Location, cleanliness and breakfast buffet.

Parking was advertised as available via hotel when reservation was made. When we arrived for check in , we were advised that its management had been outsourced and was a public car space. The rates were not advertised or updated on website. The concierge at check in was extremely disengaged and not welcoming at all. I don’t even think they would care if reading this feedback, attitude can’t be taught… However, David and Norman were very helpful and positive which elevated the experience from staff rating on our feedback. Everyone else was friendly also but our first nights experience did not leave a good first impression. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Good breakfast, although service leaves room for improvement. Rooms are large compared to Swiss standard and prices are decent.

Italian restaurant in the hotel is not on the same level with the hotel itself. I had a traditional Italian meat course (Tagliata di Manzo, ca. 40 CHF) and the quality of the meat was very low. The hotel is nicely located except if you try to reach it with a car. All the streets around the location are one way and the only access to these streets was blocked by a road construction work during the weekend. I watched several taxi drivers try to find an alternative route to the hotel, some eventually succeeded and just gave up and never arrived. Tip for the next time: do not drive in Lausanne, its not applicable for cars.

The staff were lovely and very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and it was great to have an iron and ironing board and a kettle! The location was great but please be aware of the stairs you have to climb to get to the hotel. Fine for us but not for all. You can get a taxi however but it’s really not far from the railway station. Public transport links were excellent.

The air con!!! Grrrr! It was hot (visited in July) and air con would not go lower than 20C! Too hot to sleep. The bathroom with just slatted wood blinds, not for us! Min privacy which even for as a couple is a necessity.

This is an excellent hotel not very far from Lausanne's main train station but on a pedestrian road so you don't really notice you are 2 minutes to the station. The hotel gave us a modern and spacious bedroom and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was nice. The hotel has 2 restaurants (Italian and Thai) so you can eat there if it is raining outside (as it did quite a few times during our stay :( The staff at the hotel are very polite and they always welcome you with a smile (especially David).

I believe that hotels like this one should serve *fresh* orange juice with breakfast. That was a small minus. Also, they have this "Consommation Obligatoire" sign on the nice couches near the 2 restaurants where you can relax or do some work etc. I am not sure if they really enforce it, they did not bother with my "No" answer a few times, but I was not happy to see the sign.

Beautiful circular building, lobby is impressive with fauna and decor. The rooms were modern style very appealing to the eye and provided a fantastic nights sleep. We had an inward facing room and the view over the outdoor seating area was brilliant. The hotel itself is a short (but steep!) walk from the main Lausanne train station (which is also just across the road from the metro entrance, a funicular railway that spans from the bottom, lake side Ouchy- Olympique all the way up some 700m Croisettes). Therefore a very accessible hotel from public transport, but caution to those short of breath. Very kind and helpful staff, also. I was sad to only be staying one night! Would highly recommend to others.

We had a room on the fifth floor, the main (and beautiful) glass elevator took us as far as the third floor where we had to follow signs to the next elevator that would take us higher. Not an issue but managed to confuse us on our first walk through, I suppose to be expected from such a large building!

Well located hotel 5 min away from the train station and metro line 2 (but you have to walk up and it is steep, especially with luggage - you can also take a cab from somewhere else as the pedestrian street also accepts cars at reduced speeds). Rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Great also we had our room early (12pm) which was much appreciated. The patio area has a lot of sitting and plugs, you can sit there for free (as a guest) or enjoy a quiet afternoon with a view over the semi tropical garden. Definitely give it a try.

I wish the hotel had a real lobby where you can sit and have a drink. Instead, you have to walk to the patio area (which is very near, fortunately). The corridors are a bit utilitarian and the furniture in general feels a bit too modern and woody for me. The couches in the room and in the patio area could be of more luxurious feel. The hotel can give you late checkout but at the cost of 30 CHF an hour. Don't know what to think about that one.

Very nice design - love the open bathroom/room design, plants throughout the hotel, short walking distance to the train station. Lovely room setup and design.

Bed was ok, pillows were too soft. No coffee machine in the room -only kettle with instant coffee. Mini bar in the room is not filled. No drinks available after 11pm. Coffee at 5eur from a machine is a bit expensive in the morning considering no real coffee in the room. Location is very good and the vibe, although the room was a bit noisy.

The hotel was in a very good location & they allowed early check-in. The breakfast spread was commendable. Being able to cook my own perfect soft-boiled eggs was such a delight! Resto staff were buzzing, yet very warm.

A complimentary bottle of drinking water would've been nice. Shampoo & soap were not replenished on our 2nd night. Our top floor windows opened to the street below & young rowdy people on their way home from a night out woke us up at 4 am - on both nights that we booked. For those traveling by train with heavy luggage, opt for a taxi ride to & from the hotel because of the steep inclination of cobblestones leading to the hotel entrance.

There are a few aspects that left me feeling somewhat disappointed during my stay. One notable issue was the inconsistency regarding room views. Despite the description suggesting terrace views for all rooms, some were unfortunately lacking this feature. This discrepancy between expectation and reality was disappointing, especially for those who had specifically chosen the hotel for its promised scenic vistas. Another aspect that detracted from the overall experience was the lack of privacy in the showers. The design of the bathrooms seemed to prioritize aesthetics over functionality, with limited partitioning or soundproofing. This lack of privacy may prove uncomfortable for guests who value discretion and seclusion.

Lovely, modern, spacious hotel in a great location for the station, Metro and restaurants. Staff were excellent, especially Jolivia and Christophe who helped our large group with charm and efficiency.

We had quite a small twin room at the outset, but we managed to change without any fuss. Bar service was good, but was possibly a little slow/relaxed for the size of our group.
