The hotel is located in the quiet charming village of Emmetten. Our room was large, quiet & dark at night and light & bright by day. The bed was very comfortable ensuring we had great sleep. The decor is clean & neat. We had a good view of the mountain from our window. Reception staff were friendly & check in & out was efficient. We enjoyed a nice three course meal in the restaurant and a walk up through the village to take in the views of the sun setting over the lake. This hotel is within a two minute walk to a cable car & the village grocery shop.

The inclusion of a kettle and a mini fridge in the room would enhance the experience even more.

Good standard of room, good breakfast, close to highway so great for a short break of a journey to Italy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location for some walking/hiking with nearby views over Lake Lucerne.

Our room was facing a local road and, with the window open, our sleep was disturbed in the night. The mattress was a little firm for me.

ENGEL Hotel It is definitely one of the most well structured hospitality facilities in the area !!! Privet renovated rooms, excellent privet bathroom, very clean, the staff is of hi level of courtesy and professionalism. Safety is everywhere, the staff is of high level of trust. The hotel restaurant is also very good, with good wine, excellent local food as well international cuisine. Breakfast is also very complete, offering a full range of very high quality food. Italian Coffee is also amazing!! There is FREE Parking for Hotel guests.

The staff at the hotel was very kind and accommodating of our needs, they were super attentive and friendly. The restaurant had a good set of options for dinner. The room was super for 2 adults and a kid (could be good for 2 kids too), everything was great, we really appreciate the personal service and would definitely go back!

Breakfast was awful stale rolls and only cheese no ham, Salami, yogurt orange juice or water although a group of Americans were given it all we asked for more coffee and were told that’s waitress was not very helpful ruined our stay

The staff were very welcoming and efficient, the room, whilst basic, was very clean and was ideal for our overnight stay. The food was lovely.

First time at this hotel on our way to Italy. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lovely area. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff excellent. There is a restaurant but we didn’t eat. Parking at the hotel.

Nice calm place with beautiful view. Cable car station is just opposite.. Supermarket is a step away.. Jacqueline and her team are very friendly and sweet.. Serene atmosphere, a beautiful vilage stay

The lady at the reception was really kind and packed breakfast for us because we had to leave half an hour before it started. Room with mountain view, very beautiful

It was hot that day and I wish I had a mini fridge for cold water

As always: friendly staff, good food and they have the best cheese.

Not a big negative, but despite booking confirmation stating breakfast is from 06:00 and knowing this from previous stays, this time, upon entering the breakfast area, the staff informed that breakfast was from 07:00.
