Very nice hotel, very close to the lake. We requested a quiet room and got one on the 4th floor with a stunning view. It was end of April and the mountains were still covered by snow. We have got a parking place for 10CHF. Breakfast was very good (Prosecco, 2 types of non-dairy milks, very good coffee, a few types of bread, ham and cheese, fresh croissants). Brunnen is a small cozy city with many nice restaurants around the hotel. A couple of tips: boat trip on Luzern lake or hike in the mountains. Very famous mountain resort Stoos and Mythen region are very close by.

It would be nice to clean the sink in the room 403.

Hotel was very clean, linens were lovely, tap water was amazing, shower head felt like a massage with the amazingly hot water. Maria was very helpful and extremely nice. All the staff were.

I did not enjoy having down pillows as the only option as they get way too flat for me and the room was a bit stuffy. We opened the bathroom window over night and it helped with that the second night. Beds were too soft for me personally so i did not get great sleep but I’m sure others might prefer them that way. Relatively minor things overall though.

Very nice hotel, cozy. Balcony and view is superb. Super kind staff, we arrived late, everything was organized with welcome messages, etc. Room was small, but sufficient. Breakfast was ok, prosecco available as cherry on the cake. Walking distance to bars, public transport, cable car for hiking.

Perhaps a small coffee machine in room would make the stay better - to enjoy the amazing views with morning coffee from the balcony.

Main Hotel Schmid (with green shutters in photo above) was being renovated outside so no lake views available. We were put into a separate hotel building which is the white building in the photo above to the right of Hotel Schmid. Great views. Nice receptionist gave us all the info we needed.

Separate Hotel Alfa building is not manned by any hotel resources and breakfast is in the main hotel Schmid. Breakfast was basic but coffee was good.

Accommodating of 4 people in 1 apartment for the same price as 3 people. The View was Spectacular. The Staff were very kind, and heated up food for us that we purchased outside. They said they cannot Provide a Table Fan, but they did. Very sweet of them.

The lock of the Bathroom Door was spoilt and not working. Either I got myself locked 🔒 in or had to use the washroom with fear 😰 of the next person entering, accidentally. But they said they will set it right after we leave. No Exhaust Fan in the Bathroom, to let vapor or bad odor out. if u kept windows of Bathroom open in the evening, mosquitoes 🦟 would enter. only 1 way out was to keep bathroom windows open (for aeration ) with to turn lights off.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were always very cordial, especially for breakfasts in the morning. The room was fantastic, very clean and modern. I had a view to the lake and the mountains. It was just breath taking! I will gladly come back to this hotel again!

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like with the hotel. It was absolutely a wonderful place that I would come back to again. I cannot sing this hotel's praises enough. It was a great location and a great hotel.

The view out our room was FANTASTIC! Fantastic hotel and staff! I arrived downstairs well before opening and the staff was great. We lost our luggage and talked to several caring people that tried to help. Breakfast was very good. Greta small town with access to everything via train. Mount Stoos was nearby and and even better view at Fronalpsrock was even better than in Brunnen and both are amazing.

We had a very loud heckler, likely drunk very noisy at 3-5 am. The weather was perfect so we had the windows open. To not to close the window so we tried turning up the fan. Out of hotels control as not sure if down on street or someone staying in the hotel. Would absolutely stay again though!

Wonderful location with a lake and mountain view. A lot of restaurants nearby to enjoy the view. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Paid parking is about 100m from the hotel (10 CH)

I was misled by the pictures attached to our room (Standard Double Room with Lake View) - there was a big window, in some pictures I could also see a balcony. In reality our room had just a small window in the building roof. It was a disappointment for us because I specifically searched for a good view and the pictures did not match the reality.

Overall the hotel is ok but a little dated but today’s standards especially in view of the price paid. The view was as expected of the lake. Breakfast was standard. It was good but not exceptional when compared to other places at this price.

Rooms need a bit of a refresh. The floor boards in the rooms squeaked quite considerably which woke my partner when I went to the bathroom during the night.

Amazing location with beautiful lake view. Attentive and friendly staff. Clean & cozy rooms.

Breakfast could be a bit more various; feels a bit instant; cold meat, cheese, jam ;-( hot meal would be awesome e.g. sausages and scrambled eggs.
