We had a very pleasant stay at NIVADOO. The room is clean, a bit on the small side but very cozy. The air conditioning works well. The bathroom was clean but the shower cabin could use some updating. The pool was large and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us to arrange a transfer. We would recommend this location. The road to the hotel is about a hundred meters unpaved. If you want to visit Sigirya you will have to take a tuk tuk. A nice tip to eat outside the hotel is 'Big Bites', a small restaurant around the corner with delicious Sri Lankan dishes.

We had a fantastic stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone was so warm-hearted and truly did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were clean and nice (and compared to other places we stayed at in Sri Lanka, the cleanliness here was absolutely outstanding). The whole resort is very well maintained, and we felt super safe and completely at ease throughout our stay. Anytime we needed something – whether it was new towels or a taxi – the team was there to help right away. They also gave us great advice for day trips and organised drivers for us. We also really enjoyed the food – breakfast was tasty and fresh, and we had dinner at the resort several times, which was always delicious with great service.

The only small downside was the Wi-Fi, which didn’t work well at first. However, the staff reacted immediately and brought us a separate router for our room – after that, it worked.

We have just finished an awesome stay at Nivadoo as part of our two week honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Just for context we are a 31 M and 30 F, this resort was perfect for exploring the ancient cities. We visited Sigriya, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla Caves/Temple from here and it was an awesome place to relax after a day doing stuff. The service was amazing, the team were so so lovely and it had abit of a family feel to the whole stay. I would definitely advise getting all 3 meals included, we found this to be excellent value for money and although there are some local restaurants Nivadoo is in a rural location.

I think it’s worth saying this resort is probably not for those looking for a “party” vibe. It’s also not a high end luxury resort although everything was clean, modern and we had everything we wanted. It’s not a criticism at all we had an incredible stay and would recommend 😊

The individual room units are great and ours was a large family unit and very relaxing. The pool area was quiet and the kids loved the good-sized pool (and lizards/geckos running about). We ate several times in the restaurant and all meals were of good quality and a reasonable price. Breakfast was great. Great location for Sigiriya sights/elephant safari etc, easy access for our driver to collect us. Would stay again.

Minor comment - there were often loud bangs from firecrackers being thrown near the edge of the property...not sure why! Driver accom would be helpful.

This was our first stay in Sri Lanka and it was perfect! The staff were very friendly and helpful, a lovely welcome to our picture perfect large room, they arranged tuk-tuks & to near by Sigiriya Rock & Pidurangala Rock, plus other transport when needed, they are attentive hosts with food and drink orders, etc. The breakfast was lovely with freshly cooked omelettes, fresh fruit, and curries available. They would also be kind enough to ask how hot you like you other dishes so they are to your taste (we were ambitious first time, ha!). Very peaceful, it felt like we had the place to ourselves! Highly recommend. THANKS YOU!!

Nothing! Apart from when they sent the kittens to their new home and I couldn't play with them!

It is a clean and, well maintained property with differently styled rooms. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed being in the pool. The breakfast was tasty. The buffet dinner was also quite decent. They organised a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve with barbecue and yummy desserts.

The food and drink was slightly overpriced as compared to other places in Srilanka still wasn't too expensive. The place is around 8kms from Piduranagala and around 5 kms from Sigiriya rock so if you need to go for a sunrise trek be sure to arrange for a TukTuk to drop and pick up

Travelling as a Family with 3 Kids (5 years, 3 years and 8 months) the hotel was great. Location is just 10 minutes Drive to Sigiriya rock. The room (Deluxe Family room) was realy big, clean and had everything we needed. Staff asks you when you want to have room Service. The Pools were great for the Kids. The breakfast and Dinner buffet where ok, a mixture of Sri Lankan and touristic, Western style. The staff was very nice. Wi-Fi did not work well in the room. All over a nice hotel.

An absolute gem. A beautiful and welcoming reception and restaurant. A large pool and a splash pool set in a beautifleafy garden. The eco dome rooms were stunning and spacious. Such an interesting experience. We had a double and single bed with private bathroom and had more than enough room. The complimentary breakfast was buffet style and delicious with choices of egg, noodles, fruit and juices. The staff alcannot do enough for you, and the lovely lady at reception gave us valuable information about visiting Lion Rock. I can't recommend thus place enough

You need to take your card key when you leave and then you can't charge phones while you are away. The door locks automatically.

Our stay at the Nivadoo Resort was incredible. The service was super kind the whole time. Good and fast laundry service as well. The food was very good, both during dinner and breakfast. The bungalows are nice and they are spaced enough to enjoy really quiet nights. The rooms are nice and the AC works very well. You should try the guayaba/strawberry juice! It is amazing!

As a minor comment, the bathrooms could be reworked a bit, as they look a bit old already, with some imperfections (tiles missing, small holes here and there at the wall,...), but this did not affect our experience in any case.

The hotel is located in a lovely location ,5 minutes drive to SIGIRIYA lion rock . The safari chalet has all the facilities such as TV, air conditioner, mini bar ,attached bathroom. The staff there are incredibly nice and attentive. Will come again for sure in our next trip.
