Location, beautiful logcabins, awesome dogs. There was a.coffee machine and kettle in the corridor which wasn't there the last time we were at the lodge, this was very nice to have. The staff doing the snow shoe walk with us tried their best to speak English and we were able to understand each other. They were super friendly and work so well with the huskies. The staff picked us up at the nearest bus stop which helped a lot so that we didn't have to walk from town with our suitcases.

No English translation of any of the guest information or menu. If we wanted to do the sledding with the huskies which we did 9 years ago at the same location, we would have to spend a huge amount on a required translator as we didn't speak or understand a lot of German. Our last two days we were the only guests at the lodge and we didn't have the variety of the breakfast buffet we had the previous days when there were more guests. Another mirror in the room would be nice outside of the bathroom.

The restaurant food was very good, great variety, freshness. The breakfast spread was really good too. The entire team was really friendly and helpful. The hotel layout (different huts) is special and cosy. The location is easy to get to, most of the time a very quiet place. (with exception to the Huskies waking up or feeding time around 5am and 5pm :) :) :) - our hut was very close to the kennels). We stayed 3 nights, we had dinner at the restaurant hotel every night. Dinner started to be served early, around 5:30, which was perfect when traveling with a 4 year old.

Travelling with a 4 year old / winter time, it would have been useful if there was an indoor room/area where the children could play, aside from the accomodation itself. It was possible to do it in the hut, they even provided a set of different board games in the room, but after a while the novelty disappears. :) :) :). This is just a suggestion and not a criticism but there is no other place where to write it.

Can't say enough good things about the singles room experience. Sleek, modern design in a cozy cottage town with an automated sun-roof for stargazing right above the bed. Also comes with saunas with indoor/outdoor rest areas. You can really tell this place was built very recently! The husky tours are also a must-see if you're staying here, if you've come this far to the far corner of Muotathal you're probably here for the dogs too :)

Hard to reach! It's in the far eastern corner of Muotathal, where only the 506 bus goes and only every 30min, so if not coming by car can be quite a trek on its own

Peaceful, clean bungalows in the middle of nature, conditions are very good. The beds are very large and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. Shared bathroom but the room has its own toilet.as It also includes various play areas for children and adults.

Fantastic Hunting lodge setting with beautiful wilderness surroundings. Huskies are beautiful. Breakfast was exceptional. Met my families needs and then some. will definitely be returning in future years.

Very friendly staff, amazing experience overall. Room amenities and decoration very cozy, fantastic sauna and shower.

Bed too soft, and the breakfast offered does no match the level of the place.

Really cosy place - clean rooms, good food. We really enjoyed our stay. Location is perfect and the place has climat.

I wish the facilities were better described in booking f.ex. Sauna and the rules of using it.

The Staff were lovely. The Bungalow with private sauna was top class. The Husky area with Lucia guiding was great.

The quantity of flies was less nice.

HIGHLY recommend Huttenhotel Husky Lodge. My 15 year old and I spent 2 nights there and took the dog sledding tour. What a fantastic experience! We had an opportunity to get the know the dogs, watch them be fed and we were able to harness them ourselves and load them into their kennel for the trip to the dog sledding trails. They were a ton of fun! The food was the MOST DELICIOUS food we had and we had great food in Switzerland. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Room was typical of a Swiss hotel and was clean and modern. Shower was super easy and very new. The staff was first rate and the dog trainers obviously love what they do and are completely committed to their work and to make sure that everyone is having enjoying themselves and staying safe. There is a bit of a walk from the bus stop to the hotel but we made it in no time. Give yourself 20 minutes when you are heading back to the bus stop.

We didn't like that we had to leave!

Clean and comfy rooms, we booked a sledging tour with the huskies and loved it ! Good guidance by the team for beginners like us.
