At the edge of the jungle, monkeys visited and an elephant walked by during our stay as well as peacocks and tree squirrels. The food was delicious and the owner Ruhan and his family made our visit first class arranging excursions and a safari jeep. I wished we could have stayed longer there was so much still to see. The highlight was the dawn trip to lion rock to see the sunrise. Ruhan and his brother drove us in two tuks tuks at dawn and waited for us to climb up and enjoy this magical experience before driving us back for a delicious breakfast. Both rooms have ac and were large. The brand new pool was fab too.

Nothing to complain about I was dreading jungle insects but we didn’t even get buzzed by mozzies, no sign of any bugs apart from ants so I was delighted.

Ruwan, the gracious and welcoming host, made my stay truly memorable. I opted for his property through booking.com, and from the moment I arrived, his hospitality was evident. Ruwan personally picked me up from the railway station, and upon reaching the property, I was greeted with a delectable dinner. The following morning, we embarked on an early adventure to Pithurlanga Rock to witness the breathtaking sunrise – an experience that ranks among the best sunrises I've ever seen. Subsequently, Ruwan guided me to the renowned Sigiriya Lion Rock. The morning's exertions were perfectly rejuvenated with an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by his wife. Our journey continued as we explored the Damulla Cave Temple in his comfortable car, creating lasting memories before bidding farewell later in the day. Ruwan's humility, coupled with the warmth of his lovely family, transformed this homestay into an exceptional haven for anyone exploring the central province of Sri Lanka. What's more, the incredible experiences came at an unbelievably reasonable price. Highly recommended for a delightful and affordable stay!

We had a really good time here and Ruwan and his wife have been super friendly and helpful with everything. The Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner were amazing! The location was quiet and in nature what we really enjoyed, by motorbike it’s easy to come to the city or Ruwan can organize a transport. The room was simple but comfy. Would absolutely recommend!

We didn’t had an ac so it was pretty hot in the night time but they also have one room with ac and the positive things preponderate.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was big and very clean. It is in the middle of the jungle so its very green. We ate breakfast and dinner there every day and it was always absolutely amazing. But the highlight was the family. They were so friendly and always smiling. They took so much care of us and speak very good english. The Owner drove us several times for a good price. He is a save driver and his car was always very clean. We can absolutely recommend this place!

This homestay is located near a jungle.The environment was calm and serene. They served us with the best Sri Lankan food we had in our entire trip. Ruwan and his wife offered us great hospitality and warmth. Overall, if you are looking for a cost-effective yet amazing long-term or even short-term stay in Sigiriya you must consider them.

The mosquito nets should be cleaned or replaced.

We had an amazing stay at Mango garden, the family there were absolutely lovely and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The home cooked meals (breakfast and dinner) was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. Amazing value for money with beautiful hosts. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

i loved everything about this place. Ruwan and his family took such great care of me, that I felt like I was part of the family. The food they cook is also traditional Sri Lankan food and it was amazing! They can arrange everything for you from tours to transportation. You are also in the middle of nature, so it is relaxing and beautiful! I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Sri Lanka.

It was beautifully situated in a part of Sigiriya surrounded by forest. All we could hear were animals, and Ruwan and his family who run it were lovely and wonderfully helpful! I would definitely recommend a stay here!

We spent two nights here. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very delicious. The hot water functioned perfectly. There were a few ants in the bathroom due to the natural surroundings. It was also a bit hot during the night - we expected it.
