The hotel staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and invited to relax on a sofa in the reception lounge, where one of the receptionists brought us refreshing drinks while we completed our check-in. We've never experienced such a high-end and thoughtful welcome before. Our room was incredibly spacious, with two bathrooms, three balconies, and to my absolute delight—my partner had secretly arranged a romantic surprise! The staff prepared everything beautifully, including two swans made of towels and rose petals artfully scattered across the bed. It was stunning! Swimming in the lake was amazing—the hotel provided floating rings, which made it even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options, and we even spotted a boat arriving from our table by the window! Dinner was equally flavorful and satisfying. All in all, it was the ultimate luxurious experience in Vitznau. Hotel Vitznauerhof truly made our stay unforgettable.

We were so happy with our choice to stay in at Hotel Vitznauerhof on the waterfront of Lake Luzern. The property and the room were spectacular. We did not know what to expect since we had never stayed on Luzern. The balcony view of the lake was breathtaking and just perfect. The staff was really great from check in to check out. We had options for activities such as boat rides and Spa. The hotel is not only in a great waterfront location, but a two minute walk to the ferry dock, which services most of the waterfront towns from Vitznau to Lucern and the main train station at Lake Luzern. The restaurant was also very good!

Stunning views, grounds and exterior lakeside terrace. Spa area was lovely and the outdoor Gondola sauna was a nice touch. We also enjoyed delicious food at the restaurant and by the lake. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was also friendly and welcoming.

The rooms don't lean into the beautiful old style of the hotel and lack character, with basic furnishings that made it feel cold and clinical. We had a deluxe terrace room, the door of which was so close to the bed that we could barely open it. Bathroom also quite cramped, with toilet behind the door. No coffee or tea appliances in the room - instead shared appliances available in the hallway. This hotel has SO much potential to be astounding, yet the rooms and decor let it down.

Well, right from the word go at the reception, I knew I found the right place. First and foremost, the great, GREAT Staff who not just guest but accommodated every oddball request - including that for my favorite dessert of Crêpes Suzette :-D !!! The food was superb, the wine awesome and the Aperol Spritz out of this world! My room was phenomenal with a giant bathtub in which I soaked every morning! Overall, an awesome, awesome, otherworldly experience in paradise!

My stay was too short :-( ! And unfortunately, the weather cooperated only partially and scantily. But nevertheless, a superb stay!

Location was excellent for trip up to Mount Rigi and boat across the lake to Lucerne, literally next door. Hotel and outdoor area absolutely stunning, magnificent views of the lake, staff are fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Room was great , huge bathroom and so clean, there is an excellent coffee station on each floor which always had plenty of everything that you need. Excellent breakfast,lots of choice

The hotel is located in an idyllic location on Lake Lucerne. The staff were super friendly and efficient and the food was top class. It was the perfect venue for a couple of nights away from it all. The location is perfect and so easy to access via the ferry from Lucerne. There is such easy access to swim in the lake from the hotel, as well as enjoy the wonderful sunsets in the evening.

The hotel is stylish with excellent use of its older architecture; the rooms were spacious yet modern and we were delighted to have a balcony on our side view room which was advertised as 'mountain view' but gave us a partial lake view too. Vitznau town is small but has a good connection to the boats to Lucerne/Weggis and has easy to use buses. Transport is very easy. Vitznau also has a smart station for the Rigi Train which takes you up the mountain. It was exceptionally convenient. I would recommend using the spa at Kaltbad (halfway up). Vitznau is quiet and select and allows a relaxing holidays away from crowds. We ran every day along the lake to either Gersnau or Weggis (each 5kms) so enjoyed the flat as well as hiking in the mountains. The hotel was charming, beautifully looked after with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. My husband made good use of the excellent (free) paddle boards and enjoyed relaxing rides across the beautiful lake. I really had one of my best holidays ever in this beautiful place where you can be very active or just relax by the lake.

The choice of restaurants in Vitznau is limited but we enjoyed Rutli and Nostalgie near the Park as more affordable options. The food was delicious in both. You won't get a bottle of wine for less than 60 CHF so come prepared!

I booked this for my daughter and her partner. She also stayed at the Waldorf Versaille which actually had fireworks that she could see from her room overlooking the palace. She said your hotel exceeded that! Accommodation, service, breakfast, all top notch. Thank you for making my daughters stay so wonderful!

My daughter could think of nothing to improve! There was no air conditioniing but she said with the plans and windows open it was not a problem!

Everything! This is definitely a special place to unwind and relax. From the rooms, to the views, the location, the food, the amenities, my expectations were exceeded. The breakfast has anything and everything you could ever want to eat (pastries, yogurt, eggs anyway, meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, donuts, coffee, champagne, cereal/granola and so much more). The sauna and steam room are a great way to unwind, followed by a paddle board or swim in Lake Lucerne. Truly a great experience! Be sure to catch a sunset, you won't regret it.

It was abnormally hot for this time of year and the room does not have A/C, only a small fan. It was hard to cool off at night.

Everything from check-in to check-out is great. The staff are all very friendly and considerate—I truly feel that they care about their guests. It's a very comfortable environment to stay in. The building is well-maintained, and the breakfast is amazing—not to mention the lake view from the garden and the room balcony.
