimming pools fully dressed in family , that’s the bad side of this hotel when you want to have a quiet break after a tour of Sri Lanka . Also the checking can be long and painful when groups arrive at the same time.

Checking in can be long and fastidious . You can only get the rooms around 2pm if the hotel is full. Swimming pools can be packed with locals on the weekends , on those days it gets very busy and very noisy and it will make your stay unpleasant.

Very nicely located hotel. Two swimming pools. On the beach front. I got free upgrade from old part of hotel to new one. Also I got free early check-in. I was moving from previous very bad hotel. So Camelot really saved me. Room was nice and big, with sea view. Also hotel restaurant is not overpriced and food was very good. And what about breakfast? Breakfast was absolutely the best for my whole 3 weeks stay in Sri Lanka.

Air-conditioning wasn't really working well and was quite hot in the room. There was kind of smell in the room. And wasn't able to fix it. When you are sitting near the pool which is closer to the beach, you are constantly approach by local beach sellers and you cannot really rest. Just walking there is triggering them. So I recommend to stay in the pool near dining area.

Beautifully situated on the beach with safe swimming pools, restaurant and kind staff. Clean. Comfortable beds. Airport transfers easily organised and promptly done. Staff very calm and respectful when dealing with upset customers.

There appears to be a level of disorganisation. On check in I asked if I would need to change rooms for my second night which was after family left, so I was solo. I was told ‘No’. But the next day I was locked out of my room, then asked several times if I was staying and finally told I had to move rooms or pay more. New room had very noisy and early air con. After several staff telling me it was normal, a maintenance man turned up, cleaned the filters and it was much improved. Wifi slow and almost unusable.

Hotel is right on the beach, with a very relaxing garden. The 2 pools have lots of beds and the coconut trees give a very relaxed feeling. The bar serves delicious meals all day too. Breakfast is fantastic - amazing selection in a beautiful lounge, facing the sea. Rooms are large, clean and with lovely balconies. Staff are so helpful and friendly too - they were fantastic! There is also a spa - I loved having a massage there. There are lots of shops and restaurants to walk to as well. Loved our time here and would recommend it as a great experience and so handy for the airport.

Wifi in room was quite weak - although strong elsewhere. It would be good to have refillable toiletries rather than small plastic bottles, to save plastic use.

The staff were fantastic. On our last day my wife found she had a problem with her back. We were very concerned about getting home because we didn't know if she would be able to fly. The staff all did everything they could to help and to make her more comfortable. They helped with our insurer, they arranged a doctor to visit the hotel, they moved our room to one on the ground floor, they helped me to support her walking.... They are all really genuine caring people. The hotel is comfortable, beds are comfortable, the food is amazing. I really have nothing critical to say about this place. I look forward to visiting in the future.

There is nothing not to like.

Camelot was the perfect place to recover from the 30 hours of flights from USA via Qatar for a couple of days before my work in Colombo. The hotel location and grounds were beautiful, right on the beach, with large grounds and 3 pools surrounding a central bar. Lots of different sitting and lounging areas for added levels of privacy. Beautiful landscaping with mature tropical foiliage and trees. When lit up at night it was a wonderland. Extra bonus was a full moon, lighting up the beach and ocean. My room (a king deluxe) had balcony with view of the grounds and beach behind. Breakfast room also adjacent to the pool. Also had a local vibe on weekend with Sri Lanka families there.

The water in shower was not hot enough for my taste. I was fine with no elevators, but others with mobility issues would have problems if they stayed on upper floors. Even moving from ground-level reception to the ground floor newer wing required steps up and down. The hotel is showing its age a bit, but good value for money.

Well located close to shops and cafes. Very friendly and accommodating staff who couldn’t do enough to attend to our needs. We had 2 rooms and one of them had a great view over the pool area and the beach. The rooms are quite large and the bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent as were the other meals we had at the hotel.

The design of the shower recess in the bathroom almost guarantees that the entire bathroom gets wet when you have a shower. The room occupied by my son and his girlfriend had an issue with condensation. They were leaving the next morning on a tour so we didn’t bother changing rooms.

Staff- Super friendly and always ready help Food - Not alot of options in the buffet, but what was available was really tasty. Specially the desert selection was great. Pool - Pool staff was very helpful. Pool was a great place spend time. Out of 2 pools, the one closer to beach was my favorite place.

AC was making a noise throughout the night and leaking water into the bathroom. There isn't an elevator in the hotel The restaurant is way too hot in the afternoon.

Booked half board option which was very good value. Food great, good selection of local and international. Outside pool area well maintained. Fabulous massage at Spa. Comfortable beds, good aircon

Whilst every member of staff was genuinely pleasant and helpful, getting a drink at the bar or water at the table was painful! Just seemed to take forever and if not ordering a beer, then took twice as long 😟

When I first arrived, I felt immediately taken care of by the wonderful staff (Dulakshami and Supun in particular) and was taken aback by how beautiful the property was. There are 2 large pools, 1 that faces the ocean and 1 that is closer to the restaurant. When my friend and I went down to the breakfast buffet, we couldn't believe how huge, delicious, and beautiful it was. I have been to some really fantastic buffets all over the world, but this was the best 1 that I have ever been to. The location of this hotel is excellent too, with it being a very short walk to many places.
