An unexpected gem. Good location, STUNNING View! The staff made you feel like home; helped with planning our days. Did everything they could to make us comfortable. The hotel was clean, and really well laid out. Yes it’s a 2 star but honestly, it was one of the best from our trip. We were worried about the temperature in our room as it was hot in Locarno but the host of the property assured us that the height at which the hotel was would make us comfortable and they were right. No need for a/c in July, I woke up and wore a hoodie cos I was cold. The breakfast is good, the property is inviting and clean, the staff are amazing! Nothing bad to say!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very nice, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. One of the highlights was the stunning view from our window overlooking the river – absolutely beautiful. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast served at the hotel. Communication with the owner was excellent, and everyone we met was incredibly kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay!

We stayed at this property for 3days and it was a comfortable experience with a beautiful view that really helps you relax. The place was clean and the staff was not only very friendly but also helpful in providing tips on where to go. The property is perfect and close to beautiful spots for nature and hiking. Whenever I needed something, they were very efficient.

I like the property in general.

Don't be afraid of a two-star hotel! Excellent location for exploring the Verzasca valley with a bus stop in front of the hotel and the possibility to take the free bus. Locarno and Ascona are close. The hotel has free parking. The staff was nice and friendly, especially Simone, always in a good mood, he helped us plan routes around the area.

Too soft mattresses

Very nice Hotel, the Bus Station is just in front of the hotel and this is great to check Verzasca (and for free!). Besides that Madame Yvonne is very kind, always with a big smile and helping us, giving us all ideas of Programs, were to go and so on. Under the Hotel there is a Restaurant with the funny and nice Italian guy Domenico & his crew, the atmosphere is nice and you think that you are in Italy, also with Italian Music going on. Thanks for all!

I loved everything, maybe the problem was with me? But for me the bed was too soft, the blanket too thick, also the pillow :-) - But as I said, difficult to say because everyone has his own idea and taste :-)

We loved the amazing view, the room was spacious and spotless, breakfast was delicious, and we had dinner in the evening - it was superb! The location is great - the bus stop is right next to the hotel, and it's only a 10-minute drive by car from Locarno. The staff is very kind and friendly, and we were able to check in earlier (at 13:00) at no cost!

Great location near the bus stop, with beautiful views! Very modern, clean, high quality facilities. Simone went above and beyond to accommodate us and was very helpful in coordinating our daily excursions. To top it off breakfast was GREAT!!

The friendly atmosphere and the willingness to help is great. I had to change from early arrival to late arriv and they were very accommodating which made it easier for me. Thanks to Simo and the team

Nothing… all was good

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, the location ideal for exploring the Valle Verzasca or going to Locarno, the rooms were comfortable and had a lot of character and it is helpfully attached to a very good restaurant!

Definitely not the hotel's problem, but I'd advise summer visitors to bring mosquito repellent!

If you plan to travel in Valle Verzasca (Verzasca Valley), Hotel Pizzo Vogorno should definitely be your base. It is located next to the picturesque village of Vogorno. Famous Ponte dei salti is a few minutes' drive away, and LaFroda's waterfall is half an hour's drive away. But you also have a free bus connection at your disposal, which is a more harmless option than using your own car. The road is narrow and there is quite a lot of traffic. Rooms at Pizzo Vogorno are quiet, although the hotel also has a restaurant. The rooms are cozy and have everything you need (after all, you're not staying in a hotel room, you're just going there to rest.) The food in the hotel's restaurant is excellent. Wifi is good. However, the biggest attraction of Pizzo Vogorno is its staff, who are super helpful, super nice and super cheerful. Pizzo Vogorno is a must.
