Although we booked a standard room we thought it was stunning. It was large and very well designed with a stylish bathroom, the bath being a feature of the room. There was a large desk and a comfy sitting area. We were not expecting such a great room! The pool was fantastic- fortunately we went in when there was only one other couple in, so probably with lots of kids it would not be so enjoyable, but we really enjoyed the jets and giant tap, and sauna. The restaurant was very good - traditional with very tasty vegetarian food and great beer. We would definitely stay here again. It felt very much like a friendly family run hotel.

Only a small point - there was a parking charge which seemed a bit mean when the only parking was across the road

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at breakfast. I arrived five minutes before closing time, yet the staff immediately started clearing the food in front of me. When I asked for eggs, I was told there were none left. I then asked for milk to add to my cereal, and the staff rudely refused, saying that breakfast time was over — even though I was already at the buffet. The restaurant staff member was unhelpful and unpleasant, and I had to use hot milk from the coffee machine just to eat something.

The good reviews for this hotel truly reflect what my family and I experienced! We spent one night there in the main hotel with three double rooms, and from the start to our check out on Sunday, it was a delight. The location of this hotel and the views from the rooms, whether to the lake or the meadows, are lovely. The views from the dining area are spectacular! The rooms are kept very clean and there's a kettle with tea bags in each room. Since we were there on the Easter weekend, we made a reservation for our dinner. It took longer than expected to come (it was busy) but the food was very delicious. Our family, with a toddler, made a short walk to a lovely nearby viewpoint with picnic facilities. There is also a really beautiful church just minutes from the hotel. A highlight for our family was the journey there. We took the train from Zurich, then a bus to the lake and the wonderful steamer boat to the cable car station. For children, it is a great experience!

Everything went well! Just for information, I had initially booked one single room but on contacting the staff prior to our trip, was told it was in the adjoining building. Make sure which building your booking is at is my advice. I was able to easily upgrade to a double room in the main hotel to be with the rest of the family. The staff also made sure my family had all three rooms really close to each other, which was so helpful with the toddler.

The location is stunning, its easy to find and park. Breakfast was good, and the check out relaxed. We loved the decoration in the common areas, The view while eating breakfast is exceptional,

We checked in on a Monday night, so used an access code to get in. That went well, but the room was incredibly hot, and we could see no way to adjust the temperature downward, other than opening the window. The room was missing the remote control for the TV, and the light in the bathroom confused us. You press a button, and a fan comes on, the light only follows several moments later

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here above the beautiful lake. It is a little in the middle of nowhere to get to, but it is worth it for the scenery. We stayed here on our last night in Switzerland because it is only 1hr 15min to the airport. Our room had a great balcony with an incredible view. The room was tidy and I appreciated that they had a bathtub and a blow dryer in the bathroom. We ate downstairs that night and the food was very good and the server was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was spot on and had a view to go with it. We didn't have enough time to enjoy the outdoor seating but I am sure it is great!

Our room was spacey and comfortable and the view from the balcony was stunning. The breakfast was plentiful. We had dinner at the restaurant and were served an excellent Swiss white wine (at that price was better be good though).

The room was too hot (no airco). Wekept the balcony door open until the thunderstorm started banging it but had to open it again afterwards as the room got again too hot to sleep. Unfortunately the place was not as quiet as it looked: traffic was noisy and cars and busses speeded uphill on the road hardly 20m from our balcony, the nearby churchbell hit every 15 minutes, tree logging and roadworks completed the symphony. Needless to say,we didn't get much sleep. The restaurant was too expensive for the basic quality offered. The beautiful sunny terrace was infested by wasps so we had to have breakfast inside.

The location and views are stunning! We requested a corner room with balcony and view and we were glad we did! The view is breathtakingly! We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking at the beautiful view! The room was clean, comfortable and bright. The breakfast was nice including eggs, fruit, cereals, meats, cheese and a variety of juices, coffee and milks. The staff are also very friendly and speak English.

The restaurant was beautiful and the staff very friendly. However, the beef stroganoff wasn’t very good. It needs to be removed from the menu.

The location is amazing. The view from the balcony if you take a room with lake view is taking your breath away. The room is very clean,is big and the bed is comfortable. The view from the restaurant is very beautiful and breakfast is very good.

The hotel is quite outdated. The bathroom is small and old fashion.In the room is no refrigerator.The furniture in the room is very plain and unattractive.Is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star location.

The breakfast was very good. We also had dinner in the restaurant at the property and it was excellent! The location was difficult as it was listed on Booking near Luzern, but was a significant distance away, in a small village, and difficult to find. However, the village was quite charming and the view from the terrace was wonderful; although, we got a street view in the room not the lake view we expected.

Looking at the property on-line, we thought we would be getting a lake view, but instead we got a street view. For the price, the room was very "spartan;" it had the necessities, but little else. The hotel we stayed at next in Lausanne was cheaper and much nicer.

The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The balcony offered a beautiful view, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you are a nature lover, this is a perfect location. The restaurant also had a wonderful view, which added to the overall experience.

The only downside was that the bathroom was quite small, which made taking a shower a bit uncomfortable
