An historical building in the central area , clean and apparently recently refurbished. despite the visible age of the interiors, everything is well kept and the efforts for keeping it at high level of cleaning and welcoming is evident. super gentle the person at the reception. Outside the area is very quiet, no traffic being practically in a pedestrian area. Private parking on the back of the hotel itself but not easy to find since to reach it it seems to enter in the pedestrian area (don’t park in the squares in the front, you have to pay, just turn around the hotel for the free park). the bed with metal structure and surrounding tents is old style but very comfortable. available coffee machine on the second floor with wide choice of coffees and tea. a nice bar with some tables welcomes you for relax and a good beer.

The hotel is ancient and the wooden structure are largely present (doors, stairs, floors,…). this makes historical but sometimes even a little noisy and the door is not perfectly isolating noises coming from the floors. The presence of the smoking room at the ground floor makes the smokers happy but the smell is going all around. luckily, restaurant and breakfast are at the first floor …

Great location in the heart of Altdorf. Close to everything, large private and safe guest parking behind the hotel.

Thin walls and creaking floors make it impossible to ignore the presence of other guests. Glad everyone was quiet and respectful!

Staff were friendly and responded quickly to messages before arriving. Room was clean & warm. Tea & coffee facilities in stairwell on each floor with no extra charge. I can recommend the classic burger with extra cheese, was very tasty.

Room was quite narrow, with little legroom between bed & wall. It is an old building with modern big beds so understandable.

Driving from UK to central Italy is tiring and unpredictable and the welcome was warm and even left a bed for the dog and a bowl, which saved me carrying up the one I travel with. I will certainly be back.

Altdorf has many one way streets and I struggled to find the car park - but once found, never forgotten!

Central location . Able to take our dog for a short walk on the edge of woodland. Nice breakfast.

Disappointed the restaurant was closed, although had a lovely meal outside William Tell pub.

it was unusually hot when we were there, not much the hotel can do but we left the windows fully open. very quiet neighborhood so no issues .

The location in town with plenty of private parking directly behind the hotel. Easy to walk anywhere in town. Gentleman who checked us in was very friendly!

a modernized room in an old style hotel. The Nespresso free coffee was perfect for the hotel guests. In all great value and to top it off a great breakfast was included.

The receptionist was very welcoming. The hotel has a very useful parking and nice breakfast that starts from 6am. The room and everything was excellent. I will be back there for sure and highly recommend it.

As always a fantastic stay - great room, super breakfast, friendly team and simply one of my favourites places to stay on the way to Italy.
